Kallan took a deep breath. Well, here goes. “I think you’re diving in farther than you want to know, but.. No physical harm done, heh? Hah.” His laughing was a little more awkward than usual, less maniacal and more.. humane, to put it. Looking at the ceiling, he thought out loud, omitting some things. “Okay.. So born around.. Alright. So technically I’m sixteen. I lived on Earth for sixteen years. But…” A pause, and Kallan made a weird face. “Okay, the truth is I don’t know how long I’ve been sitting around for. So, that leads me to the second question…”
“How long has it been since 1832?”

Imogene looked more and more confused as Kallan sorted out his thoughts. So he's lived for 16 years, but he was... sitting around? What? His second question left her baffled. Without having any real response, she took a moment to figure it out. 2010... 1910, there's 100 years, and then minus the 10, so 110, and then sixty eight years... "One hundred and seventy-eight," she responded blankly, staring at him in complete shock. "You don't look a day over seventeen," she added matter-of-factly, without even thinking. Humour was almost a reassurance to her, at this point. Still, there was one question left in her mind. He didn't have to answer it, but she had to ask it. This made no sense. He was a pokemorph. A... ghost... pokemorph? "...How?"

((Haha, Karasu xD This must seem pretty weird for everybody else.))
"Oh my god," Kallan couldn't help saying, so flabbergasted he latched off Imogene to mull over what he had just learned himself. He was so stunned he thought out loud. "I mean, knew I was dead for a long, long time but.. 178.. Just hearing that.. That's about two lives right there. Wow." He rubbed his face, extremely empty and frustrated. How was he going to explain this?
"To put it lightly.." he started, but ended up laughing before he could continue. He shook he head with a wary grin and stared as his feet. "Imogene, there's no way to put it lightly. Pretty much, I keeled over, they buried me and a few days later.. Pop goes the weasel! I'm suddenly a Haunter, staring at my own grave. " He put it rather jokingly, but there was a hint of sadness in his voice. And he sounded just as confused as Imo a minute ago.
"I don't know why it happened... To Vincent as well.." Looking up, Kallan bore his eyes coldly into Imogene. "..And why, of all people, I'm telling you.." But Kallan's tough act faded quickly, closing his eyes and letting out a sigh. "But." The boy clasped his hands together with a clap, wrapping up what he had to say. "I can tell you that's the truth. 179 years ago, I could have told you I was a perfectly normal human. Wish it were as easy as that.." Kallan slid his hands into his pocket and suffocated himself with silence. There wasn't much else to say.

Imogene took a step back as he moved away, watching him, still shocked herself. When he explained, however, she found it somewhere in herself to understand. Still, that was bizarre, becoming a ghost pokemorph, just like that. Vincent, too. As she listened, she noticed for the first time how quickly his emotions changed. His eyes, one second cold and uncaring, would suddenly change to be vry... sincere and honest. What a confused person... "Well... that's- that's just, um..." she paused, looking upwards and sighing as she tried to figure out what words to use. "I'm not sure what that is, but... it's not like you had any control over it, by the sounds of it." she said, smiling at him. She believed him, too. Because even though he was a haunter pokemorph, he seemed to be... well, a lot more than that. Some of the things he could do were just plain crazy. When the silence took over though, and Imogene scratched her arm, she started thinking about another topic. Her gaze found it's way to the floor, as well. This was awkward now. It hadn't quite hit her yet, who she'd just met. "You've still got eight questions left for me," she finally said, looking back up at him.

Connor grew a fair bit nervous when he found out he'd been paired with 'Hinako'. OK... he'd been paired? Oh, great. Talking to girls he liked was always difficult for him, and this one had been matched using some complicated Psychic-type thingymajig. Well, there was only one thing for it... he advanced on the blue-haired girl. He smiled nervously. She was a lot shorter than he was... she was quite pretty, and although he'd been told sometimes that he was good looking, he was a freaky albino... were they sure he was matched with her? "Oh, hey. I'm... Connor. W-we've been paired up... yep." he stammered nervously. He could have kicked himself.
Sulteron was having better luck. Again, the male was taller than the female, but she didn't care so much. She was average height, after all. Ardeo was quite cute, and seemed cheery- and a Pokémorph. She felt he was someone she could really get along well with. "Hey! Nice headband!" she grinned.

"Okay Luke, let's go up then!" Ciara excitedly (yet randomly) blurted out. She was somehow expecting nothing, even though she knew what was happening after reading the letter 7 billion times. She didn't want to be shallow and just there for free pokemon, yet some people (in her opinion) did. She was actually interested in the matching up for several reasons.

Hinako scratched the back of her head, laughing nervously as well. Coming here might have been a mistake on her part. Perhaps she shouldn't have tried it. She smiled, awkwardly, and then turned her head away. Please tell me this is a joke!
On one hand, she was socially awkward as could be. On the other hand, she was also interested in attempting to challenge the gym after the party was over. "So... um... what are we supposed to do again?"
Yep. She was socially awkward. As well as antisocial. She remembered why she'd rather spend time with her Houndour than with people, and she shrugged for no apparent reason. At least, that's what it would look like to others.

Kallan’s feet had became very interesting at this point, and as his eyes trailed up, he remembered his color of choice for his tuxedo and remembered what Vincent had said just before he had joined his partner in dancing, his stomach lurching as he realized the unexpected truth of the sentence. “Don’t let the color white get to you!” <Damnit,> he said out loud, squinting his eyes frustratingly. He looked up in time to hear Imogene reminding him of his remaining eight questions.
Preferably, Kallan would’ve rather taken a seat and contemplate this huge blunder on his pact of secrecy to himself, It was too late now, though. He had agreed to the deal, now he had to follow through. With an irritable sigh, he mulled over any questions he could ask (there wasn’t much he wanted to know. He thought it was much more interesting when he was the mystery) and came up with the best he could. “So.. What’s your favorite bird? Are you religious? Uh.. Do you have friends? Seriously, I want to know. You’re just walking around this island like nothing concerns you. Why the heck does Vincent like you so much? How are you this bug thing?” Because I went into how I’m a Haunter much more bloody descriptive than I ever planned, he thought scathingly to himself. “And..”
“What’s it like hanging around a dead man?” Kallan’s impish behavior was slowly recovering, delighted as he waited to see Imogene’s reaction and answer. Now that, well, she knew this reality, maybe he could use it to get some satisfaction on his part out of the girl.
-----
Bored as hell, Vincent began rampaging around the dance floor, raising his arms and bending his fingers so they seemed claw-like, stomping around like a certain lizard from Tokyo. <Rawr, raaawr~> he growled, trying to sound as grisly as a ten year old could be. The tiny bird on his head had flew off and flew straight through Vincent's back, reemerging from the black tuxedo as a dark looking raven. It perched back on his head and stood there menacingly while the kid rampaged. Not exactly bothering to look where he stepped, his transparent body floating right through Hinako's dance partner, Connor. Being made of smoke, it had no effect on Vincent, but he looked behind him as he walked away to see what mental effect it had on the poor albino.

Savannah turned to the one who spoke to him. "Oh, hi there. I suppose you're my partner then." A small flicker of dissatisfaction flashed acrossed his face, but only for an instant. Then the smile returned. "Well it certainly will be a mystery I'm sure. Hopefully we'll get something really cute." He brushed a few stray strands of hair back behind his ear. "So, Novice is it? I guess we should get to know each other better." He glanced at his shoes then looked up quickly. "I'm Savannah, I might not look it but I'm fourteen. I collect cute things and give them cute names. I've got several pokemon, but I only caught one of them. Anything else?"

Novis feared what he expected, and got what he feared. Then again, a boy in a skirt would inevitably like cute things...
He flashed an invisible smile. "It's Novis, with a long O - like 'nova'. I don't technically have an age, seeing as I was..." Novis stopped, not wanting to delve into his memories of Tesla.

"Oh, I see, sorry Novis." Savannah glanced around. "You know, I'm not entirely sure what to do. I mean, to be honest, you aren't what I expected when I read about the partners and then it never said what to do. I mean, other than the pokemon. Do we fight sdomebody or something?"

"Don't worry, you're not what I expected either. Then again..."
Novis looked around at the other pairs getting to know each other. Seemed like no one else knew much either...
He read the invitation again, and turned back to Savannah. "Nothing about a fight. From what I can tell, it's just some special Pokemon we're getting together."

Ciara suddenly worried, noticing silence, did Luke already head up, or was she being paranoid? She turned around and looked, she didn't know if she was looking in the right places...

A shout came from one side of the room. "Hey! Trainers, come this way for your pokemon."At the corner of the room, a table with pink pokeballs was being occupied by a small brown haired woman. She waved eagerly at all the pairs of people. "Make sure you stay with your paired person in order to get matching pokemon. Line up together, and I'll begin handing them out."
