The Luxio paused in his agression for a moment, ~Leaf attack? Did you just start or something?~ he growled, turning from the salad to the Trainer, to give him a look of annoyance. Before the leaves struck. His fur deflected some damage, but several leaves sliced along his hide before he shook the attack off. "Rrrrghh..." letting out a primal growl, the lion-like Pokemon charged the distance between him and his foe; opening his mouth to get a nice Bite on Thea.

The battle-trained Chikorita quickly bounced out of the way, a smirk crossing her face. She looked over at her trainer who looked as if he was about to leap into the battle himself. "Again!" She heard him say, and in a second leaves surrounded her again and shot out towards the Luxio.
Dmitriy shot a look back at Walnut. <What level does Shinx evolve? Do you know?> He asked, finally truely concerned.

More prepared this time, the Luxio hunkered down and pulled static electricity from the air around him to create a small electric shield out of Charge, grinning at the little punk. A few leaves scratched across him, but they were no big concern for him. They hurt less than before because of his Charge up anyway. And he was feeling much more energetic. He sprinted at her again, jaws open wide to Bite.
Walnut blinked, ~Mm. Somewhere around 15 I should think.~ he replied, arching a brow at the Trainer.

Dmitriy's heart dropped. One of the reasons being his Chikorita was now being chomped on by a huge electric pokemon, and another reason was said electric pokemon was seven levels higher than his Chikorita. <She's gonna lose out there, isn't she?>
He smiled despite this newfound disturbing fact to see Thea struggle away from the teeth, deep cuts in her side from where they scraped on her way out. He didn't have time to give an order before she turned and leaped at him in a Tackle.

The wild feline had both feet planted firmly on the ground, and took the Tackle with good stride. He shook the attack off, sparking a little in irritation. Like being attacked by a bug... He gave her a sideways glance, and then his look hardened into a mean looking Leer.
~It's always a possibility.~ the Cranidos said, tilting half of his body to the side, ~But, try to focus on winning, rather than possibly losing.~

Thea backed up away from the frightening look he was giving her, shivering slightly and giving a light Growl under her breath. Her eyes locked onto the Luxio, awaiting her trainer's orders.
Dmitriy nodded at this, and turned back to his fighting pokemon. <Just wait for his move Thea and dodge. Retaliate how you see fit.> He didn't see his pokemon react to the order but he knew she was listening, and doing as he asked.

One of the coolest advantages to fighting a Trainer's Pokemon, was that while the Pokemon they were commanding could hear orders - so could the Pokemon they were fighting. At this order, the Luxio cast a chilling look over to the Trainer, and crouched down like a hunter. The static in the air became heavy again as the Electric-type used Charge.

The Chikorita was stubborn, and refused to take the bait. She stood her ground, waiting for his attack as ordered, her eyes never leaving the opposint pokemon. If he's going to take the time to change our stats, so am I she thought, letting out her own Growl, to improve her chances in the mean time.

The Luxio smirked, still tensed up. With two Charged stock-piled, he felt it was time. Taking a breath, he closed his eyes and summoned the electricity inside himself. He opened his eyes to feeling fast and powerful, as the electricity he let stay dormat awoke and surrounded him. He shot forward then, streaking across the ground as quickly as he could. He was intent on hitting his foe with Spark.

The grass pokemon had stared him down long enough that she was ready. She dove to the side in order to miss the attack, but had not taken into account the time he had spent preparing it. She was struck by the attack all the same and skid through the dirt for a moment after her landing. Blue electricity surrounded her but disappeared in seconds.
Dmitriy was already stepping to her aid when she got slowly back to her feet. He stopped, startled. How is she still going? She looked determined, but she also seemed like she would fall at any moment. Her eyes immediately locked on the electric type in front of her, as if beckoning him to attack her once more.
<...Do I call her back..?> He asked Walnut doubtfully, watching the grass pokemon wearily, <I don't think she'd appreciate it but- I mean- you see her right?>

Walnut looked up at the Trainer he was following, and tilted his head in thought. ~I have seen Trainers allow Pokemon to fight until they have nothing left. I have seen Trainers switch, and switch, and switch; seeking to have the upper-hand in type.~ he fixed the boy with a expressionless look, ~Dmitriy. If she is determined to win, and you are determined to win; continue the fight. If you don't support her, however, she cannot support you.~ he paused, ~I could totally take this guy, though.~ he added with a sly smirk.
The Luxio puffed his chest out and roared loud, stomping a paw on the ground and swishing his tail. His ears twitched at the growls the Trainer made, but it did little to dampen a victory he could smell was close. This is mine, he stalked to the side; circling the foolish Grass-type. He darted forward after several paces, intending to wrap it up with a quick Bite.

She lowered herself to peer at him carefully, not removing her gaze from her opponent even once. Finally, she detected his change of pace, and the sudden lunge forward. With speed matching his, she shook herself, a spray of leaves surrounding her for a moment. In seconds, they were cutting the air between them on their way to the electric type.
Thea crouched once the attack was sent, awaiting the contact from the other pokemon's move. It seemed inevitable at this point, but at least she could do damage before she lost.
Dmitriy rolled his eyes at the Cranidos, but decided to take his advice. He turned back to the battle, her pokeball small in his hand as he prepared to call her back at any moment. With a smirk of his own, he commented over his shoulder. "As fun as it would be to watch you take him out, I would like to see some improvement in my party for once."

He let out a surprised growl as the leaves flew at him, and with a hiss he continued his run while glaring forward. Like he would let some little leaves stop him from being victorious! "Luuuuux!" he roared, and kept moving torward the Grass-type, even as the sharp leaves cut at him. He made a change in plan mid-run, however, and quickly replaced his attack with Spark.
Walnut smirked, and settled into a more comfortable spot. He could have said something witty, but that would have ruined all the effort he'd put into that pep-talk.

As expected, the move struck her, sending her back. There was another small dose of electricity accompanying, but it soon fading. She knew it was supposed to make the attack /worse/, but felt like most of the damage came from the initial hit. Once again she was slowly getting to her feet, feeling sore as she did so.
"Tackle!" Came a voice from her right and she glanced over to see Dmitriy watching her expectantly, "...If you still can." He seemed to have noted the amount of damage she had taken, reconsidering his decision for a physical move.
Her expression hardened, clearly taking his doubt as a challenge. She rounded on the Luxio without hesitation and charged herself at him.

The Luxio was feeling proud of himself by this time, assuming his opponent had been taken care of, and was about to stalk away when suddenly a dead weight slammed into his side. He let out a mrrrowl! of surprise and skidded a little to the side before falling over; looking down right bewildered. How on earth was his foe still moving? He growled, forcing himself to his paws, but one eye was closed in the effort it took. That Tackle had caught him by surprise and had clearly scored a Critical hit. But if she wouldn't stop, then he wouldn't either. "LUUUUX!" he let out a stalwart roar and, wincing but once, charged his foe with his fangs bared - fully intending to go through with a Bite.
