The Charmander rolled her eyes but didn't say anything. Dmitriy just chuckled. "This little group needs more sane pokemon, not a babysitter." He laughed, "Though if you wanted to look after Kiz..." He mentally thanked himself for leaving the absent minded pokemon in the pokeball during his nap. He didn't want to lose her, of all things.
"And you didn't help me with the baby. Am I supposed to put it her a pokeball now?" He waited for an answer then added quickly, "PLEASE tell me I can put her in a pokeball."

The green Pokemon tilted her head, red eyes narrowed in confusion. ~Kiz?~ she looked between all the current Pokemon. She knew she was missing something here. ~...?~
Walnut stared at the Houndoom, ~What am I? Your babysitter?~ the Cranidos chuckled, ~Dunno, never raised kids. Wouldn't hurt, though. Prolly be better, actually. Peace and quiet will reign once more.~

Dmitriy nodded, stopping as a muffled voice came from his bag. He whipped around in time to see her pull out one of his Luxury Balls. <This one looks mighty nice.> She said, her high pitched voice making him wince a little, <I choose this one.> Dmitriy glowered and reached towards the ball, pulling it out of her hand. <This pokeball's special and-> <I KNOW it's special. DUH. I WANT it to be special because I AM special.> She snapped back, arms crossed once again. He stared at her, as if willing her to disappear. After a while meeting her unfazed look he sighed in defeat. At least this should help her like him better. He threw the pokeball at her, hoping a little in the back of his head that it might not work and instead hit her across the head and render her unconscious. It didn't, of course. He watched her vanish into one of his special pokeballs. As soon as she did, however, the pokeball came back at him with the force he had thrown it and smacked him in the chest. Glowering he caught it on its way down and shoved it in his bag. <Lovely, isn't she?> He asked, sarcasm dripping off of each word.
He returned his bag to the ground and turned to the rest of his pokemon. <Kiz.. She's a grass type. Maybe you can rub your magnificent grass-type beating fire-type mojo all over her and save the world.> He found her ball on the ground next to him, brushing it off and gently releasing her. The Budew looked around and, completely ignoring the other pokemon, wandered away a few feet to a flower and pulled it out of the ground. <Kiz!> Dmitriy said abruptly and the grass pokemon turned to face him, <See that grass-type right there? Use absorb.> The Budew focused on the Chikorita, glowing a faint green before her eyes caught on to a flower behind the target and she ran forward quickly to gather it. Once she had pulled the second flower, she noticed she had another one in her other hand. <How'd that get there?> She asked, staring for a while before giggling, <Look, guys!> She said, waving both of them at the assembled group of pokemon and 'morph.
<I'm sure you see the problem.>

The Chikorita stared at the Budew for a long time, her mouth slowly opening. ~Holy Mew...~ she murmured, much to Walnut's pleasure. ~Yeah. She's a bit... Everywhere. Good friend of mine, though. Shoulda been born a Zigzagoon, really.~ the Cranidos said, smiling softly at the annoying Grass-type. The wild Pokemon looked back at the Houndoom, clearly perplexed. ~Your trying to train...That?~

Dmitriy rolled his eyes. <If she is your best friend shouldn't you be helping train her?> He asked, almost whining, <Though, I think Vincent could help us a lot with the babysitting.> He said, referring to his newly named Sentret who he probably figured he should heal since he hadn't let the pokemon out since beating him up. He grinned back at the Chikorita. <It'll happen eventually.>

~Ah, well. On that note, I'll share with you a secret. Between the two of us; your the Pokemon Trainer and I am not.~ the dinosaur replied with a grin. ~Thus, it is your problem. You really should look into using that red device, though. I've heard it say lots of interesting things about the Pokemon where I used to live.~
The Grass-type blinked several times. What a crazy group...~Ahuh. Well. I guess I'll just be heading back to the Arena.~ she tilted her leaf at the Charmander, ~Maybe we'll get to battle again sometime; and then I'll show you Type doesn't just equal the win. Elements or not.~

The trainer waved the grass type off with a smile and no intention of preventing her leave. He looked excited only when a bundle of paper fell out of the sky. Sasqui Newspaper. Bane looked between her trainer and her newfound friend. Or, rival, either one was more interesting than most of Dmitriy's other pokemon. He had expected his trainer to request to keep the grass type. That's what trainers did, was it not? He glowered at his trainer who was rummaging through the newspaper for the potion he could use on this 'Vincent'. Without a word to anyone else, she ran off towards the grass type. <Wait up.> She said, <Maybe you could travel with us?> Realizing how awkward that might sound to a free pokemon who might not want a trainer, she added, <'Cause I thought we could be friends. It's hard when he has so few pokemon, becuase I feel like I only get along with him. Walnut's nice but he'll beat the crap out of me any time I want to battle.> She looked sheepish at this statement that she had deemed as fact.

The Chikorita looked at Bane with a curious expression. Hm...~...~ she tilted her head and leaf to the side. ~Well.~ Bane sure was nice, for a Fire-type...And, traveling might mean she could get stronger, faster. Which would be good. ~...Alright.~

Bane looked overly thrilled with this and glanced back at Dmitriy. <Can she stay with us?> She yelled back to the trainer who looked up sharply, trying to comprehend it for a second. When he realized Bane was talking about the Chikorita, he shrugged. <Do you honestly think I'd say no to a strong grass-type?> he said, sounding actually a little excited, <Of course not. Come on and join us. We're heading towards that beach path that leads to.. well.. the beach, so you should get a lot of good training there with the water types. I don't care what you say, type difference is a very good advantage.>

The Chikorita huffed, ~Don't forget-~ Walnut cut her off, ~Ice and Water? Don't worry about it. Nothing should be high-leveled enough to be able to hurt you.~ The Grass-type looked miffed, but walked over to the Fire-type Morph, looking up at him expectantly.

<Alright.> Was all he said, grinning. Dmitriy picked up his bag again and sifted through the items, withdrawing a pokeball. He glanced at the expectant Chikorita, realizing that she was indeed female and if he knew anything at all about females he knew they wanted the best he had to offer. He was sure that was the same with pokemon. So, he quickly dropped the ball back into his bag and came back out with another Luxury Ball. He looked pleased at his breif understanding of the female species, and looked back down at the grass type. Not knowing what he was supposed to say to a pokemon he intended to catch without hurting, he tossed the ball at her, as if catching a weakened pokemon, knowing full well she could change her mind in the process, but hoping she wouldn't. Bane approved, therefor so did he.

The Grass-type, seeming to sense the Pokemon her new Trainer had chosen was special, let out an appreciative noise, before leaping to meet the ball in mid-air. Seemingly, she needed to show off a little.
Dmitriy has Befriended and Caught Wild Chikorita!
Name: {TC} Gender: Female Species: Chikorita Level: 7 MoveSet: Tackle | Growl | Razor Leaf Persona: A rather full-of-herself sort of Pokemon, she believes in brute strength over type advantages. While she may be loud about her own strength, she's not too bull-headed to see who is and isn't her friends; and she knows who to fight and who to trust. She really enjoys the company of her new rival, Bane. And doesn't really seem to like Walnut...

Dmitriy looked pleased with the capture, grabbing the ball as it came back to him and putting it in his bag, watching the Chikorita inside. He wanted to hurry to the next path before letting her out again. There were more distractions when he had more pokemon out, and he wanted to hurry through. He felt full of energy after his nap. <Don't worry, I'll let her out on the path to Sandwind.> He stated to Bane who opened her mouth to argue. She looked pleased with this and leaped up his leg and onto his back, looking forward enthusiastically. He called back Kiz, guestured to Walnut to follow, and headed forward again.

After making sure Kiz wouldn't go bouncing off on her own, Walnut followed - a content air about him. It wasn't long before they were passing the tree whose insides were hallowed - and within there were great tournments for the masses of Wild Pokemon were held. A faint shimmer from the boughs might have just been their Volbeat friend, wating the convoy with delighted eyes. The end of the Route was near... And it seemed peaceable enough. The only thing in their way was a grazing lone Stantler.
