Elicia nearly shreiked. It read her mind? Not only could it lift her in the air without even laying a hand, (or flipper, foot, whatever it was,) on her, but it could read minds. It was a pretty good mimic.
But, the trainer was feeling quite a bit more nervous than before. There was no telling what this pokemon was thinking, other than the fact that it wanted a picnic.
And, aparently, it intended Elicia and the Bidoof to stick around. She winced once the rodent was yet again lifted off the ground. Thankfully, it didn't seem to do much harm. Since both the pokemon had begun eating, she opened the baggie, sniffing at the sandwitch inside warily before taking it out and nibbling on it. She didn't bother opening the bag for the bidoof. She'd probably end up getting nipped at- he might still be mad.

The Golduck almost finished its meal when it realized something with a quack. It had forgotten the fourth member of the meal! It stood back up and waddled to the backpack, taking out the heaviest thing in it.
It laid an unconscious Larvitar in the empty spot. The Golduck sat back down, whispering <Mommy.. Daddy..> in a weird, feminine voice. The little creature had looked peaceful a minute ago, but now it looked like it was in a nightmare.

(Geh! short post, sorry.)
The girl blinked a few times, surprised. "That pokemon... I know you..."
She leaned over to the larvitar, placing her sandwitch back on it's plate. The Golduck's mind reading further prooved her theory. She gently tapped the larvitar's small, rocky-skinned shoulder. "C'mon, hon. Wake up." Suddenly the trainer seemed a lot more tender.
She glanced at the Golduck, knowing it could read her mind. So, where'd you find her, then? Out on the road? She guessed. Though she pretty much knew already.

Like before, the Golduck spewed forth the very same words Elicia was thinking. The blue duck did not reply, like usual, and went back to finishing his food. Not a single quack out of it. It looked too busy staring at the green creature it carried.
After being jostled a few times, the Larvitar began to stir. Slowly her crimson red eyes open, her blurred mind trying hard to compute her surrounds. She saw trees... That was weird.. She felt grass... Not sand at all.. And she could feel and see Elicia. She freaked out. Now the Larvitar's eyes were wide open, and her body was shaking in fear of what the humans might do to her now. <Don't... Hurt... Me..> she whimpered, closing her eyes as tears ran down her cheeks. "Of course you'd be no help," Elicia huffed at the Golduck. She couldn't help but wonder if he'd also ran into that other trainer and his ghostly friend. Or had they moved on already? The luxray trainer had rather left them behind in the desert. She again spoke to the shaky little larvitar on the picnic blanket.
"Hey, listen. I'm not gonna hurt you, you just need to calm down, okay?" Elicia said softly. This poor pokemon couldn't handle being alone, could she? She was desperately in need of a mother.
Elicia blinked at this thought. Taking in the larvitar was a possibility, but, Elicia didn't really think she could handle it. Sure, she may consider herself the larvitar's trainer, but would the pokemon grow to think of her as a mother? At least, keeping this pokemon around would be pretty troublesome. At least, it would think of her as more than just a trainer, if she ever accepted Elicia at all. Something told the morph she could become very clingy.

The little creature's breath seemed to slow down from hyperventilating, and she stared at Elicia with solemn eyes. "Why not," it asked, still upset. "Why would you not hurt me like before." She sniffed and blinked away tears. A shadow fell on her, and distracted from Elicia, she looked up.
The Goldiuk was standing above her, holding the sandwich from her plate. <Quack,> he said as he dropped it on the Larvitar's head purposefully. It didn't really help though. <Hey!> the Larvitar cried, covering her face with her tiny claws. She whined, ignoring the Golduck's request completely.
The duck didn't seem bothered, but it did talk again. <Wunn tha' coocoo billfayce ain't lookin', Am gunna dash fur et..> The Bidoof flinched and quickly looked down at its food.

Elicia sat back at her spot, took another bite out of her sandwitch, and chewed slowly. She wanted to avoid having a sandwitch thrown at her face, too. After she swallowed, she said quietly, "If I were to purpousfully hurt you, I would've done so as soon as you woke up. The first time wasn't on purpouse- you can thank Vex and yourself for my dropping you. Anyway, unless you want the "coocoo billface" to force-feed you, (Because I'm sure he's more than willing,) I suggest you might wanna start eating. I'm sure you're hungry anyway." She took another bite of her lunch. Suddenly it seemed as if Elicia had turned from sympathatic, motherly young lady to a rather rude teenager again.
Legs crossed on the blanket and plate on her lap to catch the crumbs, Elicia finally finished her food. She glanced at the others, took the plate off her lap and got up onto her knees, now kneeling.
"Well, again, thanks for lunch. I'd pay for it or something, but I'm not sure you'd need money anyway." She grabbed for her bag, and glanced at the others once more, namely the frightened larvitar. How scary it must be for her... to pass out scared out of your wits, and to wake up with two strange pokemon and a human. And then having a P.B. and J dropped on your head...
Elicia stayed, kneeling, onnce again frozen in her own thoughts. Her bag's strap was halfway up to her shoulder.

The Larvitar sat up quietly, holding the little baggy. She thought over what Elicia, responding with an <Oh.>. She Stared back at the departing Elicia for a second, but then she decided she was a but hungry. She gnawed at the bag, punctured a hole and ripped the sandwich out. She stared at the food, not looking too delighted. But she ripped out a piece of ground, laid a huge chunk of dirt on the bread and shoved the whole thing in her mouth.
<Hurr? Wuzzis? ..Billfayce?> The Bidoof was staring down at one of the papers the Golduck had threw out of its backpack not long ago. Actually, the beaver hadn't meant to look at them, as he was slowly making his getaway, but the page with the picture of a zoned out Golduck caught his attention. It looked exactly like the one in real life. He couldn't read the notes underneath, but he did look at the three other papers with differnt picture on each. One had a Machop, one a Sentret, and another a Mothim.
There was 3rd grade math homework in that pile of papers too, but that didn't matter at all.

Eliccia's head snapped up as soon as the bidoof spoke, blinking a few times to clear her head. She glanced up at him.
Her eyes immidiatly jumped to the colorfull pictures, and she stood up straight, stepping around the picnic blanket to where the pile of papers lay on the ground. Some of them, as said, did look a lot like schoolwork, or something. She ignored those. Instead, she picked up the picture Bidoof had been staring at, glancing over the notes underneath. The picture above was an exact replica of their picnic-happy friend.
"What's this, then?" She asked, curious, watching the Golduck quizically. The luxray trainer bent down, picking up the other three papers.

The picture of the Golduck showed him sitting in a grey room, gripping his backpack straps and staring mindlessly at the camera. Above the photo was the name Tom and below it was a diary-like description of the Golduck.
Tom is one of our interesting subjects. We raised him from a Psyduck to a Golduck, and his development was perfectly normal. We noted on how a Golduck will change it's focus from it's mind to the water after evolving, and we decided to alter with this behavior. We altered with Tom, strengthening his physic abilities in his mind
The operation had worked, although Tom's behavior changed more radically than we imagined. His powers were stronger and easier for him to use consectively, but he lost control of carrying out simple actions and even seemed to have no idea of what he was doing. His behavior was unreadable, even to our scientists who could understand Pokemon speech.
His unreadable behavior became dangerous sometimes, as in one instance he stole one of our scientists's son's backpack. The boy had had Tom written on it, and we couldn't seem to pry the pack from the Golduck, so we named him Tom. That was harmless at first, but he soon grew to become unpredictable and a bit threathening.
Otherwise, Tom is a sucessful subject. Also notable about him is his strange curiosity of social human events.
Tom will soon be deported to Sandwind City's lab for further testing.
Tom sat on the picnic blanket with a bubble blower, unsure of what to do with it.
((The other pokemon bios will be posted later; too much to write on a phone. x-x))

(Alright)
The trainer read the paper over, re-read it, and did so again to make sure she was absolutly certain what was going on.
"Well, this is... unexpected..." She whispered to herself. A test subject? so that's what he was? At least, he hadn't changed since this paper was written... the scientists would be happy to know their insane Golduck had not become any worse. Well, Elicia hoped not. Perhaps he was hiding something from her. No matter.
Anyway, accordding to the paper, he was supposed to be in Sandwind City. There was no way of telling when it had been written, so the trainer could only guess so. But why was he here? Had he gotten lost? She looked up from the papers to watch Tom, who was holding a bubble blower, staring at it blankly.
"Okay then... hey, Tom." She said, as she went and sat back on her corner of the picnic blanket.
"You know you're supposed to be in Sandwind, right? What if we took you there?" Glancing at the other three papers in her hand, she realised these three must have been experiments, too. The luxray girl wondered if they'd all be in Sandwind...

The next file had a picture of the yellow and orange bug, looking quite depressed as she stared at the camera. Above it was the name Rawnie. Just like the Golduck's, there was writing underneath.
Rawnie is a curious project of ours. We obtained her from a generous trainer, while she was still male. Rawnie was in perfect condition, she was healthy and happy when we first obtained her. We noted on how Burmies evolved in Mothims only if they were male. We decided to see what would happen if we changed her gender. Would she change into a Wormadam?
The operation was a sucess. Rawnie is now female, even though she is still a Mothim. However, she shows signs of deep depression. She shows much less interest in honey, a beloved treat of a Mothim. Some scientists have even started to report signs of anger and rebellion. It is time to move on onto a new, more cooperative subject. She will be sent off to Sandwind shortly.
The next was the Machop, his skin a sickly pale color, making him look like walking death. Tired bags were under his droopy eyes. He had no name.
This Machop is one of our less-than-perfect sucesses, a simple expirement that results have shown we need not to repeat it again.
This Machop was sent through many endurance tests and battles. We noted on how much strength Machop put into his moves, however he became tired easily. So we decided to find out a way to keep him fighting without being slowed down by pain and fatique.
We operated on his skin, making it "dead" so that pain wouldn't register. It was a sucess, as the Machop could easily win a fight without seeming tired. However, he could not tell when he was about to faint. He still was vunerable, he just couldn't feel it. He also lost control of facial expression and shed skin sometimes.
Sandwind City's lab has taken interest in him. He will be sent out shortly.
The last page was the Sentret, although the picture of him was quite strange. The terrified looking creature had metal plating like a Houndour on it, and it's open mouth had large pointy canines in it. It looked at the camera with one glittering blue eye, one menacing red eye.
This Sentret was caught I'm the wild, and it reacted Luke most of it'd kind do- it was terrified and was hard to control. We noted on how all Sentret had a genetic attribute of fear, so we decided to see if we could change that. We morphed his DNA with that of a Houbdour's; we thought that the attitude of a rougher Pokemon would cause the Sentret to become less afraid. We gave it Houndour-like features to help it feel more menacing like a canine.
The operation worked, but with mixed results. The Sentret still had the fear gene, but it had moments where it would lash out and bark like a Houndour, even breathe fire sometimes. It's personality had split in half, diagnosed with schziophrenia.
He and our Machop expiremenr seem to be close. He will be sent off to Sandwind with him.
The Golduck seemed to understand Elicia's words, as it suddenly leapt up and wailed, <Quaaaaaaack> to the skies. It sat back on the blanket and clenched his straps harder, rocking back and forth. His gem flickered like a strobe light on his head.
((If Howl was still here... This plot would a little more sense.. 'Cause that's were all the other expirements are. Ssh I can't believe I started this plot because I had forgotten that Mothims are always males xD

(Rawnie! Nyeh, I remember her.)
Elicia, shocked at the Golduck's reaction, didn't seem to register what had happened right away. She watched Tom as he sat on the ground and began rocking back and forth.
"You mean... you don't want to go to Sandwind?" She asked, knowing she wouldn't get an answer. Instead she looked back down at the other three pokemon's profiles. A female mothim... I didn't think that was possible. Then there's the half-dead machop and angry sentret... what's with these pokemon? Are they all in the Sandwind lab right now? She crossed her legs again, watching the Golduck once more. This one obviously doesn't want anything to do with that place. She noted. Suddenly, a thought flashed bright in her mind. No wonder the Golduck was all the way here, at route one. "Let me guess. You ran away, didn't you?"

Tom began shaking a bit, barely holding on to his backpack straps. The convulsions lasted a good few seconds, and when he finally stopped, he sat perfectly still. His gem stopped flickering and shone brightly against his smooth blue skin. Suddenly images appeared in Elicia's head.
The first few were in a dark laboratory, lights flickering randomly in the darkness. All kinds of creatures could be seen in the background, some alive and some dead. Rawnie, the Machop and the Sentret were all being carried to a truck in one scene, the next one they were all escaping from a glowing, overturned vehicle. Tjen they could be seen crossing the desert, close behind a girl and a boy traveling with an Absol and a Riolu. There were clips of Rawnie trying to get close to them, but suddenly it flickered to a battle between a young gang of Cacnea. They dropped the Larvitar they were playing with and flung themselves onto the fleeing Pokemon. The Machop sent punches flying left and right while the morphed Sentret burned a good few of them with it's breath.
One of the last scenes was the Golduck's arms stretching out to the Larvitar (the images were from his point of view), and suddenly he began to float away from the ground, farther and farther up as the Mothim cried, <Tom, come baaaaaack!> The last image was him landing in the foresty grounds of Route 1.
The images stopped. The Golduck quacked a bit urgently, a bit ruffled from the expirence. The Bidoof and the Larvitar had been watching the whole charade quizingly. They had no idea what was going on.

When the show was over, Elicia sat still on the blanket. she nodded once to the Golduck.
"Okay... I think I get it now..." She said, trying to forget those first immages of the poor pokemon in their cages, and the ones fallen over in a sad heap. She sighed. "Taking you to sandwind is definitely not an option, but..." Her sentance stopped short, as she saw out of the corner of her eye, the Bidoof and Larvitar watching them curiously.
"Whoops, sorry... we kind of left you behind..." She said. "Here's the extent of it- those four pictures you found are of Tom, (that's our friend's name, here,) and his three friends. All of them were test subjects, for somebody's whacky experiments. They were supposed to be sent to Sandwind, as I said, but they all escaped." The trainer explained, though she knew her explaination wasn't as thorough as it shouold have been.
"Anyway, I think what we should really be doing now is looking for your friends. Do you have any idea where they could be?" She asked Tom. He seemed to be less empty-headed now.
