Leah glowered at him. Her voice suddenly turned very cold and hard, and her eyes narrowed to slits. Despite her clearly livid apperance, her voice came out steady and firm. "Excuse me, but unless you quit being an incompetent ass and aknowledge my existance, you will also expirience a wet sensation as I empty my punch onto your back." She said, raising her own glass of pink substance and smiling cheekily.

Novis debated whether to test their patience further. He abandoned his escape plan for something more interesting. He flicked a spark into the air.
"Magnets don't have feelings," he said to the Furret.
He then, finally, took notice of the Skitty. "I would not advise that, for your own safety as well as your friend's and that of everyone in here. Your body is a conductor, and that sugared drink would only rearrange the electrons within my metallic generator of a body. Assuming you're careless enough, as is usually the case whenever someone acts out of anger, the excess negative charge would flow through the punch straight into you, electrocuting you and likely your friend as well. Your only chance to avoid it is to find a way to ground it out before it's too late, which, based on the speed of the current, is nearly impossible."
Novis took his own cup of punch, hoping to use it to counter any plans the Skitty may have as well as to help the flow of electrons into her body, should she decide to "punch" him. He remained hovering, making it impossible for him to ground the charge himself.

Ardeo patted Dmitriy on the back good naturedly, he must not have seen the fine print about the 'drinks' and 'Pokemon being safer in their Poke'balls'. "Hey, those Nidoking are pretty bad ass, eh? We'll have to have a battle later, too. Though Tak and I have been... Kinda slackin' off." he rubbed the back of his head and grinned widely as he spoke, and then nonchalantly swept the room with his golden eyes. "Whoa..." he blinked and tilted his head at the little floating dude by some girls, and then tilted his head the other way as he watched them. "Heeeey..." was that little floating... thing picking on girls. "Hey!" he stepped up towards them, eyes narrowed. "What're you doin', waving your punch cups like weapons? This is a party! We're supposed to make friends." he stopped a few feet away, and crossed his arms. He realized after a moment he forgot to see if Dmitriy had followed him, but at this point it didn't matter. Small flickers of flame appeared by his wrists as he felt agitated - who was going to mess up his first chance to really socialize with his fellow trainers? Not like he was going to have a huge chance of seeing them on the road. He huffed as he waited, hoping there was a good answer for this blasphemy.

Novis was unfazed as a Blaziken came over to join them. Normally he would be afraid of such a powerful Pokemon with a double type advantage over him, but he was too distracted to care. "Magnets don't need friends."
He turned back to the Furret and Skitty, secretly hoping the Blaziken would put down their plans for revenge.

Two late arrivals were now entering. They were a girl and boy, named Connor and Sulteron. Sulteron entered first. She was a Pokémorph; a shiny Espeon Pokémorph, to be exact. She looked about the place, smiling. She was a sociable person and loved parties- after all, that was why she had come. She loved making friends and chatting with old ones, and this place looked wonderful. She'd even gone to the trouble of getting Chia, her emerald Cyndaquil, in his Pokémon! Now that was something that was tricky! This party looked perfect to her; lots of people, scary Nidoking bouncers so nothing bad would happen, drinks, food, music, laughter, lots of people... not to mention, they'd be matched up. She wondered who she'd be matched with.
Connor arrived a few minutes later. He was handsome, but most people didn't notice that past his ghostly appearance. His blood red eyes and paper white skin and hair always came as a shock, not to mention he was a Pigeot Pokémorph. When he entered the party, he was a little stunned. Wow, this was... this was really something. All this entertainment and food and drink... back in his home region, this sort of thing was unheard of. It was natural for him to be a little taken aback; he'd never dreamed of anything like this. He couldn't imagine people of all different sorts getting along. Ah, being sociable. Something he didn't know how to do. Still, should be fun, right? Plus he'd be paired with a girl. That was pretty neat.
His eyes caught sight of Sulteron, and hers of him. She was pretty... and a 'morph like him, too. Sulteron thought Connor looked pretty cute, but was a little too nervous to make conversation, as was the boy. Maybe she'd speak if they were matched or something... she smiled at him, making him blush. That made her blush, too, and they both gave each other a nervous wave before heading away to make friends. Sulteron moved towards Molly, Leah and Novis. She beamed at the angry 'morphs. She hoped they wouldn't start a fight or anything. "Hello, my name's Sulteron. I just got here!" she introduced herself.
Connor headed for Dimitry and Ardeo. Why not? He should just go over there and talk. "Er- hi. I'm Connor. What are your names?" he introduced himself and asked a question, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything too important. His eyes briefly strayed to Sulteron before doing a quick survey of the room and looking back to the people he'd just spoken to.

Leah glowered at him. It didn't make sense, and she was mostly sure he had just pulled it out of his butt, however she couldn't help but being slightly intimidated by the sparks. She had no intentions of electrocuting herself. She considered all options, but didn't end up choosing anyways before another boy entered the scene. One who looked more in his early twenties than a teenager, but she still sent them both a smile. "Thank you for pointing that out." She said, grinning, "I'm sure this is just one of his first social gatherings, that's all." She said, her voice unnaturally sweet as she sent Novis a sarcastic smile. Secretly, however, she hoped the two would battle and she would be able to see the new arrival pound the boy into the floor.
Dmitriy turned to follow Ardeo, feeling much better about this now that they actually had a task before them. He noticed Connor on his way over, however, and guestured the boy to follow them. He wanted to get more friends, and he didn't want to disclude anyone who showed interest in their socialization. "Come if you wanna see a fight." He said, chuckling and giving a wink before following close to his friend.

Molly's expression became slowly more and more uninterested as Novis drawled on, and finally noticed the Blaziken morph and Dmitriy coming over. She grinned a little bit. Finally, more people! And guys, at that. "We're not gonna have a fight," Molly added. "That's not worth our time."
She glanced over at Connor for a moment, blinking as she noticed his strange appearance, too. Mostly though, he just looked cool. Really unique. Then she saw Sulteron, and turned to face her. This girl seemed nice enough. "Hey." she replied, holding out her hand. It was something she always did, by habit. "I'm Molly!" she added with her own smile, before taking a sip of her punch, which she was holding in her other hand.

Novis, in his usual style, ignored everything going on around him. Oblivious to what they were saying, Novis put down his cup of punch, since he had no mouth to drink it with. Instead, he wanted to see how many times it would be spiked, and then if no one else drank it, he would offer it to someone later in the night.
Satisfied with his plan, Novis noticed the newest arrivals to the group. He rolled his huge single eye and simply stood in front of the punch bowl, watching all of them intently.

Hinako, being socially awkward, remained beside the food table, not sure of how to go about the entire "Party" scene. Should she go talk to someone? Should she say something? All she knew was it was becoming increasingly boring to just stand around and watch. Not to mention she wasn't allowed to send out her pokemon, so she couldn't use checking up with Ember as an excuse today.
She looked across the food table, and helped herself to a cupcake. Hopefully no one tried to engage her in conversation, as they would see exactly why she remained so far away from everyone.
A small part of her wanted to run up to someone and do something very random, IE, pointing out something like how someone had eaten a LOT of cupcakes.
Then again, that would be hypocritical.
Kaki, on the other hand, managed to be the very LATEST person to arrive--or so she thought. She wore her goggles down over her head as the Charizard, one who seemed to be rather disoriented, circled the gym a few times. "Oi, ya gonna drop me off?"
When the Charizard didn't respond, Kaki began to tap on the beast's neck. "Hello?" He still didn't drop her. "Are you gonna let me dow--"
She had spoken too soon, and now she fell right in front of the door, face down. "Ow... That hurt..."

Sulteron shook Molly's hand, smiling. She seemed friendly, and Ardeo and Dmitriy had joined with the prospect of a battle. Ooh, a battle! That sounded cool and exciting! She took a few marshmallows from a dish and popped them in her mouth, savouring their deliciousness. Oh, she loved sweets! The Espeon 'morph watched Ardeo and Dmitriy. She'd like to see a battle. Perhaps she'd even challenge someone to a battle. Maybe, but she wasn't sure; she didn't really want to disturb the social aspect of things.
Connor followed the boys and turned to watch the battle too, before noticing he was standing next to the pretty girl he'd seen earlier. Oh... what was he supposed to say? His throat felt dry, but then she turned to him. "Er... hello. My name's Sulteron." she said, blushing slightly. He smiled nervously back, running a hand through his snowy hair; he wasn't wearing his hat indoors. He wasn't good at talking to people, and he'd do even worse when speaking to a girl he liked. "My... name.... my name's Connor... hi." he spluttered. She giggled, and he glowed red with embarassment, turning his attention on the possible battle. She had giggled, but he wasn't sure if she was laughing at him or with him... hopefully with.

Ardeo blinked, taken aback but the disinterest, and then by being ignored. His wrists flamed up, and he lowered his stance to a more aggressive one. He didn't care if one of the girls ( 'Oh, hey, I should introduce myself to them later...Can't forget to do that...' ) didn't want a fight - he knew he did. And it would please him to wipe the floor with a pretentious Metal-type. "Hey, if you didn't want to make friends - what's the point in coming to a dance?" he growled, "You know if your lookin' fer a fight, I got one for ya."

Kai patted the head of his Charizard, looking around nervously. He felt really out of place, but since he was new in this Region; and wasn't actually traveling, he figured this would be one of his few shots to make friends. And, well. It was nice to relax away from the Tower. He hadn't gotten any challenge letter, but he figured he was still new. They didn't know his power yet. Hehe. Smiling with the thought, he took out a Poke'ball and recalled the orange dragon, feeling a remote moment of "Hey, I was the only one to return a Charizard..." before shrugging it off and wandering inside. He was going to go get a drink, but someone seemed to be trying to pick a fight, and he'd just gotten here. Like he needed a brawl to make friends... He sighed to himself, and stood not far from the door. Feeling a bit like an idiot.

while riding the charizard Ciara began to wonder if she were late for the party, soon she looked around anxiously, hoping she would make it. "No" she thought, "I couldn't be late, otherwise the charizards wouldn't take me." Then again, Ciara had lived so far from the gym, and one charizard might get tired after awhile. She thought she heard something...music. It had to be from the gym, clearly. Yes! She made it! Or did she? Soon she'd reached ground level of the gym. "I hope i'm not too late! I promised I'd be there!" she said, a little to loudly. Then she entered the gym in hopes of being well invited. It was a party for socializing and battles after all.

Well that didn't exactly go as planned, Novis thought as he watched everyone gathering around him. I have an idea though...
"If you're looking for a fight you're not getting one," he said, picking up his punch cup again. He smirked with his nonexistant mouth and added, "So why hasn't the party started yet?"
He formed his right magnet-hand like a gun and clicked its "trigger", sending a small shock to the line of red and pink lights around the wall, making them glow brighter than ever. He turned to look out the wall-window and noticed the sun just beginning to set.
Novis turned back to the group. "I mean it."

Savannah carefully climbed off the charizard. He hoped he wasn't too late, but finding a proper outfit was tricky. He had finally decided, with help from his sister, on a nice red and black shirtwaist. Of course he was rather disappointed in the rule against pokemon outside their pokeballs but he'd make it up to them later. Of course he was mostly annoyed that his sister wouldn't let him bring his baseball bat. Still, he was determined to have a good time and maybe meet some interesting people. He took off his hat and slipped it into his bag. It had done it's job and kept his hair safe from the blowing wind. He smoothed out the dress took a deep breath.
Savannah entered the building and paused. Lot's of big and unpleasant looking types were standing guard. His sister said Valentines parties were full of cute things, and these were not. Still, the decorations did their best to make up for it and he smiled. He glanced around and his smile wavered. He hadn't realized that he wouldn't know anybody here, though he had known it before. A slight bit of shyness tugged at him and he really wished he had his baseball bat. He noticed some people having an animated conversation to one side and decided to avoid that area.
Savannah absentmindedly smoothed his dress as he thought about where he should go first. So he decided on the thing that made the most sense. It was a dance, so he moved away and began dancing with himself. The dance classes he had taken with his sister certainly had paid off he thought. As long as he kept himself entertained, there wouldn't be a problem.

"A Valentine's Day dance. How sweet."
Rin held on to the slightly crumpled invitation. It was difficult to read while it was flapping so wildly in the wind, but the flying trainer knew where she was going. She was simply going over the rules. "There can be battles, with just one pokemon. Mmm, no pokemon out of their pokeballs unless in battle... replied already..."
Dressed in a beautiful gown, it was a simple sky-blue, trimmed with downy white clouds around the edge of the skirt, collar, sleeves, and elegant gloves. Her hair in a neat bun and tied with long, blue, feathery ribbons. She was ready for the night. Hanging from her shoulder was a similarl-colored purse which contained what she never left whithout. Three full pokeballs. An extra one was empty, but only because it's owner was the one transporting the gym leader.
Suddenly, a gust of wind tugged at the slip of paper. It took her by surpise, and the memo was wrenched from her hand and tossed in the wind. She jumped in surprise, making the large bird pokemon under her chirp questioningly. The fleyer was long lost.
"No, it's nothing. I lost the invitation. But it's not a problem- look! There's the party!"
Indeed, just ahead of them were the lights of the city. And in it's center was a fantastic display, the gym, bright and dazzling in the night. Music boomed from it's center, reaching their ears over the whistling of the wind. Rin smiled. "Come, dear, let's land."
"Pyrooo~"
-~-
The bird's two feet gently met with the ground, Pyaani's rider jumping off her back lightly. The two were at the enterance to the gym, having no problems hearing the explosive music now. There were other trainers filing in, a crowd already inside. The entire lot rang with laughs, hoots, and happy shouts. Everyone in the region must have been here. Rin smiled.
But her smile swayed slightly when she sighted a few tough-looking pokemon about the place. Nidoking. Her mind flashed back to the few bullet points on the card.
"I'm sorry, my dear. It looks like you'll be partying in your nest tonight." At that, she took Pyaani's ball from the purse on her shoulder and withdrew the bird.
"Well then, it's time to party." Rin laughed quietly, and strode into the room.
Many trainers were dispersed about the room, but she noticed most of the young men men here were just that- young. A shame. Though I suppose I wasn't expecting to meet anyone. There's something of interest, though. The leader glanced at the small crowd already forming around the punch bowl. And it was apparent sparks were flying- litteraly. She saw a hint of what could have been fire. A battle, perhaps?
She walked closer, intruiged. It wouldn't hurt to watch. She stopped outside at the edge of the crowd, but didn't get in to close. She would watch from a distance. It wouldn't hurt. Who knew, one of these trainers would most likely be challenging her one day. [/center]
