Talia still hadn't released her Pokemon by the time she got to the Route. If she stepped back, she could see the trail winding up the hill. She sighed, hating it whenever she had to take this path for chores or to follow someone until nightfall. It got tiring, to say the least.
Fortunately, she now had a Pokemon to accompany her. With an excited grin, she tossed the newly obtained ball into the air and watched as the Flying type emerged, expression just as confused as when she'd returned it.
"So, my feathery friend!" She called up to it, giving a thumbs up, "You are going to tell me what makes you so cool." She tossed the used Pokeball into the pack she'd snatched off a kid on her way out. She didn't normally steal so publicly, but she was already on her way out when she'd realized she didn't have any supplies. He had the look of a Pokemon trainer, and when she looked inside not only did it have his lunch, but it had trainer stuff as well.
"I really don't know what you're talking about." Was the response, and Talia winked at her.
"Of course you don't! Don't worry, I don't tell everyone everything, either." And with that, she began trumping up the hill, backpack on her back and bird Pokemon following wearily behind her.
"So, you are my new trainer, right?" It was the question she'd asked before, and was ignored in her... possible trainer's excitement.
"Pretty much. Tally Renard at your service!" She saluted, ducking under a branch. Her Pigey went silent, not sure at this point what else to ask. So many questions were busily bubbling in her mind, making choosing one impossible. It was a weird experience for her to be at a loss for words, but she supposed it was a combination of late hour and just overwhelming events that brought the lapse in conversation.

Just a few feet away from the trainer and her pokemon, a few bundles of tall grass shake and shimmer. It comes as an in coming creator walks through nature. Most likely came for the small of food coming from the pack in Talia’s grasp. It’s hard for most pokemon to find something good to munch on in these parts, especially when post of the berries are eaten up by others. As the rustling gets closer, you can start to see what it is that’s hiding. Red fur with stripes of black peek through. Whatever it is, it’s lurking closer and closer to the two. Not the quietest either, so the pokemon must be young and an amature at stalking.
It stops getting closer as the area which it can hide ends. Could be a pacifist pokemon, hoping that the traveling trainer and her pokemon leave some food behind. Or it could just be waiting for the keen moment to attack. All while a flock of swanna fly over head. It’s head pulls up from the grass as the quacking from the great birds fly over. After the revealing, you can see the stalker is no other than a young growlithe still learning to be a hunter.
The growlithe notices that he’s blown his cover and quickly pulls away in the grass. He still hides close in hopes that the trainer brushes aside the fact that he's there. The growlithe was separated from his small pack and he's now left on his own. However, with barely any skill under his belt, he preys that the trainer leave's her pack unattended for just a moment so he can slag a piece of food he can smell. Though the odds of that happening are become rather slim now.

"You know, I decided since you're such a mystery, I'll call you Puzzle." Talia said abruptly, her eyes scanning the area for Pokemon. She looked up at the ball of feathers again, winking, "Unless of course you already have a name. So much to learn~" She lowered her eyes just in time to miss the exasperated look her Pokemon gave her, clearly unsure what she was expecting from her. The exasperation soon disappeared in the realization that she now had a name.
Talia caught sight of the peaking Growlithe instantly, beckoning to her flying-type. The bird dropped low to hover beside her, glancing between her and the Pokemon as if wondering what she wanted. It seemed cruel to simply attack it, but she was eager to impress her new trainer.
"I want you to make your way around him while I distract. When I give the signal, you come forward and attack from behind. Got it?" Talia ordered in a quiet voice. Her Pidgey agreed quickly and did ask requested, flying off to hide. Though, it would have been nice to know what the signal was before she left...
"Come out, little guy~" She cooed with good intentions, "What are you looking for? You lost? Hungry? Trying to attack a newbie?" She laughed and lifted a strap on her bag and gave it a little shake, "I have food."

The small growlithe perks up from the grass. He knows that the trainer noticed his and has either three options: 1. Run away like his mother always told him. 2. Attack like the pack leaders in his pack or... 3. Try a friendly approach and beg for food. The growlithe has seen other pokemon peacefully approach travelers to ask for food, and it has worked. Though he’s never seen it happen in his pack before. The small dog also knows that he might not stand a chance against a trainer. This person might have a nasty team hidden away, but the offering of free food is very tempting.
The growlithe creeps closer, still unsure as to what to do. At least option 2 is out of the question for him, but maybe getting closer isn’t such a bad idea. The raging hunger in his stomach clouds his judgement, pulling him to move closer and closer to the temptress. Before he even realises, the growlithe is completely out from the cover and only a few feet away. He body is close to the ground as if he’s still hiding. He pulls his feet close incase he needs to escape. A strong pounce should be able to get him a few feet away, a nice head start for if the trainer tries to chase after him.
The aroma of food weakens the dog, as the hunger takes further control over his thoughts. The growlithe pulls up into a normal stance as he sniffs the air. With nothing else to lose, the growlithe slowly walks up barking “Can I have some?” Little did he knew, the growlithe is walking right into a trap planned by this clever trainer. The growlithe continues, this time trying to make Talia pity to poor creature. “It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten anything. You’d do me a favor if you shared, really!” The growlithe pulls his tail between his legs and curls his ears down, pretending to be submissive. Hopefully the trick goes well for the dog, but with this girl being the one to try it on, it will surely end poorly.
