Kallan and Vincent floated side-by-side through Tarro Town, Imogene and Oran right behind them. Well, they weren't right behind them. The Haunter had to make some distance between them, to look inconsipuous. I mean, I can't just look like I'm leading them in. I have to lure them in. And so that was why Vincent was floating backwards, humming a gentle song as he pretended to lure Imogene into the Mansion. The Gastly was too nice to be scary, so this worked just as well.
Kallan and Vincent reached the house, it's wooden frame still holding even after Ghosts had trashed it. The Haunter barely looked at the outside of the house before now, so now he had time to admire what the humans had made for them. Looks like a lucky sucker used to live here.
As he stood in the shadows waiting for Imo to catch up, he noticed two statues of beautiful Bellossom statues on either side of the front door. Oh boy, he thought boredly. Here it comes.
He knew this stupid trick. The figures would stand there, perfectly normal until the human stood in front of the door, trying to open it. They'd let out a bloodcurling screech, turning their head with twisted, ugly faces. Them they usually melted, exploded, spontaneously combust, suffocate itself, etc. The Ghouls who pulled this trick were always the pushovers.
Kallan shook his head at the thought. If I were still here, the ghosts wouldn't be doing this. We're supposed to get people inside the building instead of scaring them off before they even step inside. Yeesh.

Imogene followed, supposedly carrying along with the tune, happily going along with it. It was quite a pretty lilting tune; Vincent was good at that. Still, she made sure not to let her mind sway too much. K followed, apparently hook-line-sinker for the trick as well. "Isn't that beautiful?" she sighed to K, and the Elekid only nodded dreamily. He pulled it off rather well. It wasn't straying too far from his regular personality, anyways. After all this was over, he would need a nice big hug from someone or something. Preferably not a ghost that I'd just fall through, he thought with an inside frown, but he kept a happy look on his face anyways.
"Oh! Look at that!" she tilted her head as she saw the mansion, and studied it. The expression of awe she wore was honest, at least. This place was...beautiful, somehow. As haunted or as terrible as Kallan and Vincent had made it out to be, she could see how trainers would get lured in here. It looked like the perfect old mansion, and perfectly harmless at that.
"Oh...how cute. You know, I'd love a Bellossom as a pokemon." she said, glancing sideways to K with a smile as she noticed the statues on either side. It took her a while to get to the door from the beginning of the small clearing it was in, and she took a step on the front porch, her hand reaching for the doorknob as K followed behind her.

As Imogene reached for the knob, the Bellossoms spun their heads towards the Masquerain morph and hissed loudly, their faces scrunched in a vile manner. Kallan looked less than amused, though. As he floated next to Imogene as she opened the door, he wrinkled his brow and suddenly snapped at the statues. "Shut up!" he barked as he passed through the doorway, leaving behind two utterly confused Mismagiuses.
Vincent floated behind Imogene as the door slowly opened, the creak bellowing through the empty house. In front of her was a passageway into complete darkness. An omnious humming came from behind her, like a weary breeze in the air. From inside a voice beckoned her in, deep but strangely inviting.
"Come on in," called Kallan in a lower pitched voice than usual.

"Oh!" Imogene winced as she glanced down towards the Bellossoms. That was...disgusting. Creepy. Freakish. I'll face worse... Reminding herself of what Kallan had said earlier, she realized those would be the words that would save her throughout this little mission they had. It's all an illusion, it's all an illusion... Freaking scary illusions! Damn it... momentarily shutting her eyes, she took a deep breath, and looked into the dark place ahead of her. For lack of any better term, she labelled it as a black abyss. Fun. "Come on in," Imogene blinked as she heard the voice. He was too good at this. She knew they were pretending, but...this was convincing. Even for her, and she was supposed to be one of the actors... Taking a step inside, her foot landed on the wooden flooring carefully, and then she finally brought her other foot in, and then followed into the direction of where the voice had come from, slowly losing sight of the light that was shining behind her from outside as K followed warily.

Kallab watched Imogene, his pale red eyes showing up as menacing dots in front of her. He simply stared at her, no tricks yet. Instead, he was reviewing what he knew about her personality, what her general fears were based on general assumptions.
Hmm.. Loving, kind person. Likes to help out even in the most rediculously threatening situations.. Okay, easy.
Can calm down easily but isn't aware and cautious about some things. She didn't suspect the Bellossoms of any trickery.. Seriously, happy flower creatures in front of a haunted mansion? Doesn't that stick out like a Wailord at a tea party? Hmmph. This'll be like cake.
Smoldering with sudden contempt, Kallan felt confidence fill in his holes of doubt. Just 'cause Vincent cares about this timid creature doesn't mean I have to! And with his unwavering temper, he went into his nextove without any regards to his softhearted friend. As the Haunter kid floated above the creaky wooden floorboards, he shot his hands down, shooting a stream of violet flames from his fingertips. It landed right in front of him and spread across the ground in a perfect, neat circle around him. Candles all around the room spontaneously lit up as well, purple fire flickering amidst the darkness. The room had a lower and upper deck, broken stairs connecting the two.
Near the upper side of the steps stood a elegant doorway, plainly seen under a lit chandelier. It looked all dressed up for the moment when someone would walk through it's rarely-used doors. It practically begged for Imo to walk through..
But Kallan floated eagerly in front of them, the fire dimmly showing his grim, scowling face.
Scrunched over, the Haunter boy merely glared at Imogene and K, convincing himself he hated them very much and would enjoy making them pee their pants in fear for the moment. But that was only until they reached his room.. Kallan figured he could at least a little scream out of the girl. Ooh.. I can't wait to see her face.

Imogene frowned faintly as she saw the two red eyes appear. That was familiar. With a bit of a bored expression, she remembered how much of a baby she'd been when Kallan first arrived. It was funny how much had happened since then...what an insane journey, even now. Hopefully it would be a bit...better after this. And not so scary. She hesitated and stopped as the fire appeared, staring down at it and watching as it lit up the room with help of the purple-flamed candles. She had to continuously remind herself this was an illusion. Illusion, illusion, illusion. A damn good illusion, she thought to herself as she clenched her teeth, glancing sideways at the chandelier. That seemed about right. At least, it seemed like the best place to go at this point. K was shaking next to her, one little paw clinging onto her dress. He didn't know what was going on- or that it was an illusion. She should have told him beforehand. As bad as she felt for the little pokemon being completely confused, she'd have to apologize to him after. Of course, that was only if they got out of here. But...they would. Right...? she thought feebly to herself, taking careful steps towards the old-fashioned doorway, taking a deep breath as she did so. This whole suspense deal was killing her...

Kallan, at that moment, was about to make a creepy opening speech, but.. He thought back to the cabin when Imogene seemed to calm down once he spoke. Hmm. I'll keep the talking to a minimal. Then Kallan remembered: He was supposed to be looking for the Electrike. The scaring was only an excuse to be in the house. ..But, it was only the way he thought, constantly evaluting the situation. And why not have some fun before he got to the middle of the Mansion?
As Kallan thought distractedly (he wasn't on top of his game for this scaring), the creaking noise sounded from up above. The chandelier was moving back and forth wildly, sending dust everywhere. Kallan's eyes opened a bit and he glanced around the room, looking genuinely surprised. He finally saw the decoration, staring for a bit. "That's odd," he couldn't help muttering to himself. He wasn't making that illusion. And that was real dust falling off it. How was that an illusion?
The boy's head shot back to Imogene, shamely realizing he was caught off guard. He dollowes her up the staircase, looking blank as he floated. Next to the door. But then let a huge smile curl on his face, lips turning into a zig-zag, Haunter-style. He lifted his hands in the direction of the door, signalling her to carry on.
Oran, standing near the girl's feet, felt about as comfortable as Imo felt. <I don't like it here," he whispered to her.

Glancing up, she frowned a bit as she watched the dust fall from the chandelier. That was a really good illusion. But...Kallan didn't even seem like he was concentrating. Still, she had to at least look like she was falling for it, so she kept going, walking through the doorway as the Haunter had signaled. <I don't like it here.> Her heart skipped a beat as she looked downwards. She'd completely forgotten Oran was even there. Letting out a breath of relief as she remembered it was just the little electrike, she lifted her head to look at the darkness ahead of her instead. Instinctively, she reached her hand sideways against the wall, trying to find some sort of a light switch. Stupid, she reminded herself. This place was ancient. Even if there were light switches for the chandeliers and what not, they probably didn't work anymore except from command of some idiot ghost who felt like he ran the place. No doubt that something here would jump out at her. She knew it would happen. ...At some point...right? Suspense really was one of her weak points. Her heart seemed like it was going to burst at any point. They better find Grepa soon. It was either this haunted place, or an entire clan of angry electrikes and one very angry manectric to face if they didn't find her. What a great start...

There were no switches of any kind in the hall. Just bare floor and walls, exempt from unlit candles that rested on fancy holders. There was barely any light in the passageway, only a dim light up ahead that, if looked at carefully, was Vincent's headlight. His humming voice filled the room. This time his song wasn't just improvise; it ran close to the tune of "Here Comes The Bride".
If Imogene looked down at herself, she would've seen herself in a silkwhite dress, end sweeping on the ground. As she walked down the hall past each candle, they began to glow a light orange until a flame was there, lighting the room. Once the hallway was lit, the end showed an alter place- and a person standing there, waiting.
It was a boy, dressed up in a tuxedo and smiling exuberantly at Imogene. His brown hair was slicked back and his dark blue eyes shone with a lighthearted glow. His presence was warm and welcoming, unlike the rest of Imogene's day.

<Ah!> K let out a little squeak of shock. Where had Imogene's real clothes gone? Still, he held onto the silk fabric anyways, looking up at the alter in surprise.
...A wedding? Imogene blinked, listening to the tune and resting her gaze on the alter, and the boy standing there. Who was that? And who's wedding was this? He's looking at me...My wedding!? This was...so weird. And yet, she'd come to believe that the boy was real. Was he just as confused as she was? Or maybe he had an idea of what was going on. There's too many questions...I can't just... Imogene kept walking, unable to do anything else. This was more...relaxing. Comforting. It wasn't scary like the fire in the previous hall. Or, at least, that was her comparison. And it brought her back a little bit. Her stomach churned as she continued taking more and more steps towards the alter, until she finally reached it. Stopping, she frowned and looked around, glancing back down the path she had walked. K was staring curiously up at the boy, watching him.

The boy fidgeted nervously as she came closer and closer, standing up straight as she stood in front of her. Up close, the boy looked much like Kallan when he wasn't trying to be a Haunter. The hair and the eyes were obviously different, but his facial features were the same.
Noticing the anxiety in her actions, the groom frowned. <What's wrong, honey? Aren't you happy?> It was a sweetened version of Kallan's voice. <C'mon,> he said, that reassuring smile returning to his face. <Everything will be fine.>
Kallan was about to change the game when a distracting noise interupted his business again. The groom looked over her shoulder, looking confused as the sound of canines barking became louder and louder. Kallan's lack of focus caused his eyes to fade back into a crimson color. <Something's not right,> he muttered to himself in his usual cold voice.
But he turned back to Imogene, his cover the same as it had been before. <Honey, don't worry.. You're safe with me.> His concerned look seemed so real, so sincere..

Imogene blinked, looking back towards the boy who was there. This is so...weird, but... She smiled immediately. It was half-fake and half-real. "N-No, I'm happy! Of course!" she protested, her hands clasping behind her back and her dress swaying a bit as she lifted her shoulders a bit, putting on a happy expression. K blinked in surprise as he saw the groom's eyes change colour, but Imogene hadn't noticed. She'd glanced sideways after hearing the barking, starting to turn around to look behind her, but when the groom spoke again she swung back, listening blankly. Her body had tensed a bit from the noise, but now she relaxed a bit, letting her shoulders drop as she stared at the boy ahead of her. "...Ok..." K, however, wasn't feeling the affects of this. He was still confused, and as he heard the barking, he turned around, standing in front of Imogene now as he peered around her at where the noise of the barking was coming from. He wanted to go back in his pokeball, but...now that Imogene's normal clothes were gone...he didn't know where to look!

Oran looked back at the noises behind them. He tried to see clearly what it was, but.. He had to get closer if he wanted to figure out. And he badly did, since he too was creeped out by the spooky mansion... He went coward with a slow saunter, only to be pushed back suddenly by little furry bodies. One glimpse of their gray and black fur, and the Electrike knew they were Poochyenas. Definately real, too. But why were they here in a house of Ghosts?
The groom watched silently as Oran was thrown back by the strange dogs. The dim lighting only cast enough lint to see the shape of their bodies and the glimmer of white sharp teeth. Annoyed that someone kept messing with his "show", he decided it was time to wrap it up in this room.
"Imogene.." The boy started, trailing off from his sentence. As he stared with solemn eyes, something weird was happening on his left cheek. He was chipping. The groom clenched down on his teeth in pain as little bits of his face fell down and disintegrated into dust. By the time he let out a pitiful moan, his whole face was gone. All that was left of him was a walking skeleton in a fine tuxedo. "You'll be here with me forever," it hissed, jaw bone still moving. The flames on the candles blasted into raging fires, soft pumpkin color turning into a fearful purple.
The light from the flames turned the whole room purple- which revealed two doors across from each other halfway down the hall.

K glanced sideways in surprise when Oran ventured forwards, and when the Poochyena's went by, he let out a little squeak of shock, moving closer to Imogene, who started to take a step back. His-his face- Her mouth dropping open in pure shock, she stared as the thing ahead of her completely changed. He- he disappeared. A skeleton? A skeleton! "AH!" shutting her eyes tight, she turned frantically to see the flames appearing. Lurching forwards in shock, she held herself back as she looked down in surprise to see Poochyena's. Glancing sideways to try to find a way out, she saw the two doors, and ran immediately for them. Looking back and forth, she forced herself to stop for a moment. Which one? Right or left, right or left- Left! she decided, turning and opening the door, her back curving slightly as she felt the paranoia that the skeleton boy might have chased her. She hated being chased. Shivers ran down her spine, and in a momentary moment of focus, she remembered something. "K?" she said weakly, her voice cracking. The Elekid was right next to her- he'd walked in before her, even, and was even more scared, his little legs shaking as he stepped inside.

(( Ooooh, you just missed the mirror room. Lucky you. xD ))
Kallan's illusion dropped as Imogene dashed into the next room (Oran following in behind), leaving an empty hallway with a Haunter and a Gastly. Kallan couldn't help floating there with a smile on his face. He replayed Imogene's scream over and over in his head, satisfied at his personal sucess. He turned to look at Vincent, seeing as he was a fellow ghost, but forgetting in his excitement of his friend's nature. He was nested by a look of disgust on the Gastly's face, floating off after the girl without saying a word. Kallan blinked and followed behind. Whoopies.
The two were equally surprised when they walked into the next room. The room was filled with water, high enough to cover Imogene's feet. It's source came from a broken window, water gushing out of it like a waterfall. It couldn't have been rainwater, as it fell inside at an unnatural rate. <Eek!> squeaked Vincent as he dashed to the other side of the room where two other doors lay. They were a distance apart from each other and on the same wall. The purple ball of gas turned his gaze from one door to the other, unsure of which door to go in. Anyone would do, though- they needed to get out of this room, fast.
Kallan gaped as the Electrike miserably shook water of his fur. It was real? What the heck was going on in this mansion? Oh no, Kallan thought in horror as a thought finally came to him.. The only thing that could explain all these hauntingly real effects.. "Damn that Chester," Kallan groaned to himself as he floated out of the water's range.
