An emerald green Pokemon was snuffling at the ground, the moon kreeping higher overhead as it bathed the world in cool, soft shapes of moonlight. His nose twitched as he caught the scent of something, and raised his head, large eyes blinking, reflecting the full disc of the moon. With a quick survey of the area, he put his nose to the ground again and began sniffing quicker, excitedly. He barked back something, and three figures stepped behind him.
"What is it, Chia?" the largest one said. The Cyndaquil barked again. ~Shelter! Rest!~ he explained quickly, before hurrying on into the shadows. The girl, Trapinch and Doduo ran to him. ~Not so fast!~ called the Doduo, before the other head nipped his brother playfully, muttering something. The Trapinch, however, with eyes wide in fear, was trembling as she walked in the dark, jumping every time someone cracked a twig.
A cabin swung into view, but it seemed to throb with energy and give of a vibe of forboding. Swinging the door open, Sulteron and her Pokemon walked nervously in. Checking her map, the Espeon 'morph knew this must be the abandoned cabin. Was what she could tell, it was mostly Ghost, Dark and Psychic types who lived here. Passing a door ripped off it's hinges, they came to a corridor lined with more doors. Testing one, she found it locked. With a shiver, Sulteron tested the next. It swung open easily. Closing it behind her, she looked around.
The room seemed cheery enough; clean, a squashy bed, Pokemon beds, a table and chairs and a TV. Flicking the light switch on, Sulteron found to her amazement the place had electricity. Flicking it off again, she put the Pokemon to bed, before climbing in herself. Soon even Alice was asleep.

A Spinarak lay annoyed underneath Sulteron’s bed, thoughts of malice growing like weeds in her mind. This was the first time, she had thought, that she would have undisturbed sleep, a room all to herself. That was what this cabin was for, wasn’t it? It was for people to stay the night, sheltered away from the nocturnal disturbances outside (she generalized people as living beings, both humans and pokemon, which is why she couldn’t catch the concept). Yet whenever she tried to “claim” a room, someone always came barging in, turn the lights on, make a horrible racket with over-enthuastic Pokemon, and stuffed up the whole room. All she asked for was one night, one night! One night of perfect, dream-filled sleep. Instead nightmares raged though her unprepared mind with each new arrival. The tiniest interruption from her sleep always seem to corrupt her dreams.
Well, it was time to take things over. This time, she’d rid of these heartless dream-squashers and ensure no one ever came back. Tip-toeing with silent footsteps, the Spinarak began to climb up the wall, through the crack from the bed, and sticking her bottom to the surface she flung herself across where Sulteron lay and landed on the ground as quietly as possible. Making sure no one was disrupted (in the meantime wishing she was sleeping like them as well), the spider continued her process and labored all night on spinning a web of disaster for the trainer. ----- Come morning time, the Spinarak was still passed out from last night’s labor and her proud work. Each inhabitant was now surrounded by tons of bearly visable string, ones that if touched would stick to their body. And in the early hours of the day, she thought with a snicker of laughter, they would never realized what happened. Those silly creatures; they’d never know what hit them.

As sunlight began to kreep through the windows, Sulteron opened one eye, her jewel sending flecks of red light across the room. She yawned and stretched as a cat might, before glancing over at her Pokemon. All lay untroubled, still asleep. Not wanting to wake them, she thought she might start to cook a nice, large warm breakfast for them. Slipping her feet onto the ground, she took a step forward...
... and could not take another. Her grunt of surprise woke Chia, who was a light sleeper; he felt it was very strange for his trainer to stand like that, struggling against some unknown force. Realising it was no game, but she was actually in trouble, the Cyndaquil walked forwards anxiously. He was caught too; in some strange, sticky substance. ~Cyn! Cyndiquil!~ He cried in desperate tones, waking the other Pokemon who found themselves trapped too.
Sulteron saw how the web- yes, it seemed to be something of the sort- grew floppy and weak where the flames on Chia's back touched it. Perhaps if he could burn through it, he would be able to get them free and they could have the intended breakfast... "Chia! Make your flame burn large and hot to burn the webs! Fire types are strong against Bug types!"
Chia considered using his TM move- Overheat, but descided against it, for it was a powerful attack likely to hurt his trainer and companions. Instead, he shut his eyes and focused on sending his energy to his back. His flame flared, reaching almost to the ceiling, burning hotter in their strange green glow. Alice, Abe and George watched in amazement as the webs entangling Chia fell to the ground. For good measure, he shot a small blaze of Overheat at the charred webs, reducing them to nothing so they could do no more harm. The Pokemon were reluctant to let him burn their prisons, so Sulteron demonstrated how he would not hurt them and they allowed it, wringing their wrists or wings as they broke free.
"Well, let's forget about the bad start. Who wants pancakes?!" Sulteron said brightly. After all, there was no point holding grudges or remembering the bad stuff that had happened. A murmer of excitement ran through the three Pokemon; none of them had ever had pancakes before, and all had heard about them. Soon a heavenly smell of gently cooking pancakes filled the room and wafted don the corridor. Sulteron let the Pokemon choose the toppings. Berries, vegetables, fruits. All wanted chocolate; another thing they had never tried.
Chia munched his way through his second. ~More!~ he squealed in delight. Sulteron laughed, dropping a sizzling pancake coated in sugary treats on his plate. "Hey, we have more than enough. In fact, I doubt even with you're apitite we'll use them all up!" she said, eyeing the large amount of pancake batter on the table.

<Umph...>
Suddenly, there was a muffled "thump" that sounded from underneath a nearby broken window in the kitchen. A soft groan follwed, and for a moment, everything was still.
Sulteron and her companions may or may not have heard it, but something wsa out there, though it was too small to be human, and not nearly as heavy. For a while, it seemed as if nothing was even there in the first place, as the woods outside were silent.
But then there was more- a scratching and scrambling from outside. This racket was sure to be heard by at least one of the four. If this had been a scary movie, and it had been night outside, it probably would have been quite frightening.
One black paw planted itself on the outer windowsill, and the other followed, gripping at the splintered wood. <Urrrrrgh...> the pokemon groaned, as it hoisted itself up. A small black-and-blue masked face rose up after. Red eyes peered at the cabin's inhabitants.
<O-oh!> THe riolu gasped, and almost lost his hold on the sill. <I-I'm sorry, I didn't know anybody was in here...> He said rather sheepishly. The blue pokemon hoisted himself further up the wall as to get a better look at them.

Sulteron smiled warmly. Riolu weren't very common a Pokemon, and one she rather liked as well. "It's all right. After all, this place is open to everybody. I was just getting breakfast for my friends, would you like a pancake? I have more than enough." she said, showing him the large amount of batter.
Chia studied the new arrival with interest, slowly chewing his food. He thought he remembered seeing a few of them at the lab... Rilu? Riolu? Something like that. From what he had heard, they were rare, part Fighting type, and evolved into something even rarer but well-loved. The Riolu seemed strange to him, but then again, his green skin wasn't exactly something you saw every day either. A quick glance at the other two told him they were thinking pretty much the same thing.

<Really? Ah... thanks!>
Suddenly, the riolu wasn't quite so shy. He studied the other pokemon a bit warily, but then leaped through the window.
<I thought I had smelled something good. Hm... pancake? I don't think I've ever heard of that before.> He gazed up at the kind girl with bright eyes. She was a lot less... excitable... than other humans he knew.
He gazed about the room, taking in the feel of the kitchen. It didn't look like much.
<Um...> He then said, as he waited for his breakfast. <So, are you a trainer too?> He inquired, half-nodding at the oddly-colored Cyndaquil.

The Spinarak grumbled angrily to herself as the human girl found out a way to break free from her tangled mess. That little pet.. Who knew it’d have flames in there? She had to admit, it was pretty cool seeing its attacks.. But that was far from the point. The spider sighed heavily (though quiet enough to go unnoticed) as she watched the now-lively bunch get together and make some strange things over in the kitchen area. She was angry because it just floated by their heads, barely indenting their moods. And now they were having a nice breakfast.. A really good smelling breakfast.. So warm and enchanting, the aroma almost made her come out and ask for one of these “pancakes”. After all, they didn’t seem so mean.. But then the Riolu came through. The Spinarak- who had just began to crawl out from under the bed- shot right back in the shadows and watched bitterly as more company came. This creature must be associated with the others. That means.. More guests.. More disturbances.. Did these human beings show any respect? The Spinarak turned so frustrated, she turned around and headed through a hole in the ground, little black and yellow feet stomping as she went. She’d get her sleep, oh would she.. Cioux has become happier!

Sulteron was curious. Too? Did that mean the Riolu was a trainer? She doubted it. "I'm a trainer. Chia, this Cyndaquil, was my first Pokemon. Alice wanted to go along so she could have adventures and get stronger, and she defeated Abe and George, whom I then caught. Abe and George are the Doduo, Alice is the Trapinch." she introduced each of her Pokemon as she put a warm pancake on his plate.
Chia smiled. ~And... and then Sulteron used this pretty green thing, I think it was a scale, and I changed color!~ he said excitedly. ~And now we travel to these gyms where we will get a badge which means humans have proof that you're strong, and when we get enough we go to the strongest trainers of all! Only, right now, we're new at this and aren't very strong. Are you strong?~ he asked. Abe nodded, interested. ~Yeah, have you ever battled?~

{Yay! ^^ He's slowly getting there...}
<Battled...?> He tilted his head in thought, when he thought he'd heard something. Little blue ears twitched as he turned his head in the direction of the noise. Not seeing anything, however, he got ack to Sulteron, Chia, Alice, and the brothers.
<Yeah, I've battled before,> He concluded, and added, in a monotone, <Though I'm not very good at it... Wait, scales? Gym Badges?>
He'd picked out those two words from the jumble that Chia had just announced, being rather familiar with them. <Scale... oh, right!> He put a paw up to his chin, and stared up at the ceiling. <I think Lana has one of those. But it's orange and black. She doesn't want to go to gyms, but Aarin does... um...> He rambled, bringing a jigsaw together in his mind. He had been trying to figure something out, he remembered, when he smelled the sweet smell of Sulteron's cooking, and came running... but what was it he was trying to remember?

The sound of water flowing through pipes echoed behind the wooden walls, like usual. But after it ended a strange shuffling noise travelled from the ceiling to the ground, almost sounding like rain. Once it seemed to reached the floor, it ended as fast as it had started, leaving a strangely quiet atmosphere in the cabin.

Chia smiled. Lana and Aarin sounded like they must be this Riolu's trainers. ~What's your trai-~ but he was cut off aat the strange sound. It couldn't be rain, it was a clear, sunny day. Than maybe...
~G-g-g-GHOST!~ cried Alice, darting under the table. Sulteron sighed. "Alice, there's no such thing as ghosts. It was probably just the drains or water pipes or a Pokemon." she said reassuringly, pulling the Trapinch out and putting her on her lap, for that was where she felt safest- on a larger creature.
"Speaking of Pokemon, I could with finding some. My Pokemon could do with some training, and it would be good to get an addition to our team. I suppose the Dark and Ghost types in here will be hiding, because it's daylight, but I'm sure I'll find something. Maybe a Riolu like you. Wait, where are your trainers, anyway?" Sulteron asked, hoping this little Pokemon hadn't run away. If he had, that would be terrible for his trainers and she would probably take him back to them.

<Ghost? Where?!>
Immeadiately he jumped into a nearby cabinet that had been open, just as Alice dove under the table. However, at Sulteron's comforting words to her trapinc, his nerves settled. The Riolu crawled out of his hiding space, hopinng nobody had seen him, but the Espeon morph had asked him about his trainers.
<Um... where are Lana and Aarin?>
The Riolu looked up at the ceiling again. Yeah, where are they... Suddenly, he seemed to remember, and lokoed back at Sulteron.
<That's right... we were walking through the forest when Carlyle, (Aarin's Absol,) and I smelt something good. Without warning, I suppose I rather dashed off... I'm guessing they're looking for me right now. Whoops.> If this had been an anime, it surely would have been a sweatdrop moment for the little Aura Pokemon.

There were no more noises as evident as the thunder of patting noises, although there seemed to be something stirring underneath the dark, omnious shadows of the single bed. It was almost.. gurgling noises..

Sulteron smiled. "Don't worry, we'll get you back to your trainer." she said. Her eyes flickered as they caught sight of some movement under the bed. There was definately something here, and she wasn't sure what. Perhaps it was whatever had sprayed the webs they had been caught in? Perhaps it was something else?
Chia being Chia, he giggled with excitement at the prospect of adventure and crawled toward the bed, placing his head to the ground in front of the shadow. He couldn't make it out, so pulled away in case it was angry. ~Hey there... whatever you are. Do you want a battle or something?~

The Riolu shied away from the bed, however- the last time he stuck his nose into a hole like that, he'd nearly got his muzzle ripped off by a sandshrew. Trying his best not to shiver, he jumped onto a nearby chair and sat down. listening intenly for the hidden creature. Or... could it have been the ghost from before?
