Dmitriy glanced around wearily. There were more trees here, and he hoped the pokemon would be a little more normal than the last place. He felt a little like a male Alice, running through Wonderland and trying to find a place to go. He did, however, appreciate his new companion who was joining him while he trained the weird Budew he had captured. Bane was falling asleep on his head, and he finally stopped when the strange path out of Landark could no longer be seen.

A pair of light brown ears popped out of the grass, twitching a few times before a small round body was propelled into the air, allowing a pair of dark black eyes to spot the Trainer and his 'companions'. The Sentret let out a trill, warning the rest of his fellows, allowing them time to scatter and preparing to fight for his Clan if the need arose.

Dmitriy stopped and watched the little pokemon for a minute, confused. He wasn't going to do anything to it, and didn't even see it until it leaped out. Shrugging, he stated bluntly, <What do you want?> Getting the impression that the little ball was waiting for something. If he wasn't, he figured Bane might be able to beat it. He didn't like the determined expression on the other pokemon's face to go against his Budew. Maybe a more.. half-dead deranged old level one pokemon.

The Sentret continued to stare Dmitriy down, fur fluffing out as the Morph spoke down to him. How rude, ~It's not what I want, stranger, it's what you want.~ his beady eyes glared at the, admittedly, taller of the two- determined not to back down.

Bane was now awake, watching the pokemon with a curious gaze as Dmitriy thought about what to say to that. He didn't know what he wanted, <I want a magical way to train a crazy Budew.> He stated, hopeful, <Do you know how I can do that?> Bane snorted, shaking his head. <You know that's impossible.> He said, chuckling at his trainer who grinned.

The Sentret lost his fierce pose in an instant. Normally, trainers yell out things like "Scatch attack!" or the nonsense about stealing wives and children, but Magic? ~Whoa, what planet are you from?~ the Sentret mumbled, lowering himself to the ground gently, and staring at the Trainer with a skeptical look, ~That's not how invaders act.~ the tone of voice was off, too. What a freak.

<Oh.. Um.. Do you want me to attack you?> This came from bane who crawled down Dmitriy's back and landed on the ground behind him. <Is that what these "invaders" normally do?> Dmitriy asked, <I mean, I didn't think a pokemon would /want/ to be randomly attacked, but I guess it's your choice..>

The Sentret rubbed his head, didn't these guys learn anything from their elders? ~What kind of trainer are you?~ the little brown Pokemon asked, his eyes half narrowed at the group. Walnut took a few steps closer, casting a sideways look up at the Morph he was stalking, ~The Wild one has a point, you know. As a trainer, aren't you supposed to randomly attack? They probably expect it around here.~

Dmitriy shrugged at both of them. <You jumped out at me. I thought you came to say something special.> Bane watched his trainer. He got the feeling if the Sentret said he wasn't going to say anything special, he would be asked to fight. He was ready for this one.

~I did not jump out!~ the Sentret protested, ~I live here! What do you think I am, a monster?~ The Cranidos chuckled, about to reply with: Why yes we are monsters but motioned to instead say; ~What do you think is so special about a Sentret? It's not like they carry Macho Braces around with them.~

Dmitriy shook his head, clearly giving up on these pokemon. <Fine. You practically asked me to attack you. Nevermind something special. Bane, you can do it.> The charmander jumped forward enthusiastically. <I guess you can only use scratch for this battle. I'll look for little breaks where you can give yourself stat boosters, but other than that look for places to attack.> The charmander nodded, not taking any time to leap towards the pokemon, clawing out quickly with his claws.
<As for you..> Dmitriy turned to Walnut, <What's a Macho Brace?>

The Sentret blinked, and then narrowed his eyes, darting forward to use his own Scratch attack, fluffy tail flaring out behind him.
The dinosaur looked over at Dmitriy, surprised, ~Ya dunno?~ the Cranidos murmured, tilting his head to the side

Dmitriy shook his head. <The only things I've learned about being a trainer is from talking my ex-girlfriend. She was a trainer too, and used to tell me all about it. I never learned much, but I got really tired of living at him with my old man and so I decided to just leave. She never got into the details, just told me we were supposed to go to the lab, get a pokemon, throw pokeballs at weakened pokemon to capture them, and go on an adventure.> He laughed, <Not very informative, if you ask me.>
Bane tried to stop, but the scratch hit him. Before the Sentret got too far away, he lunged out towards it, feeling the slight pain in his shoulder where the attack hit.

~Ah, well, there's a bit more to it then an ex-...Whatever can tell you.~ he turned to face Dmitriy fully, and took on a more teacher-esque tone. ~Macho Brace raises strength earned in battle.~
The Sentret yelped, feeling the Charmander slam into him, and rolled away in a Defense Curl- eyes screwed shut.

The charmander rolled away as well, growling in the other's direction. He didn't know any other attacks. Boy wouldn't it be nice when he learned Ember.
Frowning at this, he waited for an attack in his direction. He seemed to get the hang of taking attacks and returning them.
<Sounds useful. I also need some TMs for Bane. His battles are kinda boring to watch.> Dmitriy chuckled, <Something good. Except I don't know how to find out what TMs work for Charmanders.>
