Kai beamed, "Yes! You should come! I've found lot's of interesting people to run shops and stuff inside the building, so you never know what you'll find. Though I bet the hottest place will be the TM Shop once more people notice it." he chuckled, and felt himself relax a little more. This wasn't so hard after all... "So, when did you start your journey?"
==== { Ardeo } ====
The Blaziken huffed when Novis returned, edging closer to Molly to give Dmitriy more room. He watched with glowing eyes as Bane unleashed Iron Tail. "Sweet." he murmured, with a huge grin. Tak might've had some levels on her, but she had the edge with moves now. "I'd better get moving with my training, or he's gunna be able to wipe the floor with me one day soon!" Ardeo laughed, hardly realized he was thinking outloud. But, boy would it be good for he and Dmitriy to get together for a good battle one of these days.

White nodded, recognizing the name. "Yeah, I've heard of you before." he finally admitted, realizing it was pretty familiar. "Fire gym leader, eh? I'm all water pokemon," he said with a laugh, deciding it would be pretty easy to get along with this guy. "But if you're up for it, a battle would be fantastic. After seeing these trainers have at it, I'm craving one, too." He raised his eyebrows a bit as he listened to Vincent's question and then leaned back a bit, folding his arms. "Nah, full battle. Not just one on one, unless you want it to be, but it'd be too short then, I think." he said, shrugging. His crimson eyes fell sideways as he watched the battle going on between Rin and Dmitriy for a moment, before looking back to Vincent.
-
Luke was distracted for a moment by the battle, his eyes switching between the two pokemon before his mind actually registered what Kai had said. "So, when did you start your journey?" "Oh!" he blinked, focusing again. "A few months ago, I guess? I'm just outside of Sasqui City, to be honest. I've had a lot on my plate, but I've got a pretty good pokemon team already so it should be smooth sailing." he said, almost trying to convince himself as much as Kai as he said this. "Must've been a while ago for you though, hey? Do you have all the badges and stuff, too?" he asked, curious. He said he'd been with his team a few years now... which was, in Luke's perspective, amazing.
-
Molly watched as Leah approached Savannah, and glanced sideways at Ardeo, watching the battle as well. It was pretty impressive. She thought glumly about her own pokemon team. Taygete was a great companion, but besides the little sandshrew the only other two she had was a Swalot she, in general, wanted to get rid of, and a Ralts who she hardly knew. She hadn't had any experience battling, at all. "Yeah, same here." she replied a bit distantly, blinking as her tail drooped a bit. "I've gotta get my team into some shape if I expect to beat any gym leaders or trainers I run into," she added.

Savannah was pulled away by an approaching girl who smiled at him. He racked his brain for a name or face but quickly came up with nothing. He wondered what it was she wanted, maybe it was just to talk or possibly a battle. Maybe both. Both would be good. His hand began to twitch lightly with the building energy.
"Hi there." He said to her, barely loud enough to go over the music and background noise. "Do I know you? Because if I do, then I forgot. If not, I'm Savannah."

ooc// Wow, three pages gone by after missing a single day!
ic// Sulteron watched the battles between a Zangoose and a Cacturne, and then a Charmander and Tailow. Should she challenge someone to a battle? As fun as that might be, she didn't think it would go down so well. Most of her Pokémon would want to stay outside, her Carvanha and Ariados weren't obedient, and her Doduo's two heads would argue... no, perhaps she should just enjoy the chatting and food and stuff until they were paired up. She then noticed that Connor person watching her, and gave him a warm smile. He seemed nice. He glowed red, looking away. She grabbed a cupcake, chewing slowly as the Espeon 'morph waited for something to happen.
Connor got over his embarrassment, hoping it hadn't made Sulteron find him creepy or anything. He sighed, his ruby eyes finding where Leah had begun talking to Savannah. At first he thought they were both girls, but then he noticed that Savannah was a boy wearing girl clothes. How unusual. Back in the region he came from, that would have been looked badly on, yet here, people just thought it odd and let it pass. He wondered over, smiling faintly. "Hello. My name's Connor." he greeted him.

Savannah looked at the other newcomer. All of a sudden two people had come to talk to him. His hand started twitching at his side. His sister had said he'd be popular in the dress. He smiled at the second person who had showed up. "Hi there Connor, I'm Savannah." His voice certainly fit his outfit. "I doubt I've met you before, though I may not remember."

Ciara looked around for awhile, felling uneasy. It seemed as though somebody was stalking her. Finally she had to reply to this mystery person, or at least find somebody else to chat to. She went up to the first person she saw was alone, or at least she thought. When she heard somebody else conversing with him she instantly found out who exactly he was. Or at least maybe his name. Connor? That name seemed to strike her, in a newspaper maybe? It probably only said his name once, and this could have been any Connor. Of course she was forced into conversation when she realized she was staring at him. "Ummm..I'm s-s-sorry, I-I-I was..looking for... the....uh..the...." this was the time she wished she wasn't such a bad liar, saying this must have made her look really stupid. She just realized who was with him, a boy wearing... a dress? This all seemed too familiar, like one of those nightmares where milkows eat honchcrows.

one of those nightmares where milkows eat honchcrows. ((*points left* I shall kill you for that. X3)) Realizing he was unwelcome among his old group, Novis took his awkwardly-existing punch cup and floated around the Gym, surveying the other attendees. He noticed a seemingly-lonely shiny Espeon at the table with the cupcakes. Since he had nothing better to do, he glided over to her. "What did you think of the battles so far?" he asked her, hoping she wouldn't be as hostile as the others.

The gym leader's eyebrows shot up at the all-too familiar move. She did not bother shouting out any commands to dodge or block, she knew it was pretty much hopeless going up against Arial Ace.
"Nicely done!" She smiled yet again, clearly pleased. "Obviously, you've got some tricks up your sleeve, you and your pokemon. Very impressive." Taabi was thinking the complete opposite, of course. The attack had blown him a good ways back, and he struggled with each wingbeat. He wasn't sure how much longer he could stay airborne, he'd have to get through this battle quickly- between the burn and Bane's attacks, he probably wouldn't last one more turn.
However, both he and his trainer both knew he had one ace in the hole- his Guts ability. If he could just land one good attack with either his hightened attack power or chances of a critical hit, maybe they'd have a chance. Maybe.
"Now then, that was good. But we'll show you what a real Arial Ace looks like. Taa-chan!"
Taabi did as instructed, this time the pain from his burning wings only boosting his aggresiveness. The little bird swooped down at Bane, putting all of his dwindling strength and rage into this shot. [/center]

Connor looked as Ciara joined him, Leah and Savannah. He smiled at Savannah. "No, we haven't met before, so don't worry." he said, hoping it was the right thing to say in a time like this. His social skills lacked... well, pretty much everything, really. He heard Ciara mumble. She had been staring at him... well, he could understand that. After all, it wasn't as if he was exactly normal, what with his Pidgeot feathers, ghostly skin, snowy hair and ruby eyes. He smiled at her. "Hi." he said simply, moving his arm up and then down again in a very breif wave.
Sulteron watched as Novis came near. Well, he was certainly an unusual person. She smiled. Company was always good. But what did she think of the battles? "I think the one between the Zangoose and Cactune was quite good for the skill of the two, but the one going on right now is also good." she replied. Yeah, that would just about do it.

Ciara replied soon, "Hi, um...I'm not, uh, good with...Socializing. Er, I mean, I could be..If I weren't in a huge crowd." She realized that now there was a group of four with herself included, realizing that she may have intruded. "Uh.. Err...This is the part where I usually say something stupid and then ruin everything, but uh, ummm..." she had no clue what to say next, she was completely baffled. 'Why am I being so shy, I love parties!' she thought. Ciara, the red-headed, green eyed, pale, party lover was being...shy? 'I don't get it' kept coming across her mind. "Umm.. Hi" she said to the strange boy in a dress, and the other girl who appeared to be called Leah, she wasn't so sure on that one...

"The first one was definitely one of the more exciting battles I've ever seen," Novis replied. "The one going on now is heating up as well though...literally. This turn will likely decide the entire battle. If this Aerial Ace doesn't do as much as it's expected to, Taillow is through."
Novis surveyed the Gym again, watching everyone for a few seconds. He turned back to the battle, intently watching the final few turns.

((No dancing so far? Haha. Reminds me of middle school dances. At least the crappy ones..))
The party had already started, but there was one guest who didn’t take much note of it. That was Kallan, sitting on a stool in a secluded area. The eternally-sixteen year old wasn’t being noticed, but it wasn’t too hard to miss him. He sat there enveloped in a wispy cloud of fog, it’s gray matter matching the gray tones of his clothes, skin and hair. Yellow feline eyes peered solemnly around the room at the moment, but sometimes they were red like a demon. He couldn’t make up his mind. Kallan- and his Gastly friend Vincent, who floated right next to him contently- happened to arrive around the same time the rest of the guests did. But he had not arrived by air but rather by water; he had walked upon it to the Gym. Although he was capable of simply floating, Kallan had let his feet appear to be stepping onto the ocean merely for effect. He felt sorta godly doing it (though Vincent didn’t understand. He had to explain the Jesus reference to him.), and that made him feel less upset about having to go to this party.
Why they even made the journey was a total mystery to him. It was Imogene’s fault, dragging them here for a dance, what rubbish. Though, Kallan thought with a fair grin, it was payback for the mental torture he was dragging her through. That deserved a jolly laugh, and it made Vincent turn his distracted mind onto his fellow ghostly acquaintance.
“What’s so funny?” he asked, his light gray eyes showing no trace of past irritation. Kallan’s eyes, however, turned to a dark blue, like a vast ocean. “Nothing, Vinny,” the boy said with a quiet sigh. Returning to silence, Kallan began to drift into the mental ocean of memories and sort of evaporate in thought.. He remembered dancing when he was, well, alive. He had done it, what? A few thousand times. Just, you know, the simple ballroom dance. Hold her hands, arm out a bit, a few steps this and that way. Circle around in a rhythmic way, getting lost in the music. He wouldn’t admit it, but he did love dancing. He enjoyed the piano the best and had learned in some of his spare time, too. His least favorite part was the girls. He was rather bitter and hissed if his partner tried to even talk to him. That time passed, though. Maybe he could indulge a bit in his afterlife..
Vincent looked at Kallan again. “Excited, huh?” he said with a toothy grin. Kallan gave him a dull look and put his head in his hands. “Oh, totally, he muttered, dripping with sarcasm. “Except it’s missing something..” With a few inconspicuous twitches of the hand, he rose a tower of fog next to them to form into a freshly-sharpened guillotine.
“To relieve the guests of their misery,” he explained.
“That’s not funny. And not a very nice thought, either,” the Gastly huffed. He was surprised, though, when Kallan replied, “Oh, you’re right! Ho ho, I’m so inconsiderate sometimes.”
But then, a second guillotine appeared from smoke. “They have a partner, you know,” Kallan explained once more.
Now a bit upset, Vincent looked impatiently to the entrance where Imogene would walk through when she arrived (as a side note, they hadn’t used the front door. A wall worked just as well for them.) “When’s Imo getting here? You’re just a big party pooper.. I bet she knows how to have to have fun..”
Kallan tussled his hair and leaned back as he crossed his arms. “Well, while you’re waiting.. I think it’s about time you dropped the Gastly form. For now, you know. Special occasion.” Vincent gave him a serious, unwilling look, and he continued on. “Oh, come on. And put on something fancy, not that ragtag thing you always like wearing.”
With a sigh, the Gastly succumbed to the request and closed his eyes in concentration. The gas around his solid sphere of a body began to twirl and spin, and soon it rushed down to the ground like a waterfall onto a chair, then reaching down to the ground. It swirled around, solidified into a shape and all of a sudden colors started to appear in different shades of gray and black. Now, sitting next to the ghostly image of Kallan, a ten-year old in a mini-tuxedo held on to the bottom of his chair and kicked his feet playfully. He had long locks of curly black hair, awfully messy but fairly similar to the asymmetry and wispiness of a visible gas. The boy’s skin was awfully pale and his facial features hinted at French blood. The only thing that really still looked like Vincent was the droopy gray eyes with a kind glaze to them.
Kallan gave a smile as nostalgia flooded his senses of a different, happier time. Now there’s the Vincent I know. “Welcome back.”

((D: I can't handle the pressure. Passing it back to Winter. xD)) Dmitriy winced for his pokemon. However, the other pokemon's luck wasn't quite there. The attack had hit, sending Bane flying. However, it was not a critical hit, and, sensing the end of the battle on her side, she got back up to her feet. Very weakly, she stumbled forward. Dmitriy opened his mouth to yell for another Aerial Ace, but the pokemon wasn't listening anyways so he closed it. He also doubted she had the energy for the high jump needed for the attack. Instead he watched as she stood her ground, silver lining her body again. Once she felt supported by the metal coating, she leaped foward quickly and lshed out with her tail.
Leah grinned at Savannah, "No, you don't know me. I'm Leah. I just came over because you look.. interesting." She couldn't describe her thoughts in a better word, so she left it at that and greeted the other addition to their group with a polite nod.
Vincent smiled at the leader. He knew the other must be thinking about all the possible advantages of fighting him with water. However, he had no doubt the leader would be wrong. He had his pokemon well stocked with moves difficult for even the strongest type advantage to overrule. "Yes, I agree. A full battle would be more exciting. I hope you have a pokemon center close" he said, winking, "I am curious. Do you know the people you invited, or did you just invite at random for a social event for yourself as well?"

"Interesting?" He frowned and looked down at his outfit. "But my sister picked it out for me. I admit I can't color coordinate very well but she said these would look good together." He began digging through his bag. "Maybe I need a hairband or something, darn it I can't find one."

"Well, I actually think you look pretty normal Savannah," Ciara said out of the blue. "But if you really need a hairband I have one right here," she said as she attempted to pass him a blue scrungy. "Hey Connor, umm..What's with the scar on your face... I mean, no wait! Don't answer that! It was stupid..." Ciara questioned Conner confusingly.
