~They need that reguardless. It's how a plant lives; but when in captivity...~ he tilted a good half of his body, ~Well, I don't know what it means. I've never been in captivity. You have. What did you need? Or, rather, do need?~

<Attention?> The charmander asked, pretty sure he was wrong, <I don't know if I understand what you're coming from.>

The Cranidos blinked, grinning, ~That's it! She's like a Riolu. She needs sunlight, and...Love.~ he nodded, satisfied with himself. He would never forget that again. It had simply been too long since anyone had talked seriously about Kiz; he had shuffled that information right out of his head.

<There's pokemon that evolve from love?> The charmander asked, blinking. He always thought it was about the items and training. Well, maybe that was just because that was the only part that concerned him. Training, training, and more training. He had a long way to go..

Walnut stared back at Bane, surprised. ~Naturally~ he said, grinning proudly, he had been hoarding information about Trainers and their shenanigans for a while now; he was proud to say he knew quite a lot - and what he should expect them to do. ~Like, Riolu and...Budew. There are a few others, too. Most of those also depend on the time of day.~ he said with a nod.

<Well, he's both very lucky and very not lucky. He's lucky because she can't remember all the mean things he said about her. And he's not lucky because she really annoys him, and he's likely to not show her any love any time soon.> The charmander said, chuckling, <I don't know if I should tell him. That might ruin the fun of watching him try to train her.>

~This is true. It would really only take one kind thing, I think. Kiz has been at my side ever since I saved her from a Poochyena.~ he was still sorta surprised she could remember her own name sometimes, let alone his.

<Well, I guess we can tell him if we ever decide to cross that bridge. For now, though, we should see if he can figure it out himself. He needs to learn to show more love for his pokemon anyways. I'm just lucky because I'm his favorite.> He said, grinning, <He has a thing for fire-types, and when we were in the lab he didn't really even think about it before choosing me, so he must be into charmanders.>

~That sounds very wrong, on several levels.~ Walnut replied, off hand with a very large, quite kidding, grin. ~But, it's understandable. He smells like brimstone and doom~

The charmander stopped, looking confused. He, obviously, was not used to perverse humor and often didn't get half the jokes. Dmitriy liked to come up with them as well, cracking up at his own joke while his charmander tried to get it. <Anyways.. do you know where we're going?> He asked, glancing around him now that he was stopped. He hadn't been paying any attention while they were talking.

~I assumed you did, oh Navigator.~ the Cranidos replied, yawning slightly. He was starting to feel like he should have stayed behind. Took a nap, relaxed.

The charmander shook his head. <I was never let out of my pokeball until Dmitriy got ahold of me. I have no idea what routes to take and what-not.>

~They never told you anything?~ the dinosaur asked, surprised. He had assumed they told the Pokemon something. It was their single purpose of being raised in a Lab, afterall: To be taken away from their home and mothers on ludicrus journeys.

The charmander shook his head. <Not me.> He said, <Though I admit I wasn't there long. People like the starters, I've heard.>

~Hm. I have to admit, your the only fire-lizard I've seen on this Route. Or, well. On my Route. Mostly fellow rocks, Grass- or Normal-types...~ It has been a pain, training when he was a newbie.
