<Quack.> Tom sat with his legs crossed, the bubble blower moving in orbit around the Golduck. He stood up, dragging the picnic blanket with him. All the utentils and plates tumbled off, but he only seemed to want the cloth.
The Larvitar looked away from the Golduck as he stuffed the blanket in his bag, soaking in the story Elicia was telling. <Yeah.. I think I know who you're talking about, the blue thing's friends. A flying thing, and a creepy dude with a brown furry friend, right? The four were saving me from a bunch of cactuses.> The Larvitar frowned, trying to hide welling tears by wiping dirt off her face. <I think they had fun hurting me.>
The Bidoof snorted impatiently. <Humph! Kunn Ai jest cintinyah gowin ta Point Bay? Lookin fer loonybins wussant partuh mah scheduwal. Ahurr.>

Elicia dodged the tumbling plates and utensils as Tom cleaned up, saying, "That's them. Tom showed me how he found you. Um... sorry I kinda left you behind like that, with the mean cacnea... I thought maybe Panello and Vex would find something to do with you." She continued to watch Tom.
As the bidoof put his two cents in, however, she merely scoffed back. "A Lot of things happened today that I'll bet weren't in your schedual, sir. And I'm well aware most of it was my fault, apart from Tom's picnic. Anyway, I'm not forcing you to come. i'm sure Larvitar and I will haave a great time without you."
She smiled down at the larvitar invitingly, hoping she would get the message. Elicia had chosen after all to invite the little creature to join her team- she couldn't just leave the poor thing here. And, she did sheem nice enough, just a bit shy. Not only that- if they were to train enough, the larvitar could become a very valuable part of the team...
A team with a Tyranitar and a Garchomp. You couldn't beat that.

The Bidoof frowned sourly, and his eyes were narrowed, although it was unreadable under his fur. Foine thann. Yer apsolootely right, yer lollygaglin's bin throwin' meh off. Ya have a good time, ya an'.. snot creatchuh..> He stared at the Larvitar with a "yeah-I-said-that" look. He gave Elicia a final grumpy look before taking off the way he was originally going. <Point Bay is tha' wahy Am gowin,> the Bidoof said, trying to rub his stubborn attitude in her face. He trotted out of sight, never to return .. until tomorrow. Tammarra, Point Ay~
The Larvitar stared at him as he trotted off, confused by the Bidoof's attitude. What was up his butt? But what puzzled her more was the girl's last sentence. <Huh? But I'm not.. Going with you?> The Larvitar faltered in the middle of her sentence, her statement becoming more of a question for herself. What was she going to do instead? She had nobody that she could think of that she could possibly go to. The empty desert was the only one waiting for her to return. The only creatures that were close to her were those who didn't hurt her, and that was all the people she was hanging with right now.
The Larvitar sat hunching over and holding her legs while thinking it over. She looked at the girl shyly, managing to crack a smile. <Umm... Good time. Yeah.>

Elicia grinned.
At that thought, she took both his pokeball and a potion bottle out of her bag, spritzing it. The formula mysteriousl dissapeared as it reached the surface of the pokeball. "I'll just leave him in here to rest untill later. I'd better be carefull and not waste all my potions on the way to the next town..." She placed both items, the pokeball and empty spraybottle, back in her bag. "But I really am glad you're coming. Otherwise, I'll admit- I'd start feeling kind of guilty for leaving you with that Vex back there... though Panello wasn't all that bad."She turned her attention over to Tom. "So, if you're done packing up, you ready to get moving?"

Name; {TC} Gender; Female Personality; At first, this Larvitar will be timid and afraid, but her strength will grow as time goes by. She will stick to those that protect her like glue. Level; 4 Moveset; Bite | Leer Ability; Guts- Boosts attack by 50% if there is a status problem. Tom stood ready to depart, backpack zipped up and pulled tightly to the Golduck's back. He tilted his head and stared at Elicia with his emotionless eyes, and took a step forward back on the road. Walking over dejected plates and plastic baggies, Tom began to lead Elicia and her new pal on their way to their next adventure, their next step on their journey. Their progress seemed good until the blue duck halted, standing still and alert like a guard. Nothing appeared different in the area, though, the leaves rustling from the wind. Pidgeys twittered to each other and Pachirisus went with their businesses in the trees. It was peaceful and calm around the girl and the two Pokemon, but Tom wouldn't move an inch.

Elicia followed closely behind, wondering whether or not to pick up the plates. But, before she could bend down to grab one, it seemed Tom had already gotten far ahead, and she trotted off after him with the little larvitar at her heels.
She was still trying to keep up with him when he suddenly stopped, and she nearly crashed into his back. However, while coming to a halt, her pokemon did manage to bump rather painfully into the back of her legs. The armored pokemon fell back onto her bottom, looked up at Elicia, and then at Tom.
<Um...? Why're we stopping?> She remained sitting.
"I... honestly have no idea." The trainer replied, staring at the back of the Golduck's head. "You should ask him, but I doubt we'd get an answer."

Tom turned his head to a bush on the right side of them, waiting. All of sudden, the sounds of a leaf flute, trademark of the Nuzleaf, became clear through the afternoon air. A loud rustling came from the foliage until a gang of Nuzleaf popped out from it, running in a line as they worked to carry a shaggy Bidoof to the other side. The Golduck stared at them as they went.
They travelled through the bush without even awknowledging the trio. Tom quacked and looked down the path, finally beginning to walk again.

"Wait, but that's..."
Elicia stared off at the nuzleaf, and shook her head. Tom had already started walking, and getting mixed into a fight with a bunch of nuzleaf wouldn't be a good idea, with two fainted pokemon and one young one. Nah, it wasn't worth it. She walked on.
"I hope you really do have a good idea of where these friends of yours are, you know. Of course, if they were regular pokemon, it would be like finding a needle in a haystack... or three pokemon in... ur... a whole forest of them..." She said, though knowing very well Tom wasn't likely to reply. It's kinda awkward trying to help somebody out when they barely let you know if they're even listening or not. She was about to go further, when she remembered the Golduck's tendancy to blurt out other's thoughts.

< It's kinda awkward trying to help somebody out when they barely let you know if they're even listening or not.> The Golduck had to stop to say this, pausing for a minute after. It turned around and stared at Elicia, and for a second it almost looked like it would say something. It's gem blanked out shortly, but then it started flickering again. <Quack.> It spun around and continued it's journey.
At one point the bushes started rumbling again, and like last time Tom stopped to watch. There was a short silence, but then it started moving again, a little Pachirisu popping out. It chewed on a little nut happily.

Elicia couldn't help but slap her palm to her head, saying, "Of course." The larvitar simply looked worriedly up at her new trainer as they walked. But, when Tom stopped yet again, she swung her head around to watch him, and Elicia did the same. What they both saw was the happy pachirisu. Elicia nearly squealed in delight.
"A pachirisu~! Aw, so cuuute..." Suddenly the trainer grinned. Though perhaps not one of the largest or most impressive pokemon... a pachirisu was still a very valuable pokemon to have on the team, simply for it's popularity.
She stepped forward slowly, and larvitar followed her example.
<B-but! Wait... am I supposed to battle it?> The little pokemon suddenly whispered. A battle... she didn't know how to do that, she hadn't learned. (Then again, she had no idea whether or not it would come naturally, or if she'd be able to now she actually had a trainer.)
"Depends." Was the reply.

The squirrel looked a little stricken at the sight of the towering human, but it didn't move, just stood silently like a statue. It started chewing it's snack again, staring at all the Pokemon.
Suddenly a Sentret darted out and snatched it in it's mouth. It looked up at Elicia with red and blue eyes, hissed frantically and darted back into the forest. Tom quacked up a storm.

Elicia gaped for a moment, but quickly gained her senses. "O-oh! That's... that's the sentret! Run after it!" As if she needed to tell the rest. Without a second thought she dashed off into the forest in the direction that the odd-eyed sentret had run off to, seemingly unaware she was leaving the security of the forest path, and regardless of Tom's reaction.
After a glance up at Tom, the larvitar followed behind on stubby legs, shouting- <W-Wait! Wait for me! Don't leave me alone out here!>
For only an instant, the trainer stopped to return her pokemon to it's new pokeball, and a flash lit up the forest around it. In the next second, she was running again. "C'mon, Tom!"

Tom stood frozen for a second, not even watching as the Larvitar stumbled off awkwardly. Then, as if recovering from a daydream, the Golduck quacked and shook his body. Then it followed the trail the girl had headed down, moving at a leisurely pace like a walk in the park.
The Sentret was much ahead of Elicia at this point, his direction alrady lost in the maze of trees and bushes. The clanking of the metal bands around his tiny legs could be heard, but it wasn't pinpointable. At one point there was a large tree straight in her path, leaving the trainer to decide which way to head.

Elicia's ears twitched as she desperately tried to find the Sentret's location. Too bad Tom was being so slow... he could probably read the thing's mind to find out where it was, or something. Whatever. She'd have to find him by herself.
But it didn't help that her path was blocked. A humungous tree, thicker than n other she'd seen before, had a trunk that sprawled out in front of her. It seemed to fork her path. She mumbled under her breath in annoyance. Meanwhile the metal-like clashing was getting weaker...
Taking her chances, she went to the left. If only she knew her way around this forest, it would make things a lot easier. And she probably wouldn't be able to find her way back to the path after this.
Then again, chances were the hybrid didn't know where he was going either. Perhaps that was a bit of help, but not much. While he was pure pokemon, even when a hybrid, she was half-human. Less accustomed to the wild than we was, no doubt. She had to rely on pure luck. Hopefully fate was on her side today, but by the way things were going lately, it sure didn't look like it.

Elicia went down a path that was lined with thorn bushes, their spikey branches sticking out on the pathway she followed down. She finally came to a little clearing, blocked in by long, slender trees. It was a slope covered with various plants and roots to trip on.
Down at the bottom, a giant mossy boulder stood, forking the road once again.
