<It's an easy life, being a Bulbasaur,> was the response, a yawn interrupted it before he continued, <Everyone likes Bulbasaurs. I'm not really used to bein' attacked like that.> His words were half finished and sluggish. He felt tired from this belly-rubbing treatment. <An'... none of 'em try to catch me either. Say I'm too sluggish.> It was true. He was a lazy pokemon. He could fight, yes, but he'd never done it unprovoked.

Awwwwwh Ardeo gave the little green dinosaur Pokemon another good scratching before he pushed himself up, "Well, you take care of yourself." he smiled down at the little guy, he didn't want to ruin the little guys fun. And he seemed to enjoy a lazy life, Arde wasn't 100% sure the little fella would have an 'easy' life with traveling around a region and trying to get Badges. Besides, most of his Pokemon were getting really tired, he didn't want to pick a fight if he didn't have to. He pointed mock-sternly, "Most Trainers will try to catch you. It's pretty rare to see a Bulbasaur in the wild, you know." he grinned, "Me and Shields here are going to head off for the next place, will you be alright?"

Another yawn. <You think so? I don't want to be captured by someone like that kid.> He frowned the best a Bulbasaur could frown, and gently pushed himself back on all fours as Ardeo got up. He watched the man for a while, still maintaining a pensive expression. <You know plenty of trainers, you know the odds of getting a good one, right?> He would need to get out of the habit of letting trainers approach him so easily, if the odds weren't in his favor.

"Hmmm..." Ardeo considered that, "It depends on what you see as good. I don't think I'm all too bad." he scratched his head. He'd left...A few Pokemon behind that didn't want to join him. But then there were a few he'd caught because he wanted to, regardless of their feelings. "But the whole point for a trainer is to catch Pokemon to raise - I would assume most trainers would blaze through here...And if they saw you, try to attack you...So they can catch you." he crossed his arms in thought, "It might be best for you to hide most of the time, if you don't want to get caught." ~Or train~ Shields offered.

<Train?> He frowned at this thought. It sounded like work, and he didn't really do work. <Are Pokeballs comfortable?> He was talking to the Pokemon now, knowing Ardeo probably had no idea. If they were comfortable, he'd want to be with a trainer who never used him. Walking was a hard enough task, so he also hoped to not be with a trainer who liked to talk, either. And he was too lazy to avoid the trainers in the first place, so getting caught was inevitable, really.

Both Ardeo and Shields blinked at obvious...laziness of the Bulbasaur. The Blaziken chuckled softly, and nodded at Shields to go ahead and answer. ~Well, they're not bad...It's hard to describe. They're comfortable enough, but I like to be out and about. My sister, Saffron, though. She loves being in her Poke'ball. She's in there right now, safe and sound. That's what I like about Poke'balls - they're safe. Very few things can happen to hurt you in a Poke'ball.~ he nodded firmly to himself and then blinked, ~Not that I'm trying to tell you to throw yourself into one, though.~ Ardeo shrugged, "I think I have a Luxury Ball. I could keep you safe." he offered a smile, "And you don't have to battle." 'I should buy a farm for some of these guys...' Despite their Type difference, Arde was certain this Bulbasaur and Anya would get along pretty great.

He thought about this. The process took a while, and when it seemed like he had forgotten about the offer entirely, he nodded. <Fine. If you ensure both my safety and my comfort, I will happily oblige.> He liked the idea of not having to move around, and the pros of being a pet seemed to outweigh the cons of losing his freedom. He'd be fed, carried around in a Luxury Ball, and wouldn't be interrupted mid-sleep by an annoying Andy-like trainer.
He didn't get up, however, clearly expecting Ardeo to come his direction to catch him instead.

Ardeo was just getting ready to silently back off and continue on his journey when the Bulbasaur spoke up again. He blinked a few times, not really sure if it should be this easy. He looked over his shoulder to make sure no one else was going to crash in on him. After confirming the empty space, he nodded, grinned wide and stepped toward the green bulb Pokemon. He reached into his pack and pulled out the oddly colored Luxary ball, placing it just in front of the Bulbasaur's nose. "All you have to do, it tap that button right there." he pointed at it for good measure.

He sighed and opened his large red eyes, looking at the ball before him. Work. He stretched his head... a little more... more... the button was on his nose, and with a final lunge forward, the light consumed him. There were three small wiggles, before the red light faded to white. Bulbasaur was easily captured!Name: You choose Level: 9 Moves: Tackle | Growl | Leech Seed | Vine Whip Ability: Overgrow Personality: Incredibly lazy, this Pokemon will only fight when the other instigates it, and he fights hard in order to get it over with quickly. He is incredibly laid back, and pretty calm with just about anything.

Ardeo smiled faintly at the look the Bulbasaur gave the Luxary Ball, and scooped the ball up after it locked after the 'saur. "Well." he looked around, putting a hand on his hip. "This place blows." he nodded to himself, to confirm it with himself, and looked at Shields. "I think it's time to get out of here." Shields nodded, standing up and stretching out his longer body. With that, Ardeo pulled out the Poke'ball that held the Luxio and his sister, he turned the cat-Pokemon and made for the exit with all due haste. 'God, it will be so nice to be free of this miserable, nasty, dark, gross...Just...Crappy place.'
