(( Oh geez thank god XD ))
"Oh!" Imogene looked down in shock at the water, frowning. That's quite the illusion... she thought to herself, feeling her socks get wet. Damn it, I hate wet socks! She didn't have much time to think about it. As she realized how fast the water was coming in, she gasped and hopped quickly through the water, splashing about until she reached the two doors on the other wall. K followed, her, standing on his tippy toes as he waddled through. Not having much time to think about it, Imogene opened the door on the left again, walking in quickly and trying to find where they were supposed to do. The whole skeleton deal from beforehand had shocked her into her senses a bit. What was the plan again? Come in, let Kallan scare you a bit, and then...then what? Oh man...Wait! Find a room to rest up in, and then search for Grepa...lead them away...escape through the window... But they had to find a room where they'd be safe first.

The next room wasn't a room at all, it was a flight of wooden stairs, the only light creeping out from under the door up ahead. When Imogene would put her foot on a step- no matter how long she took to out it there- made a loud blasting noise, rather than a nuisance of a creak. Before Imo and K reached the top, the highest step seemed to stick up higher than the others. Before she stepped on in it lowered, almost in a frantic way, as if someone had been under it..

Imogene ran up the stairs as fast as she could, going faster and lurching more every single time she took a step, sending herself upwards. Slapping a hand to her mouth, she stopped herself from screaming once she was at the top when the stair below her fell down a bit. It scared her to even think there was something below it, something that...didn't want her to know it was there. K was nearly in tears from being so scared. The noises made her feel like she wouldn't be able to hear if anything was chasing her. It was too loud for her thoughts to focus properly, but she forced them too, finally jumping off the stairs and breathing quickly as she found herself at the top, purposefully not looking back down them as she turned to see what was facing her now.

This room was lit properly, unlike the default darkness in every other room. A Banette was in the middle of it, facing a grandfather clock as he shut it's door. It was alerted by the sound of the door opening, and it spun around with a frown on his zipper-like lips. But then it smiled, in a creepy way.
<Oh. I was wondering when you'd get here. See, Imogene, I've been waiting for you.> It spoke calmly, and almost looked dazed as he went on. <You and little K, I'm telling you now your search is in vain. Anything that enters this house stays in this house. The green dog and anything else you've seen.. No touchie.> He intervened his speech with a chuckle. His grin widened as Oran began to hiss and spit below him. <..So get out before I have to say it again, and everything'll be all right. The Haunter behind you can lead you out.> The Banette waved to a stricken Kallan, almost seeming friendly.
He turned to the girl afterwards, waiting for her responce with cold red eyes.

He's only a little bit creepy, Imogene decided, watching it. But, even with all of his words, she knew one thing; he was just a pokemon, like any other pokemon. He just happened to be a ghost one who lived in a Haunted Mansion. One way or another though, that's all he was. Taking a breath, she frowned and shook her head.
"If anything that comes in this house stays in this house, I shouldn't be allowed out as it is." she replied, the calmness of her voice surprising her. "I'm not leaving yet." she added, her eyes momentarily glancing up at the grandfather clock behind the Banette. Was this...Chester? She'd heard Vincent and Kallan mention him... She wanted to turn around to look at Kallan, but her eyes flicked back down at the Banette. She didn't want to take her eyes off of him. She didn't know what was gonna happen, or what he was going to do with her refusal of listening to him. Still, she straightened up a bit, taking another breath as she waited to see what he would have to say, or do. K clung tighter onto Imogene's clothes, staring angrily at the Banette, but not having the guts to do what Oran was doing by standing up to him like that...

The Banette's eyes glittered, barely hearing what Imogene said. He knew she wouldn't back down so easily. He floated in silence for a moment before gathering his words for her. <Oh, Imogene. I'm not just some Ghost, and I'm not just some name. I may just seem like Chester the Jester to you now, but you'll soon figure out how real these illusions are.> His eyes were as wide as a Hoothoot, showing a little bit of the lunatic inside of him. <So if you find yourself screaming too hard, just take a deep breath and let out a little laughter!> Chester let his head bend back in a boisterous laugh, and as his mouth zipped open wide, a swarm of black locusts surged out, their buzzing loud but never drowning out the Banette's laughter.
Kallan's senses quickened as he saw the insect emerge from his mouth. "Follow Vincent!" he hissed in Imogene's ear, quickly soaring off through the abyss of locusts. Vincent picked up a howling Oran with jis mouth, rushing after the Haunter. His fear was strong enough to make his head glow, allowing Imogene to see him even in the clouded area. She was brought to a door that Kallan and Vincent quickly- but quietly, so that Chester didn't know where they were- dissapeared into.

How real these illusions are... Imogene watched him carefully, still not taking her eyes off of him. But...that doesn't even make sense. she frowned now, watching him tilt back his head and start laughing. As the bugs appeared though, she immediately took a few steps backwards, and she glanced sideways behind her as she heard what Kallan had told her to do. Deciding to listen to him, in a flash of red light, K was returned into his pokeball now that she realized her regular clothes had reappeared. Turning around, she looked frantically for Vincent until she spotted him, and followed him quickly, opening and shutting the door behind her as fast as she could but still being careful to keep it quiet as she did so. Turning around, she leaned against it, letting out a breath of relief. This is insane... she thought to herself, straightening up again. It's not like what I thought it would be...

Chester glared around the room as the locusts dissappeared, empty as it had been a minute ago. <Did they leave?> he said aloud, staying silent as if waiting for an answer. After a while, the Banette's scrunched, confused but also angry. Very angry. <Fine then,> he growled, floating towards the ceiling. <Bazeedle! Artemis!> he barked, as he dissappeared from the room. <Get me my flute,> he grumbled darkly.
Vincent moved fast up ahead, but he would lose sight of Kallan if he went any slower. I think something's troubling, he thought to himself as he thought about the Haunter's face as they listened to Chester. Well, Kallan did say he respected that creep. Maybe he's shocked. Vincent was more confused by the Banette's actions than surprised. He hadn't made much sense with the whole 'real' thing. Maybe he really has lost it.
Kallan swerved through door after door, going down hallways and making sharp turns until he found where he had wanted to go. The Haunter sailed through a brown door, his body feeling less tense as he floated in the familiar room. It was a big room, in terms of the high cowling above their heads. A big, elegant bed sat against the wall, a red silk cover draped over it. The was a painting above where one's head would rest, and a dresser with a few books on it. There was a pretty pale red rug beneath Imogene's feet. The dim sunlight creeping through a window revealed the amount of dust floating around the room, as it hadn't been touched in a very long time. But even in the musty old room, it had a sense of freshness to it, being one of the only rooms untouched by the inhabiting Ghosts.
Kallan and Vimcent liked this room a lot.

Once Imogene reached the room, she stopped to catch her breath immediately. It took her a while to do so, but once she had, she looked up and blinked in surprise. This was...definitely real. It was a regular room. She was so relieved, so she let out a big sigh. "This is so much nicer," she couldn't help but say, walking forwards and looking around. What a nice room...I wonder if it ever belonged to anybody. she wondered silently, and then turned to Vincent and Kallan. She could already feel that they were less stressed, too. "This is where we're stopping for a bit, right?" she asked, finding her pokeball and letting out K once more. The Elekid came out with his eyes shut tight, but upon seeing that the room was safe, he happily moved towards the bed and hopped onto it, lying down and letting out a happy sigh that they were safe for the time being.

Vincent smiled brightly, relieved his new friends liked this room after passing through so many bad ones. The Gastly never, ever liked following Kallan when he was busy scaring. He did it once and had learned his lesson- scaring was not for him. "I'm glad you like it! It makes me happy too. I haven't been in it as much as Kallan, but I like it here anyway." Vincent's special place was the Church.
He floated around the room, taking in his surroundings for what he knew was the last time. He sighed, sad to never see these places agains, but he quickly regained a positive attitude. A scary mansion was not his place. He wished Kallan felt that way too..
Speaking of Kallan, the Haunter was bent down nervously, pondering quietly to himself. Vincent wondered what he was thinking, but he had a sinking feeling it wasn't anything good. Chester is making this even more horrible. I hate him! Why does he have to be so mean..
The Gastly stopped where he was, huffing in annoyance about the Banette. Trying to it off his mind, he looked for a distraction. And he found it almost immediately, staring at the painting above K's head.
It was a portrait of a young boy, standing in front of a mother and a father brimming with pride. He had light brown hair, tied together in the back as a short ponytail. His eyes were like a deep sea, matching the mother's. He had his father's hair color and his nose and eyebrows. He looked about fourteen, and a bit lanky, but he was thin in a healthy way. Underneath the painting was a golden plaque, but it was too covered up by dust to read. Vincent didn't seem to notice it.
Besides, he was too focused on the boy in the picture. Even though he'd seen this painting before, he never noticed how oddly familiar the character was..

Imogene glanced towards Vincent, smiling immediately. He really was a great friend. "Well, especially compared to everywhere else," she laughed nervously, glancing back at the door she'd come in by. "It's really nice." K had nearly fallen asleep by now; Imogene figured that was a good thing. Him getting some rest would be good, especially considering...well, she didn't know if the worse had passed yet, but she wasn't about to make any assumptions. Turning around, she followed Vincent's gaze to the photo. "Wow, what a nice looking family." she stated honestly, staring at the three figures in the photo, blinking and studying them as she stood carefully and lightly on the bed, tilting her head a bit. "I wonder how old that is?" her eyes travelled along the edges of the painting, wondering if she could find a date anywhere. When she didn't, she bent down, seeing the plaque. Bringing her sleeve up to her wrist, she tried wiping it, wondering if it would be possible to see any date; but the fact that it was so dusty was almost an indication of its own.

The dust was thick and clung heavily on Imo's sleeve. The message on the plaque was a bit faded, but still readable.
Kallan John Reganen, with Maria Wendell Reganen and John Dane Reganen. 1906.

Narrowing her eyes as she read the plaque, she widened her eyes. The Reganen family. And they used to live here...most likely when it wasn't haunted. She supposed, minus all the creepy things that happened in it now...if the atmosphere of the entire house was that of the room she was currently in...it would have been a beautiful place to live. "1906!" she finally exclaimed. "That's so old...more than 100 years ago...wow." she let out a breath of respect, and then blinked. Kallan? "Hey Kallan!" she turned to him, pointing to the picture with a smile, "The boy in the picture has the same name as you!" Turning back to it, she tilted her head and then laughed a bit to herself. "That's kinda funny," she added. "It's really not a common name. But I like it, to be honest. Kallan. I think it's the L's in the middle." she rambled pointlessly, before looking back to the Haunter.

Kallan, obviously caught off guard by the question, tensed up and made an "Uhh" noise. He tilted his head to her, staring at her from his side profile, and for the first time, possibly ever- the Haunter looked concerned. Kallan blinked and regained his normal stature. His eyes dulled in carelessness. "Yeah, isn't that weird. Humans actually have some taste," he retorted, not showing any weakness as he just had. He turned around and went back to thinking.
Vincent frowned, but only out of annoyance of his friend's lack of compassion. When he turned to Imogene, he wiped the expression off his face. "That is weird. Maybe Kallan's Gengar mommy saw this plaque before us."
Without warning a voice creeped into Imogene's mind. <Help! Help me!>

Imogene stared back at him, and when he retorted, she let her shoulders drop, rolling her eyes a bit with a smile before moving back. "You know, it's funny. I wouldn't think that pokemon like you guys would already have names." she pondered aimlessly, stifling a yawn at the end of her sentence, and raising her hand to cover her mouth. Noticing that he was still thinking, she sat down on the bed next to K who had completely fallen asleep now, and stared curiously at the floorboard, running her toe along an edge in the wood. <Help! Help me!> Blinking, Imogene tensed. Wh...what was that? she thought, glancing over to Vincent and Kallan warily. "D-Did you guys hear that?" she asked, frowning faintly, turning back to look at the floor as she waited, wondering if anymore would come.
