Tombstones littered the large graveyard, forming a circle in the center. In this circle, a congregation of different pokemon gathered around. Two mightyenas sat, looking regal, their heads straight and staring out into the night. Guards. Poocheynas were near them as well, guarding the group of pokemon with the same, if not double, the effort the two evolved dogs put in. A cluster of five or six Sableye were in the middle, with a ghastly and a shuppet hovering over them. They seemed to be deep in a conversation. The haunter was having a discussion with a duskull not far off. Lastly, two houndour were having a conversation with a very hostile looking Seviper. Around the circle, on the largest tombstones, were the trainer and pokemon. Ardeo was stuck to a very large tombstone. Not by rope, but by a very strong force from the multiple psychic attacks directed his way. The vulpix and eevee were both on the same tombstone, pressed up to it just like the trainer. The charmander was on yet another tombstone, and quite a few other tombstones were littered with pokemon that were not Ardeo's. There was a Psyduck on one, and next to him, a Wooper. The last pokemon was a growlith. The three trainer-less pokemon captives were wide awake, struggling but getting nowhere.
A large pile of pokeballs, potions, and other things littered the side of the circle, away from any pokemon.

Ardeo muttered something in his sleep, half-waking up but refusing to believe it was time to get moving again, and went to roll over. Suddenly finding out that he couldn't roll over made him half open his golden eyes and stare dumbly at all the Pokemon before him. "...?" he tilted his head, blinking a few times before yawning, and staring again. 'Pokemon...' he swept the area again, '...Lots of Pokemon...' the Blaziken gave a shake of his head, and looked around himself- noticing that he appeared to be glued to a tombstone. 'Hm...Daemon, random Eevee...Tak...Random Psyduck, Wooper, Growlithe...Lots of Pokemon not glued to rocks...' He would have scratched his head in confusion had that been possible. "...What the hell did I sleep through...?" he could feel just the smallest inkling of panic settle in when he, finally, noticed that the other three non-sleeping Pokemon were struggling as though their lives were on the line. 'This could be more trouble than I thought when I first woke up...' The other two Fire-types rested blissfully on the tombstones, but they were breathing which was enough for Ardeo for the moment.

The pokemon's conversations died down as the word got across that the human was awaking. Not by word of mouth, but by mind. Every pokemon turned to look at him. All the pokemon except the growlith, wooper, and psyduck stopped to look at the trainer. After a short silence, the haunter came forward. Small murmerings and chuckles could be heard through the crowd, and the gastly was making circles with excitement. <Trainer.> The haunter began, and a hush fell across the group of pokemon again, <You are brought here for a test.> The pokemon said, glancing at the assembled pokemon who were nodding vigerously. <If you do not follow through with this test, you will accept leaving alone. Without you supplies and without your pokemon. Do you accept?> Now, even the trainer-less pokemon had quieted down to hear the answer.

Ardeo blinked, flushing slightly from the unwanted attention. "Whoa, what?" he tilted his head at the Pokemon, 'You gotta be kidding me, kidnapped, forced into something and no breakfast.' "Uh, well..Duh, yes. You can keep the, supplies if you want- I think you'd look good in the Dye I have in there, but if you think your keeping my friends captive, you've got anothing thing coming, bu-...Uh...Sir?" it was a failed attempt to be polite after remembering he was glued to a rock and at their elemental mercy. But, it was a good try. Tak yawned, but continued to slumber. Daemon, however, opened his eyes quickly, staring at the crowd with a 'Oh great' expression.

<Good.> The haunter said, ignoring the outbursts and glancing back to a figure in the dark. An alakazam stepped out. <Well?> The haunter asked. <You know I don't like being a part of this.> <You owe us.> <The charmander.> <Thank you.> The alakazam disappeared in a teleporting wave of physic power. The charmander disappeared off the tombstone. The pokemon around them started disappearing as well until all that was left was the haunter and all other captive pokemon. Quickly, all of Ardeo's other pokemon vanished away too, and the items as well. <Alright. Your task is simple. Well, not really, but it's easy to explain. Simply get out of here.> As he spoke, purple walls formed between the tombstones, vanishing in color but staying there to the touch. The three captive pokemon were let loose and fell forward, getting to their feet quickly. <I would suggest you look for your pokemon too, while you're out there. Take these ones with you for protection. Who knows what you'll find.> He disappeared. The growlith, wooper, and psyduck surrounded the trainer, shaking with terror. <At least you didn't leave your pokemon. My trainer did.> The growlith said, reassuringly, <We'll help you find them.>

"Whoa, wait, what? Charmander?" he looked between the two, an almost offended look on his face, "You leave Tak alone!" but they were, presumably, gone. "I hate Ghosts and their need to play silly puzzle games." he sighed, looking as angry as he felt. Taking a breath, in an attempt to calm down, he looked at the Pokemon before him, "...Your trainer...s...left you guys?..." 'Better keep that in mind. "Hurt the next human I see"' the Morph nodded, "Right, we'll get out of this. Tak, Daemon and that...Poor Eevee, " 'I'm sorry, little Eevee.' "We'll just, barrel forward and pray for results. Works most of the time." he said with a nod, "All with me? I'm Ardeo by the way."

The growlith nodded, <It's okay though. I didn't get to know him since I was his starter. We weren't together long.> The Wooper and Psyduck seemed to think differently towards their trainers, but neither of them said anything. <Neither of us have names anymore. Our trainer named us, but we don't want to remember them.> The growlith said, <Call us whatever. Pretty much, they've hidden all your items, pokeballs, and pokemon through the maze. I can probably smell it most of the time, but probably not all the time. I'll try my best. They'll come out randomly and battle with us, so that's why they gave you us. We're not very strong, but I'm sure we can manage until you find a pokemon or capture one of them. I forgot to mention, the trainers before you didn't always pick up all their items. There are probably double to triple more items out there than what you brought with you. And maybe pokemon, too. Just keep your eyes open and we'll be fine. We're ready.>

Ardeo looked up, grinning, "Ahahahaha! Yes! Poke'balls. Just what I need, let's go fellas! ...erm, ladies?" he looked back down at them, not wanting to offend his only chance of getting out of here, before he started forward, deciding rambling would make him feel better about his missing Pokemon, "You guys look pretty strong to me, I've never seen so many different Water-types until today..."

The pokemon all chuckled. <I'm a girl.> The Wooper stated. The psyduck didn't say anything. <We don't know what.. he.. she... it is.> The growlith stated, blinking at the strange pokemon, <It never talks.> The psyduck just stared at them with blank eyes, not really taking in much of what they were saying.

"Sorry, I'm not all that...Gender conscience. Anyway, is it true about Psyducks?" he asked, looking back at the three, "With the, uh, telekinetic....Stuff?" he asked, they had apparently all come from the same owner, unless, "How long were you all glued to those rocks?"

<Oh, we weren't glued here long. We were brought her from different places. They do this to trainers all over the place, and the "left over" pokemon were brought here.> The Wooper accepted that the Psyduck wasn't going to answer and said, <I think they can use psychic powers like that, but this one hasn't done so.>

Ardeo came to a dead stop, "All over?" he hadn't even thought about it, 'Where am I?...Bah, whatever.' he rolled his shouders, sorrowfully empty of both Tak and his back pack, and glared forward, "Well, gu-....Everyone, let's roll out. This maze is gettin'...Kinda creepy."

The party bounced after him, feeling much better that they could move now. The growlith took the lead, inhaling the air. <Watch out for the invisible walls in between the tombstones.> He said, <You wouldn't want to run into one with your face. I can't smell any pokemon yet, but keep your eyes peeled for items too. I know it's here... some- Here.> He reached forward and grabbed a sack. <This is for your items. They normally leave one close so you don't have to carry everything. It makes you slower and they would get bored.> The fire dog said, bag between his teeth. It was just a regular burlap bag. Nothing fancy about it.

"Oh, yes." the Fire Morph mumbled, "Wouldn't want them to get bored or anything. Stupid Hypnosis..." he gently took the bag from the Growlithe and slung it over his shoulder, santa-style, mumbling to himself. "Invisble walls, too. Goodie. Something to smack my head into. I look forward to this. Do I get to hurt whoever made this stupid game at the end?"

<I doubt it. He's probably watching us as it is. I wouldn't suggest it even if you got the chance since he's the one that teleports you back when you're done. Or when he's done with you.> Up ahead there's a three way fork, but the middle one's closed off by an invisible wall. On the other side of the invisible wall a pokeball sits.
