<Scratch. See if you can avoid.. whatever that was, this time around.> Dmitriy said, even though his pokemon had already decided to do so on her own and was inching forward. When she came close enough, she lunged forward with the attack, putting as much of her power into it as possible, before shrinking back to try and avoid "whatever that was".

As soon as the attack connected, because the avian was sure to let it, the object appeared and the process began anew. A flash, and then the move was rebounded towards the Charmander. He cawed in pain, he was getting low on health now; but hopefully this tactic was working well against his opponent.

The attack missed, much to Bane's relief. Instead of going through with the battle cycle, however, she didn't wait for an order from Dmitriy, and used Scratch again. Her retreat wasn't as good as the first time, however, and she dreaded the mirroring attack as she stumbled back away from the Spearow. Dmitriy watched intently, obviously forgetting his role as trainer and turning more into a spectator. Not that he would have asked for any different, since he figured Bane was already in the lead stat-wise anyways.

The surprise of his ace attack missing was enough to stall him - and the Scratch sent him back to the earth in a harsh manner. "Sper..." he shook his head, obviously wounded. But he wasn't about to give up to these travelers. He used his Mirror Move once more, eyes narrowed in determination. He held his wings flared, ready for the next attack.

Bane was hit with the attack once again, and she felt pain in her side, once again. Dmitriy could tell the other pokemon was weakening severly, however, and yelled to his pokemon before SHE could start giving up. <Bane, use scratch. Don't even bother with Growl anymore, you can finish this off.> He called out to her, and she obeyed reluctantly, not enjoying this mirroring effect the other pokemon had.

Ready this time, the Spearow flapped, taking on air to 'leap' over his opponent; aiming to use Peck on her exposed back. "Spearow!" he couldn't afford anymore hits to use Mirror Move - though he hoped that the Trainer hadn't come to that assumption.
Attracted to the fight, a Wild Ponyta edged near, peering out of the grass with large liquid eyes. Young and curious, but also wary.

Bane was struck once again by the peck, and felt her own health drop to extremes. She needed to get this next hit in, or make sure the next one missed her. She doubted her body would let her keep going if another attack came in. She gave a half-hearted swipe at the escaping bird pokemon, then stumbled forward to avoid any mirroring attacks, almost appearing to run away, but stopping short to face her attacker.
Dmitriy was too intent on watching the battle to notice the new arrival. He eyes were narrowed, and he had his hand on an empty pokeball. Proof he didn't doubt he would win this one.

The Scratch missed, only because the Spearow was losing altitude. He had 'fainted' midair, after noting with satisfaction his move had hit. He slammed into the ground, weak but still proud. He'd shown that Trainer... 'If only I had been, a little bit stronger...' But, the fact was he hadn't of been. Oh well. There would be other battles... Surely.
The Ponyta nickered softly, ears pointed forward in curiousity.

Dmitriy had already thrown one of his pokeballs before his head snapped up to the slight noise from the Ponyta. He regretted attempting to catch the other pokemon instantly. His luck would be he WOULD catch it, the Ponyta wouldn't appreciate his intentions and would run off. And he would rather have a fire horse over a rude bird pokemon any day. He waited, keeping his eyes on the other pokemon patiently, not making any other noises. He really wanted to send his little fire lizard a smile or something to show his pride in the pokemon, but he was afraid of doing that too.
It wasn't too hard because Bane had already noticed the horse and was watching curiously too.

The ball sucked up the spent bird, and in a flash of light he was gone and the ball began to shake. It shuddered violently twice, a small weak third shake before the victorious ping! was sounded.
Spearow has been Caught! { Kai is super lazy though. So. ... It's a dude. And a Spearow. Not Shiny. Knows Mirror Move and it's at level... Uh... 6. You can fill in the rest. 83 }
The Ponyta's head shot up. Where had that bird gone? She nickered again, tilting her head at the actions of both Trainer and Pokemon. They both froze. Maybe they were confused about where the bird went too?

Dmitriy didn't really know what to do. The horse pokemon didn't seem like she'd be leaving though, and so he slowly went and picked up the pokeball. As soon as it was safely in his pack, he hesitated before greeting the Ponyta with a, "Hello there." Next to him, Bane seemed to loosen up, waving before pulling at Dmitriy's pants until he passed down his pack. She quickly rummaged through it in search of something to heal herself with.

The horse tilted her head as sounds came out of the new creature's mouth. She lowered to nose to the ground and looked forward, re-examining the two before her. One was small and orange, with fire on it's tail. So, they were sort of related. She smelled like smoke, too. That made her feel better. The other one, though, seemed odd. Whatever it was, was pretty tall for a Pokemon. And she was shocked she didn't understand his speech. Unless he wasn't talking? Well, what else could he have been doing...? Only one way to find out, she supposed. ~What?~ her voice was high, and hesitant.

He blinked. Why doesn't she understand? He thought to himself, eyes narrowing in confusion. The realization came to him after some time, and he sighed at his own slow understanding. <Sorry. Hello there.> he said, laughing lightly at his mistake. He didn't really know what else to do, so he waited.

The Ponyta's ears swivled forward, her eyes brightening with curiousity. ~Whoa.~ it spoke two languages? How cool! ~Hello!~ she nickered, prancing in place for a moment, before she lowered her head to look at the Charmander, ~Hello!~ she echoed, looking between the two, plus the odd looking blue rock that seemed to be smiling.

Dmitriy grinned, <Did you need something?> He asked, not really sure what else to say. He couldn't just attack her, he'd feel wrong doing so to such a friendly pokemon. It would be like beating a small child. But, wasn't that what trainers did when they saw a pokemon they wanted to add to their team? He was confused. Maybe he could just hope she wanted to fight. Which, he highly doubted.
