It was evening, and the sky was beginning to turn a dark blue as the sun fell out of sight. Still, a spectrum of colour mirrored the ocean below, going from light blue down at the horizon up through shades of turquoise and navy before turning completely dark. Waves crashed against the shore no more than a few metres below the giant glass wall that made up one side of the gym sitting, as it appeared, in the middle of the ocean. Lights glittered along the edges, alternating as they flashed between red and pink. Inside, streamers were hanging down, balloons were tied up at what looked like every possible location, and tables were set up along the glass wall. A few chairs were here and there, lit by table lamps, obviously only to serve the purpose of sitting and talking or enjoying a bite to eat. Several giant bowls of pink punch were on one table, little sandwiches and many chocolates and cupcakes on another. Up above, a walkway ran the length of the gym, with a railing to keep it safe. A small stereo system was set up there, but speakers were located everywhere in the gym that were busting out the music hooked up. In the far corner, blocked off by several very tough looking Nidoking, was a podium. Behind it were several pokeballs.
White took a deep breath, and exhaled. It felt like the first time he'd actually breathed for the entire day. He'd been setting it all up, with the help of his sisters. "It's done, now," "Right? We can go," "hang out in Dodger now, right?" they inquired, and White nodded, smiling. "Thanks for the help. People should start showing up soon, so get out while you can!" They nodded eagerly and ran out of the gym. Being younger than most trainers, they weren't interested in a dance- and especially not a valentines dance.
At any rate, it was ready. The party would only start when people showed up!

Dmitriy could see the two helpers as they ran off from his high perch on a Charizard. He could feel the beast's muscles writhing under his legs as it worked to slow down enough to lower onto the ground. The two children had already disappeared by the time the fire dragon had landed, and Dmitriy couldn't see anyone other than the hulking pokemon "bouncers" and the gym leader. Or, what he thought was the gym leader. Am I the first one here? he wondered to himself, hugging a little tighter on his own little fire lizard who was in his arms.
He'd never been to a party before. This would be interesting for sure. He only knew what a bouncer was because his father had been one years back. Slowly, he stepped towards the entrance, looking a little nervous about the whole thing. He wished any moment now many more charizards would come swooping down with their own passengers.
When he finally came close enough to see White, he let one arm slip off his Charmander to wave a greeting, avoiding the eyes of the Nidoking guards. They were intimidating, to say the least.
Another Charizard came into view of the party, landing a little farther back from Dmitriy's. Brandon groaned. He wish he had gotten a smarter ride, who would have dropped him in with style so all the ladies would be impressed with his valor. Or, whatever that would be. Long story short, riding a fire dragon was pretty hot in his book. Regardless, he nodded politely to the large beast before starting his trek towards the party. As he got closer he noticed the lack of people, and was rather disappointed that there was no hot ma'ams to impress anyways.
He continued forward regardless. At least he could get settled before the rush..

Issac felt like a tool. And stupid. And a little nervous. He was walking from Dodger City, on the land bridge connecting the two islands. He had let LaRoche, his little ball of energy Tailow, out of her Pokeball and she was happily high above him doing loops. He sighed, a little exasperated. He had let her out so he wouldn't feel like such a tool walking up to a Valentine's Day Dance not only Charizardless, but all alone. The Charizardless he could explain. He was in Dodger City at the time of the invite, so it would have felt completely unnecessary to have it fly him across the land bridge. But the loneliness, he had no excuse for it. He was a handsome, intelligent, all around amazing person (in his opinion). Why couldn't he have snagged a date on the way there?
"Tailow! Tailow!" Issac heard, and his Tailow was at his side again, speaking quickly in a language he couldn't understand. She was telling him how beautiful the water and gym and sunset were, but all he heard was her repeating her name. He shook his head at the flying type, before realizing he was at the dance entrance. "Wow. Absolutely no girls." He said to the nearest person there (he would learn his name was Brandon). "Just a couple guys and their muscular Pokemon. Is Dodger City the San Francisco of this region?" Issac joked in a serious way before entering the gym and wondering where his free handouts would be.

Novis watched the ocean zoom by as his Charizard flew him to Dodger Island. Apparently the Charizard got distracted by a Drifloon floating by, and nearly dumped Novis into the ocean. Novis, not entirely pleased, decided to give the dragon a small shock. Bad idea.
The Charizard plummeted to about half its height, tossing Novis off. A few seconds later, he found his head buried in a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. He dug himself out and watched as a pissed-off Charizard flew toward the Gym without him.
"Well that was useless."
Novis ran to the edge of the sandbar and jumped out over the ocean, hoping to hover above the surface and glide to the Gym. He followed the Charizard as far as he could before it left his sight, and when it finally did, Novis could make out the Gym's peninsula in the distance.
After about ten minutes of magnetic manipulation, Novis reached the shore. He levitated himself up to the Gym, where he found his Charizard sitting outside with one of the Nidoking.
Novis said to himself, "...I'm screwed. Literally," he added, making sure all of the screws in his mechanical body were tightened.

Riding on the back of a pokemon was amazing. Hinako watched in awe as the Charizard carried her, clamping her legs tightly around the neck of the Charizard. The beast circled the gym, once or twice, but Hinako was too busy looking the other way to notice.
She didn't notice, in fact, until the beast took a dive straight towards the ground, which did catch the blue-haired child's attention. "Nani?"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAIEEEEEE!" She screamed as the pokemon used what seemed to be an Ariel Ace, diving down at the ground and sweeping upwards at the last second.
Now Hinako was clinging for dear life! This scared her. Truly it did. The beast, did, however, drop her off, nodding to her as she staggered away from it, breathing heavily.
She could have sword she would collapse on the ground!
And yet, she didn't. "Na..."
Straightening up, the girl entered the gym and glanced around. Nidoking were intimidating, but she decided against messing with them. Yeah. She was terrified.

Yes! Ardeo sat on his Charizard like a lord, beaming down at the Gym they were rapidly approaching. He could feel the power trapped in this dragon, feel the heat of it's heart. It. Was. Awesome. One day, he'd have one. He grinned wider as they began a spiral decent, allowing him to cast a quick look about at everyone. He was pleased to note he knew one person. But less pleased to note that Tak wasn't a Charmelon yet. Oh well... Ferlap!Ferlap! With incredible grace, the orange dragon landed lately, and Ardeo lingered an extra moment on his mount before sliding off and looking at the Gym. "Holy crap." he totally didn't notice the Nidokings in awesome leather jackets and sunglasses, and made a beeline for Dmitriy. "Heeeey! Long time, no see!" he beamed, waving at the Houndoom.

Luke slid awkwardly off of the Charizard that stopped outside of the gym, and patted the big dragon for a moment with a smile before it took off. He peered inside, his stomach dropping. Socializing... was most certainly not one of his strong points. "Well, here goes nothing." he muttered to himself, pushing the door open and walking in. As he looked around, he saw not too many people had arrived yet. That was almost reassuring. Unsure of what to do, he strolled inside, attempting to remain normal and look calm and cool while he was doing so. Sometimes he forgot he had blue hair and a cool look now. He still pictured himself as the dorky little lab assistant he had been before he'd turned into a pokemorph.
Molly jumped happily off of her Charizard a little ways down the sand bank, not bothering to give it a thank you before she took off along the sand. As she neared the gym, she passed by a magnemite pokemorph of some sort, and without thinking, gave him a weird look before walking in with complete confidence into the gym. She blinked, looking around. Here she was expecting some huge party or something. She shrugged, her tail flicking back and forth behind her as she headed to the punch table. Her mouth was dry now, after talking with the Charizard all the way here. The cold evening air had sucked all the moisture out of her throat, or so it seemed. Getting herself a cup of pink punch, she turned to look at the rest of the room, her gaze falling on all of the people there one by one. She recognized Brandon, and rolled her eyes. Of course he'd come to a party like this. Well, at least she knew someone. Still, someone else was talking to him, by the looks of it. She continued standing where she was, sipping her punch, waiting for something more interesting to happen.
White glanced up as a few more people walked in, and let his shoulders drop a bit. It was good that more people were showing up. He lifted a hand towards Dmitriy in response to his wave, until noticing the Charmander. "Hey, you-" before he could get his warning across, one of the Nidokings had lumbered over to Dmitriy, pointing at the Charmander in a blatantly accusational way before glaring at the trainer. <Please return your charmander back into it's ball. Pokemon are not to be out here, unless engaging in a battle.> it grunted in an extremely deep voice. It turned now, to Isaac, glaring angrily at the boy and his Taillow, in a warning. "Yeah." White finished with a bit of a bored expression, leaning against the podium and grinning as he watched all of the trainers enter.

((Why is it always Furret that run into me...I accidentally bumped into one's tail over on CODA >_>))
Novis noticed a Furret girl dash past him and give him a weird look. He was about to go chase after her to find out when his Charizard's flaming tail stopped him from entering the Gym. <Where do you think you're going?>, it asked him in a rough voice.
"Inside, where I should be," Novis replied, with a noticeable hint of anger. He ducked under the tail as if he were cutting a velvet rope line, and went inside the Gym.
Novis looked around at everyone inside. Realizing he knew no one, he went to find the Furret.

Dmitriy brightened when he noticed Ardeo, but his smile quickly turned into a wide-eyed confused expression as the Nidoking advanced on him. He backed up a step as the large hulking pokemon came up to him. After hearing what it had to say, he blinked. Put Bane.. where? He had never put her in a pokeball. Glancing down at his fire lizard, he sighed and pulled out her ball. It was in a special pouch in his bag at the side. Pushing the button so it expanded, he smiled at her and gave it one quick tap against her side, watching as the red light absorbed her into it without a struggle. He put the ball in his bag again, taking time to see the little Charmander inside. He didn't like it, that was certain. "Sorry." he stated to the Nidoking, noticing as he said it it was already walking away. "Alright Ardeo, let's head inside." He said, trying to seem cheerful though he knew he'd feel much better with his companion on his shoulder.
Brandon nodded to Isaac. "Ah, give 'em some time. They're probably makin' themselves look hot for the party." He said, winking at the boy and grinning widely at his own made up vision. He quickly followed behind, and as the other entered so did he. Making sure to search the room for anyone he missed, he jumped when he noticed Molly. He didn't know she was coming. He would talk to her later, as he had new girls to take care of first. He continued looking, feeling more and more disappointed that no other females were at the party. After almost giving up he noticed another girl enter. His eyes followed Hinako, and a grin crept onto his face slowly. Yes, she would do for now. He'd be expecting more, but he would take the time to be known to all of them. He watched her until he felt like he had met her eye, and nodded at her, smiling kindly.
Two more girls came in one behind the other, but without meeting the other's eye. They apperantly didn't know each other. Leah was one of them, looking around the room curiously to see all the faces. She recognized no one. It surprised her River wasn't at this. It seemed like the kind of thing he'd wanna go to. He seemed social enough. Her first instict was to go to the punch bowl, where she found another girl already located. She smiled at Molly and quickly took her own drink. "Hello!" She said, giving a giddy smile as she got her own beverage.
The other girl. Or, woman would be the better term, quickly scanned her surroundings. All of these men were not men at all it seemed. All she could locate were boys around the room. She looked clearly disappointed. Boys were just not near as knowing in the ways of women as men were. It was a fact. She saw her reflection in the glass lightly, and smiled at the face she saw. If nothing else, it would be fun to mess with the boys, Many of them looked like they'd try their luck with just about any lanky twelve year old that entered, so she didn't doubt at least one would approach her.

Molly glanced sideways at Leah, blinking a bit at being talked to so suddenly. And it wasn't a hot guy. Damn. But, she now had a friend. This girl seemed nice enough! "Hey," Molly responded, and stuck out her hand. It was an easy way to get to know people, at least. "I'm Molly!" she introduced herself with a happy smile, her ears perked.
Luke stared awkwardly around as more and more people started to show up. All he had to do was introduce himself. It was easy. Right, Luke? Yeah, easy. He looked around, and recognized Brandon, his old lab buddy. He followed his gaze towards a girl who seemed a bit terrified. Deciding she looked harmless enough, he strolled over to her and took a deep breath. "Are you scared to death of the Nidokings, too?" he asked, a small smile on his face as he greeted her. It'd be nice to get to know someone.

Novis finally found his target by the punch bowl. He glided over to the Furret, ignoring the other girl with her.
"Were you trying to imply something with that look you gave me earlier?"
Novis didn't really care what she wanted. He simply had nothing better to do. He hovered just above the Gym's floor, distracted in his thoughts but trying not to show it.

Leah grinned and put her own hand out to shake the girl's. "I'm Leah. It's nice to meet you." She said, grinning cheerfully, obvioulsy happy the girl wasn't an insane psycho case. That was always good, in her book. She took a step back as another pokemorph interrupted their conversation. "Um, excuse me." She snapped, "Talk about rude. If you want to talk to her at least aknowledge me and don't interrupt." She rolled her eyes. Boys were so careless.

Molly smiled back at Leah, and then turned when she noticed the Magnemite pokemorph. She was a bit surprised for a second to see him again, and turned to face him. For a moment, she considered agreeing with Leah and saying it was rude; at the same time, she did give him a rather strange look. And Molly couldn't pass down the opportunity for an argument. "Are you saying you don't get those looks often enough? Can't you take a guess?" she replied in a bit of a challenge, grinning. Her tail twitched, and she wondered how he would respond.

Novis wasn't expecting such a response from the Furret. Again, he ignored the Skitty, and said, "On the contrary, are you sure you don't give them out too often?"
He had a feeling the Skitty would go after him at any moment, so he kept floating. His escape plan included inducing a positive charge into her and then electromagnetically repelling himself away through realignment of his own electrons, and he needed a constant flow of magnetism in order to do so. Either way, he kept on his toes - or rather, on the air below them.

Molly didn't miss a beat. "Why should I care?" she asked, staring at Novis in slight annoyance. "Did I hurt your feelings or something?" She took another sip of her punch, her ears perked expectantly as she raised her eyebrows. The party was already interesting, but she found her brown eyes lifting their gaze to where Brandon was standing for a second. He seemed to be looking at some girl and a guy with blue hair. For a split second, she was happy she wasn't a pokemorph of some oddly coloured pokemon. Having blue hair would suck. She liked her brown hair well enough. She looked back at Novis now, realizing he seemed almost... nervous about something, as if he was ready to dart off at any moment.
