Molly's brown eyes stared out at the desert in front of her, and she glanced back to where she figured Brandon was, but he wasn't there yet. Blinking, she let her hands rest on her hips and she frowned as she realized she must have been a faster runner or something. Scoffing to herself, she blew out a frustrated puff of air, making a few strands of her hair fly up before settling down again. Sitting down cross legged, she let out Taygete, and the Sandshrew sat next to her, enjoying the desert sun. "Sheesh. What a weirdo," Molly sighed with a frown, folding her arms as she continued sitting, her ears perked over her face to shade at least one of her eyes from the sun, while her tail swished back and forth, giving her a bit of a cooling breeze. Finally, she lifted her head and looked out at the sand ahead of her. It would be nice to start the journey with one other person, though, and this Brandon guy seemed pretty interesting. He'd broken the machine at the lab...putting a hand to her chin, she looked at the sky and wondered if people would be chasing after them. That would make things interesting, she admitted to herself, still watching the clouds go by. There weren't many, and even the ones that did pass in front of the sun were too small to cause any relief in temperature.

A feminine giggle sounded behind Molly as Portia, Brandon's Shuppet, balanced upside down behind her head. When the trainer turned, the pokemon let her tongue out, having it hang out a few feet, and bulging her eyes out for extra effect. For a tidbit more, she let out a rather gargled sounding squeal and disappeared with a satisfying cackle, to reappear behind Brandon who was watching, a grin spread across his face as he leaned against a rather pathetic looking tree that leaned to the side a bit on his weight. "She must like you." he said, projecting his voice since he was still a few yards away, his grin somehow getting larger though his original one seemed the normal human max.

Molly turned to see the Shuppet and immediately fell forwards a bit, sticking her hand out onto the sand to avoid falling on her face. Letting out a sigh of relief as she realized it was just a shuppet, she jumped up onto her feet and looked at Brandon with frustration. "Sheesh, you finally show up and you scare the crap out of me right away." she stated with a bit of a frown, though she paused as he grinned and let her shoulders relax. It was hard to be serious in front of him. Grinning faintly, she glanced down as Taygete found her way forwards to peer around at Brandon, curious as to where the giggle had come from. "Oh yeah. You got that Shuppet at the pokemon generator, right?" Meggy said, pointing at him with a blank expression as she remembered the Easter festival.

He stood up off the tree that swung back after him as he walked away from it towards her, wiping some of the dirt and bark that got on his shirt. When he got to her he just shrugged. "It's my style I guess." He said, glancing at his ghost pokemon before shaking his head. He would let her out for a bit, then trade her out for another one of his pokemon. He wasn't one of those trainers who left all his pokemon out on the rode. He didn't understand what the point of doing so was except to wear them out. Unless your pokemon liked whatever area they were in, or they flew- or hovered- as Portia did. "Yeah. She's brilliant. Pranks come to her quicker than me. Quite a feat, actually." He reached forward and stroked the smoke-like "dress" that cloaked her, "She might not have been the rarest one, but Shah's perfect for me in a way."

Wifts of sand started to move as the wind picked up, the sun beating down on what would seem to be the newly re-united pair. "C-chu..." a small form battled against the low gusts of sands, a splattered orange-yellow with a small mail-box-flag-type tail sticking straight up. Whatever it was, seemed to the struggling with this envoirment...Didn't seem to belong here at all...

Molly's expression was bored as she looked at the Shuppet, feeling a twang of jealousy. So this guy was a prankster, too. Figured he'd get a pokemon like that from the generator, and she'd get a lazy blob...literally. Shrugging, she turned back around to the route ahead of them. "Nah, that's cool. I-" she stopped as a noise interrupted her, and her eyes flicked to the side to where the sound was coming from. Her ears perked as she saw the tail poking out, and she headed towards it with curiousity. Taygete followed her, equally as curious, silent as she crept around the sand; unlike whatever pokemon this was, the Sandshrew was right at home. "Eh? What's there?" she asked, trying to see what it was.

Brandon looked to make sure Portia was doing okay with the wind, but she was busy letting it swirl her about, reaching over 10 yards away from them, letting out random loud noises. Glancing over at the Sandshrew, he anticipated the results. He didn't have any other good way of spotting the other pokemon either. He kinda hoped he got a desert pokemon soon enough as well, to make this trek much more easier. Not to mention he liked the idea of collecting as many pokemon as possible.

Small black tipped ears flicked as the hidden Pokemon seemed to sense the Human and her Pokemon heading towards it. But the wind..."Chaaa..." the small creature was bowled over before the wind slowly died down - leaving a sand covered Pichu panting in a pile of hot sand. It wriggled free of the small grains, shaking herself and adjusting a small red scarf around her neck, looking up with shock and dismay at Molly and her Sandshrew- taking several steps backwards.

Molly had to smile as she saw the little pokemon; it was pretty cute, even though she wasn't one to go all cuddly over every cute thing she saw. Taygete looked at the pokemon and walked forwards experimentally, extending her nose to attempt to sniff it. Molly leaned down on the balls of her feet, her Furret tail continuing to swish back and forth slowly behind her. "Hey little buddy. I like your scarf." she stated honestly; she didn't know the pokemon out here would have been wearing little clothes like that. She blinked, however, when she saw how out of place the little thing seemed. "You don't look too happy here in the sand and the wind." she decided with a frown, raising an eyebrow as she spoke to it, trying to seem as welcoming as possible. It was easy to tell the Pichu was scared, and she didn't want it to run away; firstly, because, well, it was the first pokemon they'd seen. Secondly, of course, it could get hurt; it was a little fish in a big pond out here, which, Molly added to herself, was a terrible metaphor for a desert...

Brandon tilted his head, looking at the tiny electric type. He smiled though, realizing this was the pre-evolution of Pikachu, a common pokemon of his favorite type. "Electric types don't do well around dirt and rocks. This is definitely not the right environment. It's okay, buddy, we won't eat'cha. Well... maybe Molly will, but I won't let her." He grinned at the girl, looking back and jumping slightly to see his Ghost pokemon staring over his shoulder at the Pichu, <I actually really like electric types, and have one myself.> With that he sent out Cal. The Wovren tilted her head down towards the other pokemon, knowing her job was to make it feel more secure.
Though he loved electric types, Brandon felt a little disappointed at the lack of a battle with this one. It didn't seem like it'd hurt a fly, much less attack a trainer or their pokemon.

The smaller Pokemon backed away from the Sandshrew, eyes roving from each face in quick succession. The increasing amount of voices and eyes were, instead of calming her, slowly sending her in to a bigger panic. "Pi...Pi-chu!" she started sparking uncontrollably, curling her small paws into fists and closing her eyes as she discharged her energy in an effort to scare all these things away.

"What? I'm not gonna eat it." Molly stated in frustration, and blinked as she noticed the Pichu beginning to make more noise. Surprised, she fell backwards, the static nearly hitting her; Taygete got hit by it a bit, but the ground pokemon was hardly affected, as if it had been...poked by something. She stood her ground, not feeling the need to move away from the little pokemon, while Molly took the chance to take a few steps backwards, standing closer to Brandon now. "Poor thing." she frowned, looking at it and trying to figure out some way to comfort it. "Taygeteeee," she chided now, frustrated at the sandshrew, "Give it some space." but the pokemon didn't move. She was too curious.
<Where did you get your scarf?> she asked, truly wondering where it was from. She loved how it looked, even though she might not admit it to the Pichu.

<Molly, I don't think it likes us talking to it.> He said gently, returning the Wovren. His brow creased in frustration, and without warning he said, "Shah, use Knock Off" And, quickly taking the order to attack, the ghost pokemon flew forward, striking at the Pichu, not sure if the item needed to be removed was the scarf, or what. But maybe it was just an attack, so she focused more on the hitting part, rather than the snatching.

The small Pokemon opened up one eye, feeling more at ease now that only one being was near her. ~I, uh...~ she started to reply, ears down and voice soft, before she squeaked and cling to her scarf like her life depended on it as the Knock Off hit. She hit the sand and curled up again, shaking, tiny paws wrapped around her scarf. After a moment or two, she rolled back up- little eyes teared up at the random attack of the floating dish-towel. Taking a moment to breath the small mouse sparked and then sent out a Thundershock. It was small, and weak, like she was hesitating. Battling wasn't her thing...She didn't really appear to want to hurt anyone at all.

Molly let out a smile as the pokemon started talking, and Taygete was listening with intent until the Shuppet flew past her. Shutting her eyes tight, the desert pokemon looked up with a frown as it saw that the Pichu had been flung backwards. Molly's jaw dropped, and she spun to face Brandon angrily. "What was that for? It was just getting comfortable!" she snapped angrily, her hands on her hips until her eyes flicked sideways to see how the Pichu was attacking. Taygete had moved forwards, and was now standing in front of the Pichu defensively, facing the Shuppet. Molly stared at their new positions with her mouth open in surprise, and avoided Brandon's gaze as she looked back towards the pokemon. It didn't seem like Taygete wouldn't bother moving now, even if Molly ordered it to; and she didn't want Brandon to attack it again, anyways.
