<See, this is why we shoulda let me lead.> Thea spoke up from beside Dmitriy glancing around them before sitting on her butt in the path. They were lost. Or, so she thought. Dmitriy continued to claim he knew exactly where they were, but she doubted it. <Look, I swear we aren't lost. Have you seen anything familiar?> <Everything looks the same. Probably.> <No, you haven't.> Bane rolled her eyes, <It doesn't matter, we can take a break.> She plopped down beside the grass type, looking equally as tired. Dmitriy had kicked her off his back somewhere along the trail and she had been forced to walk. Dmtiriy reluctantly found a rock to perch himself and looked around. Everything did look the same, but he wasn't gonna admit that.

Walnut chuckled, sitting down beside the rock Dmitriy perched on - idly playing with a stray pebble. He recalled how he had fondly met this group, and smiled all the more. A section of grass wiggled slightly, as though there were something on the otherside of it. It made odd little noises - but they were hard to make out...Whatever was, though, didn't sound too angry. More like it was...Singing to itself?

Dmitriy watched it for a second, then turned to one of his pokemon to ask them to look. When they seemed content with where they were, he sighed and got up himself. He quietly approached the grass, reaching his hand out slowly and grabbing some of it in between his fingers and attempting to move it to the side to see whatever was behidn it. Though Bane chose not to move, both her and Thea leaned to the side to get a better view.

The grass yelped, and the red eyes of an Oddish wriggled up to see who was touching him and why. The little eyes widened in shock and horror as he saw the hugemongus creature that had a hold of his head, and he shook with fear. A Spearow, hearing the horrified cries of food, hopped into view - peering curiously at the Trainer and Oddish. "Spe-ear, row."

Dmitriy nearly leaped back, startled. Once he realized what was happening, he didn't know what to do. He wanted to calm it down, but he was afraid if he let go it'd run away. He kept his hand holding the leaves and thought of something to say. <Don't worry!> He said quickly, <I won't hurt you unless you attack me.> This of course was not really the truth, but it was in the case of this Oddish. It was not a pokemon of real interest to him at the time being, and unless it showed some sort of decent qualities he saw no point to it. Except for maybe training.. That worked too. He hadn't used Vince yet.. He debated what would become of this oddish, gently letting go after he had said his chosen words, deciding he would cross that bridge when he got there.

Staring at the Trainer oddly, the little round Pokemon hopped back a few steps - taking a moment to stare at everyone that had simply appeared while he was napping (for good reason, these crazy people were out and about when the sun was up!). A orange lizard-y creature, some sort of green creature and some odd looking thing that resembled some sort of strange rock. ~Wha...What do you want, then?~ he was confused. If the trainer didn't want to eat him, what else could he possibly want? The Spearow hunkered down in the grass, curious now. If the Trainer wasn't going to eat the Oddish, he would.

<Uh.. I want...> Dmitriy scratched his head. What did he want? What do trainers want? To "catch them all"? But why? What help would an Oddish do him? <I don't really know.>
Bane rolled her eyes. Dmitriy was quite possibly the worst trainer she had ever met. Most of them that passed by the lab when she was there seemed like they had some sort of clue as to what they were doing. At least he was nice enough.
Feeling awkward, the morph decided it was not fair to request something of him when he had accidentally stumbled upon the pokemon, and added, <What do you want? I don't think I need to explain myself when I wasn't the one laying around in the grass, now do I?>

The Oddish stared at the Morph with a clearly perplexed expression. ~...~ While the Cranidos laughed. ~Dmitriy, I think this would be a classic time to use your machine.~ he pointed with a claw towards the pack, grinning. The Oddish, for his part, was very confused. Laying in the grass? Well, maybe this tall creature shouldn't be so rude as to pull someone up from the ground. 'Lucky for him I didn't start sceaming...'
The Spearow pecked at the ground idly, mostly keeping an eye on the group. He was out of earshot, and had no idea what was going on. But, he didn't have anything better to do as of yet. Had time to kill before the flock moved on.

Dmitriy blinked. <My what?> He asked, turning to look from Walnut, then to his pack, <OH. Yeah, you're right.> He added quickly before the pokemon had to explain. Pulling out his pokedex, he stared at it for a second in his hand. He clicked some sort of slide on the side that opened a part of it, and directed it at the Oddish. Not sure if the machine would understand his plan, he tried to locate a button to give him the information. When he saw none of them happened to be labeled he stuck with pushing the largest one available.

The machine needed no prompting, and as soon as the slide was opened and pointed at the scared little Grass-type; a picture of it appeared on the screen. Oddish, the Weed type Pokemon During the daylight hours, Oddish burrow under the ground and leaving only it's leaves above exposed to avoid detection from it's enemies. While burrowed underground, Oddish absorbs the soil's nutrients and sunlight. It is awakened by moonlight, where it becomes active and sows it's seeds at it walks.
At the press of the button, a list of attacks scrolled the side near the picture, along with a glowing number, "5". > Absorb > Sweet Scent
The oddish simply stared. What was that crazy thing? The Cranidos seemed pleased, turning his attention from the Trainer and Wild Pokemon to the ground - where he began to dig a small hole out of boredoom.

Dmitriy looked pleased with this device. He assumed the five was the level, and the attacks were the Oddish' current attacks. Obviously. <Well, now that I think about it we could totally beat you.> he said enthusiastically looking pleased, <Level five doesn't seem like that much. What level are you, Bane?> <...Six.> <Oh. Nevermind then.> He seemed to back down from the idea but he still thought it over some more as he glanced back at the Oddish. If I still had Kio I could totally beat her.

"Od-dish?" the Grass-type blinked again, staring at the strange Trainer. ~Well, if you don't want anything... I got stuff to do.~ he murmured, shifting in discomfort. He didn't like the sunlight on his navy-blue body, and he didn't like being out in the open where his enemies could clearly see him...
"Spearow!" the little avian Pokemon hopped closer to the group, apparently getting bored with just watching.

Dmtiriy suddently decided that he was gonna challenge the Oddish pokemon, and started with, <Wait, actually I-> and then stopped when the avian pokemon dropped in on them. He jump back, staring at the pokemon. Then, as if it was some sort of weapon of terror, he pointed the machine at the bird pokemon, waiting until the stats came rolling out before pushing the big button again. He certainly did know what he was doing.
As the other pokemon leaped in the group, Bane and Thea jumped back as well. <What do you think you're doing?> Bane asked, actually angry that the stupid bird pokemon had startled her, <God. Talk about rude.>

Click, ding! ~ "Spearow the Tiny Bird Pokemon. It uses it's short wings to flap at high-speeds to stay airborne, and scare Bug-type Pokemon out of the grass; which it proceeds to eat with it's sharp beak. Inept at flying high, and at flying long distances, it instead darts quickly around it's territory emitting loud cries. Often travel in flocks. -- Travelers beware of large flocks of Spearow. Alone, and even at a low level, a Spearow is a tough Mirror Move using bird; and in a flock they become more dangerous -- Once more, by the picture a number appeared, "6" and a list of attacks below read; > Peck > Growl > Leer > Mirror Move
The avian tilted his head to the side, curious at the outrage. It's not like they had been doing something important. He preened his feathers with an air of disconcern, casting an uncaring look at the Charmander. He turned his attention to the tallest of all the Pokemon before him, wielding some sort of red... Thing. Huh, interesting. The Oddish backed off a few steps, looking for a nice loamy place to settle into again.

Dmitriy looked pleased, once again, and seemed to only listen to the last thing his machine had told him. 'in a flock they become more dangerous' He grinned. <Where's the rest of your little bird pals?> He asked, watching the little bird pokemon curiously. If there was no answer, he would attack. If there was a flock he guessed he'd better head his pokedex' advice.
Bane sniffed angrily, sitting in the dirt and promptly sending up a cloud of dust from beside her. She didn't like this pokemon. Already.
