The Surskit shuddered at the attack, feeling weaker. He lifted himself up again though and unleashed another Bubble attack. Aron nodded, happy his pokemon could handle himself even without orders. He did need to use a status changer though, to keep the battleground even.

The bubbles hit him slowly, but still hard enough to hurt as they popped against his rough skin. Toto frowned, pausing for a moment to think. Growling slightly in frustration at his inability to come up with some sort of a plan, he ran forwards this time, aiming his claw towards the Surskit with a scratch attack.

The Surskit moved to the side to avoid the claws, being a little too slow and having one of them snag into his side. He let out a squeal, sending Aron a look of distress. Aron took the hint and opened his mouth to give more commands, realizing as he did so that his pokemon only knew the one move. <Sorry Akhiko, you have to keep using Bubble. You can do it.> The pokemon shook his head but used the attack anyways, deciding agility was his best bet. He moved away quickly after the bubbles left him.

Toto ran through the bubbles, his confidence getting the better of him as he did so, going to try to scratch the Surskit. But as it moved away, he tumbled, falling over himself and onto the ground. First the bubbles hit him, and then he missed!? He was getting frustrated. His dreams of battle had been a lot different than this. Why was it turning out like this? This was boring. Still, he went for another scratch attack, getting up- rather slowly, however- and moving towards Akihiko with another claw raised offensively.

This time the pokemon managed to completely avoid the attack again. As soon as he landed from his leap out of the way, he sent another flurry of bubbles at the water type. Eventually the Totodile would start feeling the attacks. He knew he certainly was starting to feel his energy drained and he hoped the other pokemon would give him a break with a status changer instead of another physical hit..

The Totodile fell back as the bubbles hit; this was beginning to get frustrating. As a side-effect from the bubble attack, the poor thing got confused. This seemed like it was one of the first battles the Totodile had ever even been in. In an attempt to attack the Surskit, the Totodile ended up hurting itself; it scratched the tree and then ran right into it, before falling backwards onto the grass, letting out an annoyed groan.

Aron blinked. Was it really that easy to win a pokemon battle? He waved his hand at Akhiko who had looked back to him to see what to do now that his opponent was no longer fighting. He then stepped forward towards the Totodile, stopping when he could look down at the water type in the grass. <Are you okay there?> he asked, blinking down at the little form under him.

It blinked, looking up at the trainer in shock. Flailing two paws full of claws, he rolled backwards, standing up shakily and breathing heavily. <I'm so bad at battling...> he groaned, and then plopped down on the ground in defeat, barely hanging onto the HP he had. The Chikorita, as well as the Cyndaquil, had left; they were nowhere to be found...some friends.

Aron looked around for the pokemon's friends. <Huh. Well you're wild. It's expected. I wonder where your friends went. Maybe they're finding you some berries to help you recover.> For some reason he doubted this, but he didn't want to share what he actually thought. At the same time his Surskit glanced around as if to find them. He took a few steps and then went to the bushes the others had grabbed the berries from. He didn't know why they'd go get berries when he had seen them with some just earlier. He peaked in the bush to see if they were still there.

The two pokemon were definitely gone. They were scared of the trainer now, surprised it was so strong; the heroic stories the Totodile had told them must have been wrong if he'd done so badly in that battle! Humiliated, the Totodile snorted, looking sideways. But then he blinked. "So...wild pokemon are weaker?" he asked, raising an eyebrow up at Aron, still sitting down.

Aron nodded, <That's why we're called trainers. We- uh- train. Y'know.> The Surskit came back from behind the bush rolling two Oran berries out. Aron noticed them and realized the two pokemon really had left. But.. why? His pokemon stopped next to the Totodile, rolling the berries at him before going back to his trainer.

The Totodile looked at the berries and let out a little "Hmph!" folding his paws, until he wobbled a bit, feeling faint. It seemed he had quite a lot of pride. Hesitantly, he reached forwards and ate them slowly, chewing and contemplating with Aron had said. "So uh...you train...what are you training for?" he asked with a bit of a muffled voice, one of his fangs glinting a bit as he chewed, looking at the trainer curiously.
