The Mankey against the tree was soon KOed when the Houndour leaped forward and blasted him with another Ember. He stumbled forward once the fire blew past him, looking like he was going to flee. Seconds later he was on the ground, still being effected by his Burned status. As for the other pre-evo, he was bashed backwards by the Tackle, shaking himself off quickly and sneering at the Vulpix. He glanced at his feet, detecting a large rock and hurling it at the pokemon's direction. Obviously, these fighting types were all into using outside objects instead of attacking.. Brutus fell back as his attack was blocked by the Scratch. He was quick to recover, however, and was readying his next attack when he fell forward. Both canines were over top of him, blowing one full blast of fire straight onto his back. He waved his stick behind him, managing to hit the Growlithe on the head. The fire-type let out a whimper and fell back, walking in a crazy backwards line before falling to the ground. The Houndour, watching her newfound friend get knocked out, was not ready for a fist to knock her off her feet and send her stumbling back off the Fighting type. Quickly, the Primeape got to his feet. His Burn was evident as he stumbled towards the small pile of KOed fire types provided for sacrifice. He picked up the Chimchar violently, placing it back down on a large flat rock, and raising his stick over his head. When he was ready to give a rather sever blow, he turned to face the trainer, keeping the stick at the ready. <I suggest you get out of here.> He said, chuckling, <You can take your Chimchar, and leave me with the other two fire types. Or, you can watch me kill him and leave with nothing. You choose.>
The Eevee was silent for this entire battle. Her head poked up over Ardeo's arms, watching intently with her ears perked to get all the detail. She seemed a lot more courageous when in the arms of a much bigger and more intimidating creature. When she heard the Primeape's request, she layed her ears back and looked up slowly at her trainer's expression. Surely, he wouldn't let any of these pokemon be murdered, would he?

Daemon blinked in surprise as the rock was hurled, and smacked him right in the head. "Piiix..." he teetered a moment on his paws before falling over - out cold. Kero let out a surprised growl as his plan worked, and the stick was blocked for a mere moment; allowing his allies to score a blow. But suddenly his claw was empty, and he was on the ground. Breathing heavy, and plum tuckered out. That hit was strong. He shuddered to think of what it could have done to him if he hadn't of been lucky enough to block it...
Ardeo sucked in breath. What a cheater! He carefully lowered himself to the ground, placing the Eevee very delicately over to the side. "Wait here." he whispered, and as he rose back up - there was a Blaziken in his place. Wrists were ignited, and a harsh look was in his golden eyes. ~I suggest you put the Chimchar down~ were his only words before he sprinted forward, flames encompassing his whole fist to become a Fire Punch.

The little Eevee quickly walked behind a large rock for some form of safety from what was about to ensue, getting there in time to watch her trainer change. She didn't know trainers could do that. Apperantly neither did the Primeape. He was caught so off guard he didn't even have time to raise his hands to cover his face which was hit squarely by the punch. He rocketted back and smashed against a rock behind him, head making a sickening smacking noise as he did so. Now it was his turn to be out cold. And that's exactly what he did.
Kero gained one level! Daemon gained one level! Wild growlithe gained two levels!
The Growlith seemed to awaken slightly after the victory was won. He didn't move from his laying down position. Or, more like he couldn't, but he did look around, feeling excitement building inside of him. He let out one sharp snarl to the Mankey who was standing there looking dazed. The fighting type rocketted out of view before anything could be done to him, leaving Brutus and his KOed coworker on the ground behind him. The Houndour sat, a smug expression on her face as she started licking her paws. The three small fire types seemed to be stirring. The Torchic was all the way up and looking around with a sort of exausted and pained expression, while the Magby only twitched once or twice. Still a sign of some sort of life. <That's a pretty neat trick.> was all that was said from any of the maze pokemon. This came from the Houndour as she continued to groom her fur.

Ardeo demorphed, clenching and unclenching his hand a few times. That Primeape had a hard face... "Thanks." he muttered, stalking quickly over Tiki and patting him, returning him to his Poke'ball. Another beam reclaimed Daemon, and one more zapped up a tired Kero. "You guys did great." he murmured to them, clipping them back to his belt. He turned to face the two canines, "You two were great, too. Thank you for the support." he smiled with great pride at the Growlithe, whom he recalled had said he wasn't all that great at battling not long ago. Then, with urgency, he turned to the two remaining Pokemon, walking to them and kneeling down. "Hey, you guys okay?" he stared hard at the Magby, "Okage?" while he studied the fire-type dinosaur, he made a motion with his hand towards the Eevee; she could come back out if she so wished. He figured it was reasonably safe at the moment.

The Eevee glanced around and then quickly bounded towards him, curling into his arms once again. The Houndour helped her canine friend up, but the fire type just shook his head. <I can walk there, but no fighting for me.> He said slowly, <We are going to go find your charmander now, right? And then get out of here?> He asked, glancing up at Ardeo. The Houndour nodded and added, <You should take the little fire types with you. The pokemon who guard your Charmander aren't very brave. They'll probably let you go with him without a struggle. They know you have all your pokemon with you, and some friends.>

Ardeo hugged the little fox to his chest, smiling. Satisfied that the Magby was his Magby, he pulled a Poke'ball out and returned the little fellow, happy to have his Team back. "Mm." he glanced at the Torchic. "I'll prolly have to catch you, right? I got some Luxary Balls in here..." he awkwardly dug in his back with one arm, pulling out the little white capsule. "Here we are!" he tossed it gently at his Torchic kin, "And then, we get Tak back." he said with a triumphant tone. It was about time.

The pokeball came at the pokemon, but bounced back inches from making contact. A fog of purple surrounded the Torchic before fading away just as quicly. All the pokemon watched, not sure of an explanation. The Growlithe seemed to be thinking it over, but didn't have an answer. The Houndour, however, nodded. <Pokemon that have always lived here, like Kero, can be captured. They were brought to the maze willingly. The ones that came with their trainers, and then left here, will be sent back to the place they were before being brought here. All of us will be sent back to where we were before this. I will be sent to the Dark Meadow.> <Oh..> The Growlith muttered, trying to think of where he was, then adding, <Then I'll go back to Lava Prarie.> The Chimchar and the Torchic both piped up with, <Landark! We were in the city.> The eevee, of course, remained quiet. She assumed the trainer knew she was there before he got sent here. All the pokemon remained quiet, all thinking the same thing before the Growltihe spoke up again. <What are we going to do there? My trainer will be gone...> More silence.
Finally the Houndour spoke up again, looking up at Ardeo. <I'm not worried. You'll find us again, right?> She asked, pawing at the ground a little excited, <When you go by there you'll look for us?>

Ardeo was silent a moment, eyes dark, before he looked them all in the eye with tears. "Of course! You guys wait for me, I'll come for you!" he clenched a fist from underneath the little fox Pokemon, sniffing slightly. How moving these Pokemon were! "We've been through a lot together, and... I know some Trainers treated you bad - but we'll have grand adventures, and... And... We'll beat the Gym Leaders, and the League, and everything. Together." he nodded firmly. "Let's go get back Tak!" hugging the Eevee tighter to himself, he walked forward. She should return to the same spot as he... And then he could let her back into the wild; where she belonged. 'I still feel guilty about her...' he mumbled in his head, 'It's my fault she's in this mess.'

All of the pokemon looked clearly relieved that he would soon be after them. As they turned to follow, two ghost pokemon appeared from beside the trainer. Escorts. The two Ghastly bobbed quietly from beside him, speeding up when there was a fork in the path and taking the right one. No one said anything, following behind Ardeo. There wasn't much to say to express how they felt.
As they got farther, the graves got smaller and smaller until it was easy to see over the tops of all the rows of them. A stage was up ahead with a clearly knocked out Charmander in the center. A Haunter and a Duskull exchanged some words before cackling together. One of the escorts rushed forward to point out the coming trainer to the Haunter who turned, frowning slightly, to face Ardeo. <I see. I see.> He said quietly as the trainer came closer, shooing the other ghost type off. He nodded at Ardeo as they became proper speaking distance, and spoke up. <So has your adventure here finally come to a close?> he said, a grin creeping onto his ghostly face and growing until it reached max height on his cheeks.

Ardeo stiffened as he approached the Haunter, attempting to look tough with a cute little Eevee clutched in his arms. "It has." 'And then hopefully there will be no more Ghost encounters like this. Arceus, I can't wait to get to a Pokemon Center and sleep for a million years...' he muttered in his head, a small voice reminding him he couldn't sleep for that long with his new missions added. He would find his new friends again. He tilted his head a little, expecting Tak to be returned and for everything to go back to... What was, "kinda" normal.

The Haunter just nodded, glancing back as two most ghost types seemed to emerge out of nowhere, escorting the charmander to Ardeo. The pokemon crumpled as soon as they parted away from him. Suddenly the trainer was surrounded by ghost pokemon. They seemed to say a couple strange things in unison before a sudden dizziness came onto the trainer in a wave. All the pokemon around him besides the ghost types slowly fell to the ground in a sudden sleep, just as Tak had, vanishing one by one back to where they had come from.
