With a few determined spins, the Oddish was gone - and only grass sprigs remained with the Wild Spearow and Dmitriy's Pokemon. The little bird cawed, looking pleased to know an answer someone else did not have. ~Roosting.~ he stated, with an air of knowledge. He gestured with his head to a large tree some distance away - where slight shadows could denote the prescence of other Spearow. Or he could be lying.

Squinting in the direction the Spearow had indicated, Dmitriy could see nothing but a bunch of suspicious shadows. But, there was also no proof they were really bird pokemon. They could be bug pokemon, or fruit, or a flock of Pigeys. He really wanted to train, honestly. After meeting up with Tak and Ardeo he realized he was already behind. <Then why aren't you with them? It's obvious you don't have anything better to do.> He said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He would find out if this bird was bluffing.

The bird tilted his head, ~Do your Pokemon spend every minute with you?~ he cawed; curious at the barrage of questions. Blinking, though, he noticed the Oddish was gone. There went the free meal... He chirruped under his breath, looking sad. Oh well. These guys were interesting enough. He could chill for a bit.

<They do but they don't waltz up to things that are stronger than them that might challenge them to a fight. Because they're obviously smarter than you.> He said simply, but didn't make any move to attack the small bird pokemon. Something was still telling him it was probably a very bad idea to do so. Bane, however, sensed a fight about to start and hoped she would be picked. She had yet to really get some good expirience. All the difficult fights she had lost. This one would be different, and she hoped Dmitriy would choose her instead of a different pokemon.

Walnut began to laugh, ~Smarter, maybe. But they love to fight as much as you do Dmitriy! They'd challenge Entei for you, and you know it.~ the Cranidos chuckled, getting up to stretch; greatly amused by what the Trainer had said.
The Spearow blinked, ~I'm not stupid.~ he cawed, fluffing his feathers. ~I didn't challenge anyone to anything; you started asking questions and yelling at me.~ the Flying-type looked offended at all these words flying around. He wasn't stupid.

Dmitriy sighed. <I don't appreciate the lack of support in back.> He called over his shoulder, but smiled none the less. He liked Walnut. The ground type could probably throw rocks at him and he would find it funny somehow.
<I didn't yell at you, nor did I say you challenged us. I said we could challenge you. And win.> He said, <You should listen better.>

Walnut ignored Dmitriy, instead interesting himself in rummaging through the nearby brush for some sort of Berries to snack on. But he smiled as he pushed blades aside - glad this trainer thought mostly through impulses so that he could come along.
The bird-type blinked once, slowly, and then opened his wings - flying eye level with the Poke'Morph. ~Thems sound like fightin' words, yanno.~ he hooked the Houndoom with unafraid black pearls, looking offended now.

Dmitriy counldn't help but partially mock the bird's strange way of speaking with his reply, leaning his head closer to the bird's face and replying, <Maybe thems is fightin' words.> Without giving the bird a chance to reply, Dmitriy leaned back and snapped, <Bane! Scratch.>
Clearly excited, the fire type leaped forward, taking two quick lunges forward on all fours before leaping high into the air and swinging out with her claws, trying to hit her mark. A large smile was spread out on her face as she thought over how cool the attack must have looked coming from a lizard, not a feline. A cat would be understandable, but you didn't get air-shots from the every day Charmander.

The Spearow tilted his head and then felt contact along his breast bone, cawing in hurt. He flapped to regain his altitude and then fixed the Charmander with a hard Leer, clearly perplexed at this sudden challenge. or, rather, clearly perplexed at the sudden attack. Any noises once heard in the brush from other Pokemon were halted, and only the gentle, shkshkshk of Walnut ( happily ignoring the battle ) rummaging for food could be heard. Besides the rapid flapping of thier avian friend.

The fire-type was satisfied with the hit, but locked on to recieve the full effects of the stat-draining move. She shivered inwardly, letting out a small growl do dampen the next attack's damage. <Good.> Dmitriy said, not noticing the silence, but happy with his pokemon's move-choice for the time being, <Let's make this quick though, go in for another scratch when you see an opening.> The Charmander nodded, going on all fours again and circling the avian type, keeping her eyes locked on it for any sudden movements to attack.

The Spearow flapped passively, eyeing the reptile much the same way. He heard the Trainer's commands, and knew what would happen next. Still... He rotated, eyes following, before he tipped himself and his body forward - moving with the speed only a dive could grant. His beak began to glow a soft white, as he aimed for his enemy with a Peck.

The Charmander's escape was a little late, granting her a glancing blow on the side. It stung a bit, but nothing compared to it hitting full on, she could tell. It was what she had been waiting for, and as soon as the bird type took the dive she leaped to the side, claw raising as the bird fell, and falling as the bird rose, hoping to use the other's speed to her own advantage.

The Wild Spearow flared his wings as soon as he made contact, letting the hit take him full on. He grinned, using the blow to face his attacker. A flat barrier appeared before him, glowing white but oddly transluscent before it flashed and brought with it a Mirrored Scratch towards his foe.

It was clear that neither the Charmander or the Trainer expected that. Bane stumbled back, feeling the blow scratch across her lower neck down her upper back. She shook herself, trying to numb it a bit. She let out a Growl again, delaying the time when she would have to reach for the small bird pokemon again. Jumping didn't sound like the funnest idea with the scratch fresh on her back. She went back to circling again, staying more determined than her last rounds around the pokemon, remembering she had failed to avoid the attack the last time.

The Spearow countered with a Growl of his own, looking satisfied at the looks of surprise from both Trainer and Trained Pokemon. He flapped gently to stay in place, moving as the reptile did - eyes locked onto her movements.
