The scarf-bearing Pichu stood her ground, though she was grateful for the parting in the sandstorm the Sandshrew provided. ~I have to...~ she murmured. She didn't care how dangerous it was; or the fact that she was going a bit to early... She shook her head, looking all the more determined. ~I... I have to cross this desert.~ her voice trembled, but she stood firm. Though she could never win in a fight against either of these aparently vastly more experience fighters - she would try. Just as she would battle across this desert.

"Well don't be so dimwitted to believe you can do it by yourself. At least let us bring you to the other side with us." Brandon said before Molly or the Sandshrew could say anything, "You're not being smart and if you do it by yourself you'll faint at least, and probably die. If that's what you want, be my guest." He said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He knew deep down if the Pichu said she would go on alone he would attack her again. It would honestly hurt him in the future to think that he let such a small pokemon cross the huge desert alone.

Molly glanced towards Brandon, and smiled; that was a good idea. They could just take the Pichu with them to the other side, and let it go there if it wanted. "Yeah, there you go. We can bring you to the other side, at least." she waited patiently for the Pichu's decision, though, it wasn't like it had a choice. If it didn't agree and tried to run away, Taygete would stop her. The sandshrew had been nodding along with what Molly was saying- it knew the desert was too dangerous for that little thing, too.

The Pichu blinked up at the two. It would be...~But then I would be cheating.~ she stated, blandly. She appreciated the offer, but it was...Well, then again; she was doing the custom all wrong anyway. She rubbed her head, this was all rather confusing. She would have much preferred battling the desert alone. She stared at the shifting sands in thought, before nodding to herself. She'd already broken one law, it wouldn't hurt to break another. As she opened her mouth to consent (plus, she didn't really want to get whalloped again) a voice shouted over the sands. ~Meeeeei!~ She tilted her head to the side, confused. ~Meeeeeeei!~ the voice was persistent. Loud, and slightly irritated...And belonged to the shape of a rapidly growing Pikachu zooming across the desert at warp speeds. Like the Pichu, he too wore something around his neck. His, however, was a bandana and was a deep blue. He looked worried and relieved at the sight of the dumbfounded mouse, and slammed into her - drawing her into a tight hug. ~What were you thinking, going into the desert alone?! I almost had a heart attack, mom nearly killed me! You know we don't migrate to the other side 'til all the Eggs hatch and most of the Pichus evolve! And another thing, you could have-~ the male Pikachu cut himself off, staring at the Sandshew, then Molly, then up to Brandon and some sort of floating dish rag. ~OhmyArcuesyouwereCaught. Mom is going to kill me.~ the Pikachu slammed a paw artfully into his forehead, releasing his sister from a strangle hold of love. ~Brother...?~ the young Pichu patted his back, concerned and rather confused. Though probably not as confused as everyone else around her.

Brandon smiled despite himself, seeing the look of approval cross the Pichu's face. He could feel that she was about to say yes, and only stopped grinning like an idiot when the other voice broke the hesitation in her answer. His head shot up to find the Pikachu's shadow growing larger. It wasn't very long at all before the electric type was at their feet, embracing his sister. Brandon's grin faded into a look of confusion at the exchange, still being too startled to defend the Pichu when her brother assumed her capture. It was only when The Pichu got her word in did Brandon take his chance. <Does... ANYONE here mind explaining this to us?> He asked, stepping forward again, forgetting the Pichu's dislike of him already. As if to help, he clarified the portions he understood, mostly to himself to make mroe sense of it, <He's your brother, and you're supposed to go across the desert for.. hibernation?>
Portia noticed the small group of pokemon forming and had made her way during the confusing conversation to add herself in. She floated slowly down to their side and appeared to be listening intently as if she was really a part of the discussion.

Molly started to smile too as she realized the Pichu was about to agree; until she heard the sound as well. Her ears twitching, and her face turning into one of annoyance, she turned around only to see a Pikachu getting closer, closer, closer- WHAM. Blinking in shock, her mouth dropped open as she watched the Pikachu and the Pichu converse. What the... She glanced at Brandon, raising an eyebrow, and then glanced back at the two mice, trying to go over what had just happened. Her eyes widening, she quickly took a small step forwards. "We didn't catch her. We were about to help her across the desert, since she was having a lot of troubles..." Molly said with a bored expression, looking momentarily back at the Pichu before she returned her gaze to the Pikachu. He was wearing a scarf too? Taygete hardly reacted as the Pikachu appeared, and stayed silent, looking up between Molly and Brandon as they both spoke, and then back to the Pikachu, looking expectant.

The male Pikachu ignored Brandon and rounded on Molly, ~Youweregoingtodowhat?~ he was shocked. ~Look, she's going about this- Hibernation?~ the Pikachu faced Brandon again, reguarding him with a look of 'Are you out of your mind?' ~No. No. Listen.~ he held his paws out, ~We. Are part of a Tribe.~ he paused, to make sure the two were getting it. He was sure their Pokemon already grasped most of what was going on. ~During the Spring time, we are all gathered on the other side of the Desert, where we have safe hallows for raising young. In few weeks before Summer sets in, all the male Pikachus old enough to make the journey, go across the desert to our Living Ground. Where we live in the nice moderatetly warm temperatures through the Fall and Winter. And repeat the process. Got it?~ he paused again, head tilted just slightly.
His sister nodded all through the process. ~I really want to meet my father.~ she offered, as to why she was crossing the desert with no preparations; and all alone to boot.

Brandon still had trouble understanding, but nodded to not display any confusion. It still sounded like hibernation to him, no matter how organized it was. <So.. now what? If she wants to go over and see her dad I don't think it's up to you to stop her.> He said, wishing he could take his words back and.. well.. reword them in a nicer fashion. Of course he didn't want to butt into family issues, but it still seemed pretty messed up to him. He understood the family tradition and the unsafe part of it, but she was being offered a safe way across.. Why not take it?

"Yeah, that's kinda stupid." Molly blurted out without even thinking about it. Still, she didn't want to look like an idiot and apologize, so she kept going, trying to seem a little more respectful. "I mean...why can't you just stay with the females the entire time? If they manage to live there, why can't you?" she asked, truly curious but also a bit peeved at the fact that it felt like her and Brandon were being blamed for this Pichu's decision to venture across the desert. They were only trainers. It made sense that they'd be interested in trying to help this Pichu out. Or, even capture it, she thought rebelliously, and then wondered why she felt so rebellious thinking it. These two were lucky that they weren't being faced with two mindless greedy trainers who would battle them without even trying to be considerate.

The Pikachu stared at both of them. Didn't they understand customs? Surely they had some of their own...~Look, she's just going about this backwards. There's a reason your supposed to travel with everyone when you go across the desert.~ he looked pointedly at both of them, ~Most trainers...Hey, wait. Most trainers don't understand us.~ he blinked, staring at both of them. His sister simply tilted her head. ~It's not stupid.~ she stated, ~But I'm tired of waiting.~ She smiled softly at the Sandshrew that had protected her earlier, and then looked up at Molly - waddling closer. ~I'd still like to go across.~ she reached her leg and hugged it. Finally realizing that these trainers were offering not only to endure with her, but for her. And that, was very nice.

Brandon looked thrilled that the small electric type was willing to trust them. <Well it's decided then.> he said simply, <She will come with us and you can go back to wherever you came from.> After that was said, he chose to ignore anything the Pikachu would say about the matter, and instead focused on the baby pokemon, <We'll get you there when we get there. We're trainers though, and we'll stop to check out the other pokemon in this area.> He was blunt, feeling like he didn't want to try and explain their next stop when it came.

Molly looked down as the Pichu hugged her leg and blushed; this little thing was so cute. She looked at the Pikachu with a bit of a frown now, not understanding this whole deal with the migration and what not. Looking over to Brandon, she smiled faintly, and then looked back to the bigger yellow pokemon. "You can come with us too, if you want. But we're not gonna let you take her back when she obviously wants to meet her dad." Molly said, slightly angry. She wasn't taking no for an answer, and apparently, Brandon wasn't either.
Taygete liked this idea, and shuffled over to Molly as well, standing and looking at the Pikachu sternly, as if backing up what her trainer had said.
