<Well SORRY.> He growled, <It doesn't do it any good to be slowly fainting every time a Sandstorm comes up and then pass out in a desert when we aren't here to help it. It wasn't my fault it started to actually talk AFTER I told my pokemon to attack it.> He looked clearly unhappy, knowing his logic was right but knowing he should have given the electric type a little more time. The deed was done and his Shuppet eyed the pokemon's scarf carefully, wishing she had obtained it.

Seeing the Sandshew's defensive actions, the smaller Pichu sidled closer to it- one paw reaching out towards the Ground-type while the other stayed firmly wrapped around her scarf. "Chuuu..." her ears were down and she moved to hide herself from both of the arguing Trainers by scooting even closer to Taygete. She shivered again, in fear of recieving another hit.

Molly scoffed, still a little unimpressed, though she could see the logic in his reasoning. Or...vice versa. Whatever it was. Taygete stood her ground, staring forwards with a blank expression as the Pichu moved closer to her, and Molly let out a small breath of relief, happy that the Pichu hadn't tried to run away. Deciding that the Shuppet wasn't about to attack anymore, Taygete relaxed a little, not moving but glancing back to the little electric pokemon. <It's ok.> she said calmly, not sure how reassuring that would be, but deciding it was something she could do. Molly glanced towards Brandon now, her tail twitching in impatience. "Maybe it would be better if Portia backed down a bit...?" she offered, trying her best to hide the sarcastic twinge in her voice.

Feeling glum still, Brandon called back the Ghost type who was now starting to lower herself towards the pokemon, remaining super slow it was as if she wasn't moving. When she was about a foot away from her face, she zoomed backwards and swooped in front of Brandon's face. He blinked in surprise, then smiled at the pokemon and patted her. <Hope you don't feel sad. You didn't do anything wrong, Shah.> He said, stroking her again. He didn't want her to get the impression that listening to him was a bad idea. Even if it was quite often.

Feeling greatly relieved the evil dish towel had floated back to the two legged beast, the Pichu poked out from behind the Sandshew, ears flicking. She was feeling a little confused, and almost afraid to feel comfortable again and so muttered a weak, ~H-hello..~ and waved her free paw. The other, however, was still firmly attached to her scarf. She seemed deathly afraid these strangers were going to take it from her.

Taygete smiled as the Shuppet floated back, not feeling any anger towards it in specific; she just didn't want the Pichu to feel so uncomfortable. Molly let herself relax as Portia was sent backwards, and she glanced towards Brandon with a bit of a smile until she heard the small, quiet whimper that was a greeting from the little electric mouse. "Hi there." she replied with a smile, lifting up her hand in a bit of a wave. Taygete looked back to the Pichu now; her curious nature was still getting the better of her.
<So, where did you get the scarf?> she asked again, her black eyes focused on the Pichu's instead of the red fabric around it's neck.

Brandon crouched, having a hard time hearing the small, squeaky pokemon. Portia continued to stare where his face had been, waiting about twenty seconds before slowly lowering herself down towards him and perching oddly an inch from the top of his head. <Sorry.> He said gently to the pokemon, not really caring if she heard or not. As long as he made himself feel better it was okay.

The Pichu winced on reflex when Molly raised her hand, but realized no pain had followed and perked her ears. Maybe these weren't such bad people after all...At the sound of the question, the mouse moved her eyes to look up at the Sandshews - ears twitching, ~I, uh...From...my father.~ she made no move to further explain the scarf, and instead looked softly to the side as her eyes teared up slightly. She nodded at the sorry, and took a slight step away from him. She didn't mean to offend, of course, but getting a smack down doesn't leave one's mind very quickly.

Molly watched with interest as the Pichu said that she'd gotten the scarf from her dad. That's cute, she thought to herself with a smile, until she realized that the pokemon had tears in it's eyes. Immediately, she wondered if anything had ever happened to the little thing's dad...but there wasn't really any reason to go into a worse case scenario. Taygete nodded, her curiousity not quite satisfied, but knowing very well that was the extent her question could go to with correct answers. The ground pokemon blinked, tilting it's head now and immediately wondering why the Pichu was crying. So she asked, <Why are you crying?> Molly was wondering the same thing, but she put her hand to her face and let it slide down as Taygete posed the question. Some things were better off unanswered. At least, that's what Molly had learned. She crouched as well, however, noticing Brandon move down and also noticing the Pichu wince a bit when she'd lifted her hand to wave.

Brandon chose to remain quiet for this one. He didn't wanna mess things up anymore, and Molly was right, the Pichu had been getting comfortable before he did anything. He strained to hear her, and her stepping back made him really irritated but he kept his mouth shut, trying hard not to glower at the tiny pokemon. That probably would scare it away more. And, actually he really didn't care about the pokemon's life story unless he was her trainer. Which he doubted would happen any time soon now that Molly seemed attached and the Pichu seemed to hate him.

The small Pokemon wiped her tears on her scarf, blinking rapidly to clear her vision. ~Nothing...It's, nothing.~ she murmured, looking around at everyone - staring at her. Awkward...~I, uh...I'll be going...~ she took a few more steps backward, feeling as though she had tread upon something between the two tallish beings.

Taygete lifted her head back up a bit as the Pichu dismissed the topic, and began to leave. "Huh?" Molly looked up in surprise. "Oh- w-wait! You're not safe out here in the desert, you can't just go off by yourself." the trainer protested; for a moment, she almost stood up quickly, but decided against the action in case she scared the Pichu away with such a sudden movement. Taygete nodded back in agreement, looking at Molly before turning her gaze to the little wild pokemon. <You should come with us.> she stated blankly. Geh... Molly thought to herself, drooping her head as the Sandshrew spoke it's mind way too easily once again. "T-Taygete, it's not that simple..." Molly offered with a bit of a nervous smile. It wasn't like she didn't want the Pichu to come with her...but such a blatant offer would be unexpected, she figured.

Brandon took this moment to lean forward and whisper into Molly's ear. "You'd better figure something out." He said quietly so the pokemon couldn't hear, "Because I won't let her walk off in the desert. I'll attack her again until she's catchable. The desert is the worst place for a pokemon like her."
The Shuppet over his head was nodding in agreement, though the blank look on her face made it obvious she had no idea what either of the trainers were saying, and probably hadn't been paying attention to anything anyone said after she had attacked.

The small Pichu shook her head- she had inadvertedly took these by-stander's time away from them. She rubbed her head absently, 'And I got a nice little bonk on the head...' Humans were, her father had said, very tricky. ~N-no. I have to get across the Desert.~ she nodded, and turned to look at the very long way left, getting a nice gust of wind and sand to the face. "Chaaa..." she shook herself, waved again to the pair, took a moment of preparation, and started off on her own again.

Molly looked at Brandon with a bit of a frown, knowing he was right. She didn't want to attack it, but what else could they really do? Nonetheless, she'd only do that as a last resort...maybe there was still time to convince it otherwise. As she looked back to it, she winced as she saw the little Pichu get a faceful of sand, and saw it start walking again. "W-wait, you can't just-" Molly awkwardly started forwards, a bit nervous to approach the Pichu, but Taygete was obviously not so hesitant. The Sandshrew walked forwards with ease through the sand and wind, hardly even noticing it, stopping in front of the electric pokemon, and shaking her head. <It's too dangerous for you.> she stated simply, watching the Pichu with an emotionless expression. Molly's hair got flipped around as the wind continued pushing it sideways, and she shielded her face with her hand to watch through bright brown eyes, wondering what would happen. Surely the Pichu had enough logic to realize it wouldn't make it across the desert if it took one step forwards, and nearly two steps back? She let her shoulders relax though as Taygete stationed herself in front of it, but the frown remained on her face.
