The Cubone stared at the trainer, shaking his head and hitting the bone against the side of his skull. When he figured that might not get the point across, he moved his hand to his ear, pointing, and shaking his head again. By the look on the Trainer's face, whatever had been said was stupid anyways.

Luke gasped, finally realizing what the Cubone meant. "You can't hear me!" he gaped. "You're deaf...?" he asked, pointing to his own ear questioningly. Wow...weird. "Um..." Pointing at the cubone, he held up a thumbs up in a question once again, raising an eyebrow and attempting to ask whether or not the creature was ok.

The pokemon nodded enthusiastically as the trainer pointed to his own ear. He watched the next set of movements, confused. I am.. up? He looked up, only spotting a confused Wingull who obviously didn't know she wasn't supposed to be here and looked back at the trainer. What else could he mean? Thumbs up... means okay! Am I okay? He nodded entusiastically, putting his own thumb up. But, after a second he seemed to think of something, shaking his head and putting his thumb down. When he seemed to have the trainer's attention he pointed to the bone, then shook his head and pointed to himself. Repeating the moves again in case the trainer didn't understand, he waited for a reply.

Luke almost laughed as the Cubone looked up at the Wingull who flew away, and then smiled as he nodded and held up his own thumb. Nodding back, he watched curiously as the Cubone began to go through a series of actions again. Pointing at himself and then at the bone... "Are you...thirsty?" Luke made a little action of drinking water, and then blinked. Did he mean he was dead or something? A bone, a bone... "Hungry?" he pointed at his own stomach, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

He shook his head at the guesses, pointing at his bone again. He shook it in the trainer's face, trying to tell him it was actually about the object, not a metaphor from it. Then, he shook both his hands, shaking his head as well, before pointing to himself. He repeated this, hoping the other would understand. To try and explain more, he pointed at his bone again, putting his hand on one side and stretching to get to the other side, failing, and only reaching two thirds of the way there. He also pointed to the trail behind him.

Luke watched intently, trying his hardest to figure it out. The pokemon would probably think he was an idiot if he didn't. His eyes widened a bit, his ears perking as he figured he thought he knew what the Cubone meant finally. "You can't carry it? It's too heavy?" he asked, making actions as if to try lifting his bag, but to no success.

The pokemon started to shake his head no at the attempt to guess, but then nodded enthusiastically. He pointed to himself again, then put up two fingers. He then made a scene of switching the bone in between his hands. He did it again, but added a few parts to help. After pointing to himself, and putting up the two he waved a greeting at thin air, switched the bones again, then waved again, turning his back and dragging the bone behind him. He looked at the trainer, hoping Luke had understood.

Luke frowned in confusion. He'd have to narrow it down. "So...someone didn't want their bone...and gave it to you?" In order to try to convey what he thought the Cubone was saying, he pointed at the bone and then at the Cubone again while holding up two fingers at the same time. It was tough for him to figure out what he meant, but...he had to try!

The Cubone twisted his hand a bit to show the trainer was KINDA right, but not all the way there. He thought about what movements to do, but instead reached and grabbed the trainer's hand, continuing his walk forward. He would just show the trainer, then maybe get some help with the problem.

Luke let out a little "Gah-" as the Cubone started to walk, holding onto Luke's hand. Still, he staggered to his feet and managed to grab his bag while following along, wondering where the pokemon was taking him. At least he was kind of correct. He'd been worried that he was way off. "Um..." he looked ahead, unsure of what was happening now.

After a good few minutes of walking, the pokemon stopped and pointed to something to their left. A Primeape lounged on a pile of.. stuff, it seemed. This pile consisted of sticks, pokeballs, potions and a few random trainer things. A bone was propped up against a pile of two scarves, and, hanging off it was a set of keys and a blackbelt was draped to the side. What also appeared to be a Farchetch's stick was buried under a small pile of berries. One TM peaked out from under the Primeape's rear. The pokemon had not yet noticed the trainer or Cubone.

Luke blinked. What a hoard of...stuff. But he thought he realized. Quietly, he knelt down to the cubone, and pointed towards him and then the bone that was propped up against the pile of scarves, basically asking the ground pokemon if that was his own bone and not the one that he was carrying.

The Cubone nodded enthusiastically, setting his bone on the ground and stepping away from it. He then pointed at the Primeape before jumping and grabbing the bone violently off the ground and acting like he was running with it. He set the bone down again before pointing at Luke. He gestured towards his pack and pokeballs and him in general. He tried to think of how to continue, picking the bone up, putting it in Luke's hand, then taking it back.

"He stole it!" Luke figured out. The primeape was collecting junk. He was a theif! Though...the monkey was quite little. Luke turned back to the Cubone, nodding to show that he understood, and then held a thumbs up and grinned before walking over to where the Primeape was, coming into sight of it. "Hey, can I take that bone from ya?" he asked, pointing to the bone that was being propped up by scarves. Even if the primeape refused, well...violence wasn't the answer to everything, but for some reason Luke didn't like the idea of negotiating something with a pokemon who was a theif in the first place, and Taraji hadn't gotten any action quite yet.

The Primeape watched Luke approach through narrowed eyes. He didn't say anything at first to the trainer's request, remaining propped up on his pile like a king on a throne. A sneer started on his face, growing larger as he spotted the Cubone who was waiting anxiously behind the trainer. <Hm.. Lemme think about it.> He started, putting his hand to his fuzzy face where a chin might have been, and looking up. He seemed to recover from thought after a while, responding simply with a snide, <No.> And leaning back against his pile.
