The blue furred pooch was hit and sent sliding over the side of the turtle's shell, and growled. Lifting his head he let out a loud Howl, raising his Attack to counter the raise of the Water-type's defense. "Oh, there he goes again." ~I'm okay with it.~ the lizard mumbled, ~Do you think he can win?~ "If he can't, Teken can sweep the remains up. Or, maybe Shields would be better suited. He hasn't gotten to Battle lately."

Not feeling safe enough to fully come out of his shell, the wartortle's head poked out, turning awkwardly to aim a water gun in the other pokemon's direction. When a decent size stream of water pumped out of him, he pushed the rest of his limbs out and rocked to get back on his feet.
<I guess when they told you in the tribe not to fight and you did anyways actually payed off.> The girl squirtle called at him, <But then again.. If you hadn't of practiced we wouldn't be here in the first place..>

Hokuro yelped as the water slammed into him, not expecting a long range elemental attack. Not even Tak knew one...Totally in over his head. But, that didn't matter. Having nothing to Bite but the shell of the turtle, the smaller Pokemon ran at the Water-type with a Tackle as he rocked to get up. If the opponent couldn't stand, maybe he would have a better shot.

The tackle sent him sprawling forward, this time, thankfully, not on his back. His stomach felt the cool ground through the underside of his shell, and he withdrew back into his shell again. Withdraw was a smart move, because it gave him time to think while he was raising his defense. Poking his arms and legs and head out, he rolled to the side in case the other pokemon attacked again, using enough force to land on his stomach before getting back up. Whipping around, he sent a bubble attack as he turned, some of the small circles popping on the back of his shell and beside his face as he blew them in the vague direction of the dog pokemon.

Hokuro blinked, he had been pleased with his hit- but less than pleased with his followup attack of a Bite; it would seem the Wartortle had expected it and rolled away. Turned to see the impendind bubbles, the canine thought quickly and swept his tail into the dirt and hurled them at the bubbles: hoping the Sand-attack would pop the bubbles and save him some HP.

Grumbling, clearly annoyed at the wits of his opponent, the wartortle decided to try and use the screen of sand that came up. In that small time, he pounded forward with a tackle, aiming for where he had last seen the poocheyna. He hoped his accuracy wouldn't be too damaged by running through a Sand Attack.

It was like getting hit by a wall, the square part of the others' shell slammed into his head and caused him to hit the ground and bounce. Ardeo was about to take a step forward and recall his canine, but the Poochyena stood up and lunged at the blue turtle, jaws wide. Aiming a Bite for the exposed skin of his opponent. ..The Reaper Cloth-scarf let out a faint dark glow as the attack was used.

The wartortle protected his face with his hands, which were bit into very easily. The teeth slid in them quickly, and he let out a yell in pain. He smacked his head down, aiming to make contact between his own head and the opponent's. He had high defense, so he figured it would work against self-inflicted damage as well..

Hokoru yelped as a heavy head was slammed into his own, and hit the ground- feeling the damage. He was low on Health, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. He whipped his head towards his foe's legs, fangs flashing again. Ardeo narrowed his eyes, not liking the way the battle was heading.

Grinning, the wartortle kicked both his legs back to avoid the attack and purposely losing his balance to squish the poocheyna under his shelled stomach, forming a sort of make-shift body slam.
Cheers started to come from the squirtle side, clearly expecting their teammate to win.

Ardeo's reflexes happened before the move could be carried out, a beam of red light calling the Poochyena back to the (grudging) safety of his Poke'ball. The Firebird crossed his arms, Tak having crawled back to the safety of the backpack-seat, and raised a brow. If they wanted to continue, he would be more than happy to supply a fight. But most of his Pokemon (except Samantha) wouldn't be able to rumble with a second-stage Evolution (no matter what Type advantage they had).

The squirtles cheered enthusiastically, leaping up and patting their companion on the back excitedly. It was obvious the other two weren't the fighting types based on the complete looks of amazement they gave him. After all, they really weren't supposed to fight in their tribe.
The wartortle glanced up at the morph and the charmander, not quite sure what to do now.
Wild wartortle gains 1 level!

Every fiber of his being wished to throw out another Pokemon, but he paused, "Do you want to keep fighting?" he murmured, glancing at the Poke'ball in which a tired but enraged blue Poochyena was scratching at the walls. Too weak to break it open and start up the fight anew. Tak snorted, one of others could surely finish this Wild Pokemon off.

He snorted, clearly still irritated. <I didn't want to fight in the first place. If I remember right, but it was your squirtle who attacked me in the first place.> He grumbled, sending his own glowering look at the charmander and morph.

"Poochyena." he corrected, tilting his head to the side. "You wounded his pride. Battle or not?" he raised a brow again, Tak leaning on one shoulder. ~Teken could totally take this guy.~ he whispered. "I do need a Pokemon for Surfing..." he shuddered at the thought of crossing large bodies of water. "So, what'll be?"
