The Nuzleaf didn't take the Gible's recovery time for granted. It went in straight for the attack, bending over sharply and leaning forward in a big motion that sent his Razor Leaf attack flying with speed towards Ares. The little nut looked thrilled at Imamu's upper hand in the battle. It even began leaping and dancing like a cheerleader at a football game.
The Bidoof looked up as the Elicia leaned in to pick him up, feeling relieved that he was going to get farther away from the Nuzleaf. It didn't even come across him that the bigger creature could easily be a bigger offender than the Wily Pokemon. But sometime she said struck him with a sudden pang of anger. "I can't help but wonder if it's because you took my advice.." Since the breath was knocked out of him, the Bidoof couldn't say anything back, but by the way he was violently shaking, his anger seemed apparent.

The land shark had no time to defend himself- the nuzleaf was much faster then he was. Ares was struck hard, and he groaned in pain as the razor leaf attack hit home. The sharp edges slashed at his tough skin, which provided some protection. However, he did recieve a rather nasty cut right across his nose.
"Owch..." Hissed Elicia, "That one's gonna make a nasty scar. Ares! Get up, and Sand Attack!"
Her pokemon seemed stunned for a moment, but not long enough for Nuzleaf to launch another close-ranged attack. Instead, the Gible leaped up and kicked a cloud of dust at the larger pokemon, aimed for it's eyes.
Through all this, Elicia hadn't paid attention to the shaking Bidoof in her arms. She glanced down at him, and seemed to immidiatly guess what was wrong. "Okay, I get it- you're angry. And I'm sorry. But, listen- if I got you into this, I'll get you out, okay?" She whispered, hoping to calm him down.

Imamu imagined the Gible would get right back up and slammed into him. Being a very physical Pokemon, he couldn't expect any less. So he was taken by surprise by the sudden cloud of dirt that intercepted his line of vision. Some dust particles reached his delicate eyes, making him have to shut them from the stinging. Knowing a physical move was now less likely to hit, the Nuzleaf strengthened his defenses again. His Seedot friend still cheered him on, altough she seemed a little nervous and tense for her friend's safety. <Imamu, go! C'mon, c'mon..>
All of a sudden, the Bidoof seemed to regain his voice. It didn't acknowledge Elicia's sympathy- or her feelings, by the way he described her. <Yeh freakeh eared dingbat!> he spat. <You an' yer waddlin' pair a' teeth! Ya nearlee got meh killeduh, uh-huh uh-huh! Hurrrrrrrrrrrrr..> He seemed to be growling, in his own wierd way..

"Hey!" The trainer growled, her voice low again. "What is with you? I admitted I did something wrong, and even apologised for it! I'll have you know I'm quite ready to toss you back to those mean pokemon so Ares and I can get out of this unscathed..."
But even as she said that, Elicia knew herself that was something she wasn't about to do. Though the bidoof was rude, she knew that to run away from another battle wouldn't get her anywhere. She tried to ignore the anger seething in her, (though sparks had began to leap of her skin a bit,) and concentrated on the battle.
"Good job, Ares! Tacklke it again!" Neither trainer nor pokemon seemed to notice the Nuzleaf's upped defences, and it was only when Ares launched himself at the pokemon did he realise what "Imamu" had done. It should have been a very good hit, being so close-range, but it seemed it did less damae then it should have.

The Bidoof merely grunted at her words, a bit frightened to talk back at her as well. He could feel the energy that ran through her veins, the strange tinkle that was becoming increasingly stronger as she turned more irritable. Besides, she was helping him anyway.
Imamu emitted a sudden breath of air as Ares launched himself upon him. He expected it again, like he had before the Sand Attack, and this time he predicted right. He felt the pressure of the shark on him, but he ignored it and pushed him away with all his might. The Nuzleaf saw the scar on his nose. The Gible was weakening. Only a few more swipes and he’d be done.. The Pokemon began swinging his head, getting to the point when the leaf twirled repeatedly without him having to do much, and he gave a powerful sweep to send it off towards Ares.

"Ares! Brace yourself!" The trainer yelled, clearly feeling the pressure of the battle now. Her grip on the bidoof tightened. She'd realised this attack was increrdibly close-ranged, it would take a miracle for her pokemon to summon the burst of energy needed to dodge it quickly enough.
Hearing his trainer's call, Ares looked up to see the nuzleaf prepare another attack. The gible dove to the ground, so that he wouldn't get hit head-on once more, his scaley back being his best protection. But it wouldn't be enough to protect him completely.
He yelped once the razors slashed painfully across his skin.<Elicia, I don't think I can take much more of this...> He called back to his trainer, slowly getting back onto his feet. His voice was hoarse, and the pokemon was clearly fatuiged.

The Bidoof watched- cringing- as the Gible took a up close blow from the Nuzleaf. He pitied him even more when he felt Elicia's grip on him tighten. <Owwch, tha' smartzuh..> He remembered the pain of his Razor Leaf attack.
Imamu's mind was completely drenched with determination. His blood was pumping, his energy was flowing, it felt like nothing could stop the savage Grass type from bringing Ares to his knees. As he scrunched his hand into a fist, ready to Pound the Gible into oblivion, it seemed like nothing could stop him in his path. That was before he heard a shriek from behind him. The Nuzleaf stumbled in reply, recognizing the voice. <Oni?> he called as he turned around to face his Seedot friend. What he saw what beyond what he could've possibly imagined.
The Seedot, called Oni by Imamu, was still there, not a scratch on her. But that was far from what was baffling- she was floating. She was suspended in midair, her eyes wide and terrifying as she hung upside down. A mysterious pink glow surrounded her as she floated there. <I-Imamu?> she said, shaking as she did so. The Nuzleaf stood there baffled, caught completely off guard by his floating friend. He couldn't even think to go save her, the sight was so bizarre.

Both trainer and pokemon stood, (At least, one was standing, the other knelt on the ground, still struggling to get up,) Mouths agape in awe. Elicia was the first to recognise the pink glow, and reacted quickly.
"I think it's a psychic pokemon!" She exclaimed. "Does anybody know of any psychic types in this forest?" She asked the three native pokemon, (though she didn't exactly expect the seedot to respond, as she was still hanging in midair.
Meanwhile, Ares had gotten up, but he didn't jump right back into battle. Instead, he brushed off the dust that clung to his scales, and limped up to the Seedot, studying her.
<Interesting...> he wheezed. She's being attacked without an attacker in sight...> Of course, the dragon made no move to help the poor grass type down, or help in any way. He simply watched as she dangled helplessly.

Imamu was still staring at Oni, but once the Gible was standing up near him, he remembered the fight he had just been in. Ready to throw another punch, the Nuzleaf raised his fist- but suddenly became too off balanced to swing it properly. In fact, he had started to rise in the air as well and was surrounded by the pink glow like his Seedot friend. Imamu looked too frightened to speak. A pink light started to surround Ares and Elicia, causing them to have the same effect that the Grass types were suffering from. <Blubbering cactuses!> cried out the Bidoof as he began to be tugged out of the trainer’s hands by an invisable force. Elicia gasped, shreiked, and began to fight against the pink glow, whatever it was. Sadly, her struggles hardly seemed to work. Horrified, she called out, "A-Ares?" she hardly seemed to notice as the Bidoof was pulled against her grip, and her arms fell in to the aura's whim as she let go of the poor mouse pokemon. Today must not have been a good day for him.
Her own pokemon was much to tired to freak out. Instead he seemed exhasperated, pulling weakly against the attack. Both were very sure now it must have been a psychic type. As both were lifted over the ground, Ares eventually gave up altoghether, and he hovered silently, eyes half-closed in exhaustion.
Elicia still had plenty of spark left in her, however, and she continued to struggle helplessly, all the while calling out- "Let us go! What did we ever do to upset you?"

Quack. All of a sudden, everyone dropped to the ground. The glow faded, and the invisible threat was replaced by a visable one. Although, it didn’t seem very hostile.
From the direction of the desert, a Golduck was walking very blankly down the road towards Elicia and Ares. Its gait was strange and it stayed low to the ground; its eyes seemed wide and unfocused. In fact, it looked pretty stupid as it let out a quack withevery step. On its back it wore a light green backpack; its webbed hands were tightly wrapped around the straps. It was labeled “Tom”.
The Golduck stopped in front of Elicia. <Quack.>

The girl felt the psychic attack give way. She landed on her feet, but having been tossed about in the air so much, her balance had gone whacky and she fell back on her bottom.
Getting back up, she glanced over at Ares, who seemed perfectly content to stay where he was sitting on the ground. She grimmaced, the poor guy must have been really tired. She rummaged around in her sack untill she found his pokeball, and withdrew him. Out of the corner of her eye she saw somebody coming there way, and she turned to meet them face-to-face.
Well, she'd thought it was a human, but aparently not. It was a pokemon, but one she hadn't met before. The duck-like creature appeared very... silly. If the situation had been different, Elicia migth not have been able to help but giggle. She stood up streighter.
Once the pokemon had reached her and the other pokemon behind her, it simply quacked. what was wrong with it? Did it want something? The girl stared at it for a moment longer. When she finally responded, she didn't know what to say.
"Um... are you lost? Or do you have a trainer?" She asked, glancing at the pack strapped on it's back.

The wild grass types watched in fear as the Physic type showed itself. Imamu tried to swallow its frightened attitude and glare evilly at the Golduck, but.. It didn’t look at him. In fact, it’s small beady eyes didn’t seem to look at anything. Much too frightened of the strange magical power and the foreign creature, the Nuzleaf dashed off, frightened out of his pants. It left behind poor Oni, who had fainted from being overwhelmed.
The Golduck did not move or say anything as Elicia questioned him. Instead, it waited a bit before quacking again and waddled forward to do its business. The Bidoof stared bewilderly, mouth wide open at what the Golduck did next. It had put its backpack down, fumbling with the zipper but not showing irritation on its face at all. It threw some random papers to the side until it finally found a checkered tablecloth. It gently unfolded it and let it float in the air (with telekinesis), lowering it so that it was a perfect square on the ground. Then it got some plates and silverware out and fit four spots, utensils perfectly aligned with the dishes. It took out little plastic bags with treats on them, placed them on the plates, and sat down in one seat.
It waited.

Elicia stood still, completely baffled. But, when she finally regained her senses, it still felt as if this was some kind of dream. It seemed almost like a scene out of Alice in wonderland- having a picnic with a mute duck.
Nonetheless, there was no point in being rude. She stepped forward, and hesitantly sat in the sopt across from the golduck. She had no idea who the other two spots were for- unless it expected the Bidoof and Oni to sit as well? (Though the latter was out cold.)
This gave her an idea. Still facing the duck pokemon, she slowly took of her pack, placing it behind her, but not without retreiving one of her five pokeballs first. While still staring at the strange pokemon, she rolled it over to the fainted seedot. Hopefully Golduk wouldn't notice, or simply wouldn't care. It was pretty unresponsive so far. (Ares did say I'd need some more team members.. I wonder where that other one ran off to? It would have been pretty usefull...) The trainer snapped back to attention, cleared her throat, and spoke again. "Er, thanks for lunch, I suppose." She glanced down at the baggie on her plate. The food looked fine, at least. But she wasn't sure if she should let her dining companion eat first.

Ares gains a level! (I forgot)The Pokeball knocked on the side of the Seedot, sucking the pokemon in without effort. It shook three times and captured the unconscious acorn. Name; Oni Level; 6 Species; Seedot Gender; Female Personality; Oni is a good sport, but for the wrong things. She’s known to get into trouble, but otherwise she’s a bit timid and just doesn’t know how to get the right attention. Ability; Chlorophyll Right after Elicia caught Oni, though, the Golduck seemed to react. It moved its head rapidly, looked at the Pokemorph in a strange way- and spoke. <Ares did say I'd need some more team members.. I wonder where that other one ran off to? It would have been pretty useful..> It mimicked Elicia’s voice like a tape recorder. After it was done, the emotion left the Golduck’s eyes, and finished the unfinished thought with a more-in-character quack. It looked down at lunch and took out the PB&J sandwich to eat. The Bidoof used to be staring down at the baggy, wondering how to open it, when the Golduck started speaking unnaturally. It noticed that the gem on its forehead flickered a red light like a light bulb not screwed in all the way. <Am naw eatin’ stuff frum tha’ freakanatchur.>The Bidoof realized he shouldn’t have said that, because suddenly he started to float up into the air. The Bidoof squealed and cried, <Akay! Akay! Amma eat ut!> The Golduck lowered him down without looking and the shaggy beaver took a breath of air before gnawing on the plastic.
