Ardeo shimmied down the little tunnel that led into the Secret Base, he dropped the last few feet and landed with a small 'Oof'. He looked around. At. Nothing. It was dark. "Hm." it was new, and this was his first visit to their base after setting it up (boy did it take ages to get it set up). They really needed to work on decorating it; a manly secret base like this just wasn't cool without some posters or something. At least some lights. 'At least I always have a source of light!' he pulled a Poke'ball out of his pocket, and with a flash of white light let out a little orange and brown striped Charmander. "Well, Tak. This is our new secret base. With Dmitriy!" he put a hand on his hip as he surveyed the barely lit room. Tak was largely unimpressed. He walked over and climbed up onto a rock, giving his trainer a flat look. ~We came out here, for this? They're not even here!~ "Not here, yet - we're first!" he grinned, "Not surprising."

Dmitriy retraced the path, remembering the different pokemon he'd seen coming down here the first time. This was where he'd met Karma and battled that Luxio. He stopped, knowing for sure he'd gone to far. "Dammit Bane..." He grumbled, turning sharply to go back down. His eyes caught two lean trees as he was turning, and he stopped abrupty.
"There!" He charged at them, excited when he saw the faint signs of new dirt piled under the bush that lied between them. He got on his knees, pushing the brush aside just enough so he could tug his legs out from under him and begin the process of worming down. It wasn't too tight of a fit, for him at least. But Ardeo was bigger than he was.
It was relieving to feel a larger opening appear beneath him, and after a moment he fell the last foot to the ground. There was a light illuminating the room, and soon it was doubled when Bane dropped down after him.
"Ardeo!" He said excitedly, beaming at the man, "I thought I'd have to wait for another festival to see you. This base idea was a good one."

Ardeo turned and gave Dmitriy a huge grin. "Dmitriy! Yeah! Hahaha, and who knows when we'll get an invite to that. Or, at least me." he scratched the back of his head. He remembered attempting to get into a fight with some of the other guests the last time. He couldn't help it. "So, whatcha been up to?" he moved a little further from the entrance and turned around again to survey the empty walls. With the light of two Charmanders it was much brighter in here; but still. It would be a good idea to get some lights or something for this place.
Tak bounced off the rock as soon as Bane dropped in, losing his particularly gloomy look and instead finding one lit up with joy. ~Bane!~ he bounced over, happy to see her again.

Remembering the chain of events from last event, he could understand why Ardeo had his doubts. "That guy was an asshole though. If anything he'll be the one not invited." Dmitriy said it with confidence, but at the same time... it might just be his bias. He liked Ardeo quite a bit, after all. It was hard fo him to believe someone wouldn't.
"I've just been catching Pokemon here and there and exploring. Typical Pokemon trainer stuff, you know." He grinned, watching bane as she excitedly approached Tak. The light on the edges of the room dimmed as they met somewhere closer to the middle. "If only I had another Charmander, or a Ponyta or something else that could help us out here. Maybe we should go out and find torches."
<Hey!> Bane said excitedly when they were close, frowning slightly at the other's flame. It seemed bigger, but that might have just been her imagination. No doubt he was still a few levels higher though... <Remember what you said last time? About how the next time I'd see you, you'd be a Charmeleon, at least?> She laughed, circling him, <You're a pretty small Charmeleon.>

Ardeo scratched the back of his head again, feeling a little embarrassed about how he'd approached the other Morph. But the way that Magnemite had spoken to him had made Arde feel like he was back in school; like he should know the answer to something obvious. And he didn't enjoy that feeling. Or school, for that matter. "Eeeh, well. It doesn't matter" He wave a hand noncommittally, "If we're lucky we'll all be invited again." he clenched a fist, "...Maybe...Maybe I can be nice." maybe it was because the other Morph had been a Steel-type? He shook his head, "Uh, I was thinking maybe like those battery powered lantern things? That way we could have a bunch! And, without lots of bodies taking up space." he surveyed the room once more; there wouldn't be enough space to decorate awesomely and have five fire-types lighting up the room.
Tak blinked a few times and crosses his arms, ~Alright, I'm not a Charmeleon yet - but I was taking my time. You know, I like being a Charmander.~ he paused, ~Once we evolve, we can't go back.~ I won't be little anymore... ~I wanted to enjoy riding on Ardeo's back a little more. I only need a few more battles though.~ this was where he knew he had the edge, ~How close are you?~

<Hmmm-> She hesitated, knowing he was a ways ahead of her, <Closer than I was when we met.> She beamed at him, despite the vague answer. She didn't want to hear the difference in their levels, knowing it would only be discouraging. Tak was stronger. For now, at least.
Dmitriy glassed around as well, considering, "We can hang them from the ceiling, one in each side, and one in the middle." He shrugged, "Charmanders work for now since we want them to chill with us anyways. Next festival though, I'm buying that Charizard plush." He grinned excitedly, rubbing his hand together to give his stored energy something to do, "So what pokemon do you have now? We should show each other." As he said it, he lowered his hands to grab one of the Pokeballs at his waist.

He chuckled at the non-answer, about quip her for it before he remembered something Ardeo had given him. He hadn't really had a chance to check it out, and was hoping to have something to show off (since he wasn't rude enough to just say how many levels away he was from being a Charmeleon). ~Hey, look at this cool thing Ardeo taught me!~ he held out his claw and focused, before dipping it down into his shadow and pulling it up with what almost looked like purple fire, ~It's, Shadow Claw.~ he watched it flicker for a moment before he did a small slash to dispell it. He was sure Bane had learned a few new tricks as well.
"Yeah! That'll get us maximum light, plus we'll have Bane and Tak for anything the light misses." he nodded approval, and then laughed lightly at his comment. "Maybe I'll find something to buy there too." he tapped his head in thought. But he couldn't really recall the last festival's wares at all...Oh well! He'd be surprised and buy something random. Just for the sake of buying something. "Hm? What Pokemon do I have..." he thought about it, wondering what Pokemon would show he hadn't been trapped in the seventh circle of hell for the last few weeks of his journey..."Uh. Actually, one of my Pokemon evolved!" was about all he could come up with. 'I traded my sweet little Taillow for an angry Persian' didn't sound nearly as compelling. He grabbed the Poke'ball that held Shields and gave it a small toss, letting the freshly evolved Luxio out.

Excited with the change in conversation, Bane watched the move unfold before her with complete enjoyment. It was cool seeing the different things they were able to do. When he finished, she clapped, grinning as if he had performed a skit for her amusement. <I learned two more moves, but one would be hard to see in here. It's like flying, almost. It's called Aerial Ace> There really was no other way for her to describe the move she'd used earlier. It was like flying, briefly.
Instead, she closed her eyes, feeling the tingling in her tail for a moment before the limb turned a glowing white. With a wild grin, she opened her eyes took a step back, before swiping it and creating a little white line briefly where the attack had been. <And that one's called Iron Tail.> She announced, returning to her stance before him.
Dmitriy looked at the blue pokemon as it emerged in front of him, an initial expression of shock. It took a moment, looking first at the electric-type, before his eyes darted over to the two Charmanders. "Dude." He began, glancing finally up at Ardeo, "We're like... twins, or something."
He grabbed a Pokeball as well, tossing it forward to release his own Luxio. "I caught mine like this," he admitted, watching the electric-type as he shook himself off and looked around, "He doesn't even have a name yet." He released another Pokemon, looking warmly at his Chikorita as he added, "The battle between them was pretty awesome. Please don't tell me you also have your own version" He gestured at the newly released pokemon. "It'd probably creep me out, to be honest."

Quick to be defensive, Tak added ~I also learned Rock Throw!~ He looked around the small room, ~But, uh. Yeah. Maybe when we go outside we can show off our other moves!~ he was pretty curious to see this 'Aerial Ace'. ~Oh, whoooooa!~ he reached a claw toward where the light had been, awed, before shaking his head. He gave her a wide grin. ~We're both pretty awesome~ he raised a claw up, ~And soon we'll both be Charizards!~
Ardeo blinked, staring at the other Luxio right before his. "Uh." he looked back up at Dmitriy. "Wow, are you serious?" he looked back at the Luxio that wasn't Shields and almost felt like poking it. "That's not a Ditto, right?" Arde also glanced over his shoulder at their animated Charmanders. "Freaky." he smiled slowly, "Aha, no. I don't have a Chikorita." he waved a hand, "I did catch a Bulbasaur though!" 'Which is still kinda weird...' "And I traded my Taillow for a Persian...And...oh! I caught an Eevee!" he fished for her Poke'ball for a moment, before letting her out. She was almost immediately on his shoulder and giving him a reproachful glance. She should have been the first Pokemon out of the Poke'ball...But she nuzzled his face anyway. Ardeo glanced at Dmitriy, "You don't have an Eevee, right?"

"Naw, no tricks here. That's a Luxio, just like yours." He laughed at the strangeness of it, "Next time I see you, you'll probably have a Chikorita and I'll have a Persian." He sort of enjoyed the thought, though not particularly liking the idea of training a giant cat. "However... I doubt you find a Cranidos as cool as mine~" He beamed as he snatched the ball containing his, "This is the one I told you was following me, remember?"
Walnut was revealed as the red light vanished around him, stretching immediately. He'd been in a Pokeball for longer than usual, and the feeling was still new to him. It was nice breathing fresh air, even though the air mostly consisted of a muggy, dirt smell. <So this is your base?> He asked, studying it, <Seems kind of empty.>
"We haven't decorated it yet!" Dmitriy responded defensively, hoping the base did look considerably better with decent light and furniture. He was going to add more, but the moment Ardeo let out an Eevee, he couldn't help but melt a little on the inside. He looked fondly at the little fox as she jumped on Ardeo's shoulders and nuzzled him. They were cute, and one of the few Pokemon he recognized without flipping out his Pokedex. "Not yet, but I intended to stop by the Eevee Ranch on my way out of the Meadow." He'd heard of the ranch from a documentary he'd watched while he still lived at home. It was a rare occasion to see Pokemon-themed shows when you only had three channels to choose from, and one was the news. "What did you intend to evolve it into?" On top of recognizing the Pokemon, he could also remember the numerous evolutions.
Bane glanced over at the trainers, frowning. <I think they're content on showing off, so I'm not sure how much longer they plan to stick in here.> She huffed slightly, thinking for a moment before suggesting, <We could have our own adventure, and Aerial Ace some bug pokemon somewhere. It's pretty foresty outside.>

"Wow, that's really creepy. It's almost like two people are putting these Pokemon out for us to catch." he laughed at the thought, and then laughed a little harder at the Cranidos' comment. "We did just get it. At least it doesn't have massive rocks all over the place anymore. That was pretty unsightly..." he scratched his head, "But we do need to get on decorating... It'd be lonely in here for either of us if we happened to drop by while the other was out." he tapped his chin, "Is there another place we can visit that sells stuff for our base?" he didn't want to have to wait until a festival to buy supplies. He blinked, and then returned eye contact to Dmitriy, "I think she wants to be an Espeon." he patted her head absently, "She can't talk." 'Otherwise I would have suggested Flareon...I wonder if that Ranch will let me get an Eevee even though I have Mira and...Phi.'
Tak blinked, looked back at the two trainers and rolled his eyes. ~They'll probably talk all day.~ He nodded, ~Yeah, let's go outside! It's kinda gross in here right now anyway...~ the Charmander hadn't been particularly fond of the fact the base was underground. He liked the sky above his head, not dirt. What if it collapsed? Ardeo had assured him that was pretty much impossible but Tak thought it was pretty darn possible.
