Josie had never expected an actual attack from the Cubone. Thus it came as a shock, giving a very clear hit across the Ampharos' stomach for Hone. <Oof!> She went flying back, eyes lit with surprise. For a few seconds, she lay there reeling over what just happened. Jay's eyes grew wide, and even she was tremendously worried for her older sister, she couldn't help but feel proud for their new friend. The Flaaffy pushed out another thorn near one of Jill's front legs and told her, <Look! That little Cubone finally learned how to fight, that little bugger.>Jill's face lit up with estatic emotion, one she'd never felt for anyone else before.. until she saw a long, yellow and irked Ampharos stand back up again, a furious gleam in her eyes. Bolts of electricity flickered around her body. <Hone! Watch out!> Suddenly the delicate Mareep ripped out of the thorn bush, a single pricker holding her back and making her squeal in pain (not to mention the rest of the thorns tugged off like a bandage). Fortunately Jay was there to loosen it, and Jill thanked her sister tremendously in Spanish for helping. The Flaaffy stopped her before she joined the battle, letting out a deep sigh before she spoke. <Jill.. You do what you need to do. If you want to join the Cubone, in this fight and in his journey, I think you're old enough to make that decision. These guys seem much better than Juliano, anyway.><Thank you, Jay,> she said shakily, unable to contain her happiness and her sadness as they shared a last long hug. Meanwhile, Josefina had already sent Hone a dazzling ThunderShock attack, static flowing from her fur and bolting straight off her. Jill could feel the static in the air, and she immediately unlocked from her sister's embrace. <Eiee! Hone!> After the attack hit (or missed), the Mareep lunged in next to him, handing him a determined look and a wide smile. Jill has joined you to battle! Level 4 Ability; Static- Enemy has a 30% chance of becoming Paralyzed every time they touch Jill.

The electricity, the sparks gathered around Hone's bone, which he held above his head like a lightning rod. Having the same effect as one, the attack was rerouted through his bone and grounded, doing no damage to Hone.
Lowering his head, his eyes lit up as he saw that the sheep-like pokemon he had befriended was beside him.
"Hone, use growl," Kaki called, pressing Ai closer to her chest.
<Na! Pu'me down! You're... crushing... me!>
"Boone," Hone complied, sending his attack-lowering attack at the Ampharos.

Hone's growl missed in the way that Josefina was barely in tune with the words around her. She wad aware, though, that her little sister was fighting against her. For a second the Ampharos filled with sadness. Didn't she see she was just trying to help? To make her life pain free? Apparantly not. But she felt she had to win this battle. Maybe not against Jill, but she wouldn't stop her from fighting too.
And so Jill did. The Mareep bent her legs in a stretch and snapped up to rush at Josie, not nearly as fast as her but doing her best to pull off a good Tackle. Ironically, Josefina had chosen the same move and both were sent right into each other, colliding rather painfully.
The Ampharos held her throbbing nose while Jill rushed to the side to make a path for her partner. <Hone! Go now, she's open!>

Kaki smiled, lightly. This was exciting, but it was dangerous. She couldn't afford to be hesitant but she almost laughed out lout the instant that the Mareep joined. It seemed like they were going to win. Did this mean that she'd gained another pokemon? She shook herself out of this reverie to yell, "Hone, Bone Club!"
<Right,> Hone agreed, and, without further command, he ran forward, bone in hand, lifting it and aiming to strike the Ampharos with his bone of a weapon. He was using Bone Club, of course.
"Hone?" Kaki called. Well, this was her first battle, sort of. Her first battle where a pokemon had made a move without his or her trainer. She loosened her grip on the struggling Eevee within her hands, and the tiny pokemon used the oppertunity to jump down and onto the ground, shaking herself off and running a circle or two around her trainer.
<Na! What were ya tryin' to smother me?> She cursed up to her trainer, pouting lightly.

Jay padded over to the redheaded trainer, hoping she'd be able to explain the situation to her. <Flaaffy flaaf flaaf, fuh flaaff, fuh-flaaffy flaffity-flaaff.> She paused and stared, her purple eyes curious for her response. She added, <Flaaff, flaaffy? Flaaff flaa.>
Josie opened in time to see the Cubone's weapon swing directly into her lovely face. <Oh Dios,> she muttered right before her head went fuzzy from the whack stiff bone.
Jill took this time to prepare another Tackle. Rushing forward with her head out, she only started to regret cutting short her recovery time when she realized she was tottering on her feet. The Mareep hissed some dirty Spanish words as she went flying in the wrong direction of the Ampharos. Josie had tottered to the side like her sister (which was why she had missed), but being in better shape than the sheepy Pokemon, she still could throw an accurate punch. Heating her hand again, Josefina tried to smack Hone with another Fire Punch.

"Huh?" Kaki asked, confused at the strange words of the Flaffy. "I don't understand!" Her attention, unfortunately, shifted away from the battle between Hone and Josie, along with Jill. Her attention was focused on the Flaffy beside her, when Ai stepped in.
<Oi! Speak the king's Japanese!> She barked at the larger pokemon. She turned her head to Kaki as she barked, <Oi! Watch ye'r battle, won't ya? He's gettin' killed out there.>
Unfortunately, this only stirred up more confusion for Kaki. She didn't know what was going on until--
"Bone!" Hone cried as his jaw was smacked with the firey punch.
"Hone!" Kaki called, turning her attention back to her small pokemon. Right. Eyes on the battle.
"Hone, use another Bone Club!" She called, deciding that getting as much damage as possible in fast might be the best way to go in this situation.
<Ok,> Hone agreed, swinging his bone like a samurai swings a sword, right at Josie.

Jay tilted her head at the Eevee's request. <Japanese? What's that?>
Jill slowly got up, glancing over to the battle that Josie had just swung a nice hit in. It seemed the battles was nearing it's end.. So Jill had to do anything she could to keep Hone at an advantage! Thus the Mareep rushed over, balance regained this time, and slammed up against the Ampharos. <Ai! Jill, detente! Detente!> But her pleads didn't make her budge one bit. Squeezing her eyes for impact, Jill was squished under the weight of Josefina as the Bone Club hit her again. Jill crawled out from under her and watched with a twinge of pity as Josie barely managed to get on her feet again and sagged away from her opponent. She raised her claws at him to signal stop, making short gasps to regain her breath. Circling around sluggishly, as if it would keep her safe, she began Growling as her last defense in the battle. Kaki kept her eyes on the battle, seeing her pokemon step back, recoil as the growl lowered his Attack. She shook her head. She decided to finish this as quickly as possible. She had decided it moments before and she wasn't about to change her mind just yet.
"Hone," she commanded, "Once more; Bone Club."
Hone nodded as he charged forward again, raising his bone and swinging it down at the Ampharos once again. Hopefully, this would be the last attack.

Josefina coughed and hacked, but she still had the strength to reach her arms out and grab the bone in mid-air. Her body skid back, as the Cubone's force excelled hers, but she still held on. With her joints all shaking madly, Josie bent her head down and whispered, <Nincompoop,> in Hone's ear. She would not go down without a struggle.

{Lawl Kisari~}
<Bone...> Hone grunted, trying to force his bone down further. Would that actually work?
<Baka! Put some effort into it!> Ai shouted from the sidelines, running another circle around Kaki's feet. "Vee!"
"Hone, try again, once more!" Kaki shouted, clenching a fist at her side.
"Bone!" He grunted, pulling his bone back and slamming it forwards with all of his might, right at the Ampharos's bent down head. A twinge of regret showed in his eyes. But he had been attacked first.

Josefina ricocheted backwards, taking a few steps before keeling over and falling unconcious at Jill’s feet. Josie has fainted. Hone gains two levels! (Two more to reach Headbutt.)
<Eep!> The Mareep cried, stepping back a bit to see the mouth of her sister gaping open right below her. It was awfully strange seeing her, her own blood, knocked out. It wasn’t too uncommon, but this time Jill herself had helped and it didn’t feel so comfortable that she had purpose brought the downfall of the Ampharos. Still, it was for her own good. It was the only way Josie would ever let Jill go.. And something in the back of the Mareep’s mind wondered how true that statement was. It was a bit frightening to think about it... So she didn’t. Looking back up at the <Oh, Hone. You did it.> Jill rushed over and gave an affectionate rub, then sat down and wagged her tail gleefully like a dog. <That was exciting! Let’s do it again sometime- and not on my family, please.> She wasn’t angry when she said that- she actually giggled, to let him know. Jay looked wearily at the unfolding end of the battle, letting out a long sigh at the sight of Josefina on the ground. <Well, I guess things change over time. I think this is the first battle Jill’s won.> Yes, it hadn’t been the first time her sister had tried to escape. As much as she loved to be around the Mareep, Jay knew she’d always had an urge to venture. Her mind was always in the clouds, and she had always wanted to get as close as she could to reaching the skies. Jay decided it was time to let go of her sister, and letting a smile roll on her face she added, <And many more to come, I’m sure.>

Kaki stared, her own breathing heavy as she stared down the fallen pokemon, her gaze shifting to the sheep-like pokemon who had had a hand in knocking out the Ampharos. A smile came over her face and she let out the tiniest of laughs. "Hone~ we did it~!"
<Now what?> Ai asked impatiently. She desperately wanted to hit the road and get moving, which was why she began to edge onwards.
<So... does this mean you're coming with us?> Hone asked, a hint of happiness in his eyes. He'd won his first battle, but it didn't seem like much to get excited about. He was pretty sure the answer would be a yes, from Jill, but he could never be entirely certain.
Kaki approached, however, before the Mareep could answer, picking up Hone and squeezing him in an affectionette hug. "Honeeee~chan! You were awesome!"
<Oof!> He grunted, surprised by his trainer.

The answer yes was obviously right on the tip of her tongue, but she held it in as she looked over to Jay. The Flaaffy, however, laughed from where she sat and yelled, <What are you looking at me for? Go on and tell them your answer!>Jill beamed a smile and replied, <Gracias, hermana!>The Mareep sat at the heels of Kaki, her eyes wide and expectant as she allowed the girl to be her comrade, her teacher in the ways of battling. Of course, this was the only way she could communicate to the trainer but to Hone she said, <I’m ready to go on many amazing adventures with you. Jay’s backing me up on this, don’t worry.>Name; Jill Gender; Female Personality; Jill is sweet and kind to start with, but deep in her heart she keeps her venturing nature close in her values. Jill knows what she wants, but she usually checks if it’s okay with everyone else before she gets ahead of herself. Her sisters she left behind, Josie and Josefina, have little spark in them, having lived with their past trainer Juliano- a mean and cold hearted man who took most of what they had left when he captured them. A new name, a new language.. But with Jill, she let this sink in but made the best of it. That’s Jill’s motto; go with the flow, you’ll never realize where it can take you until you follow it! Level; 4 Moveset; Tackle Ability; Static- Enemy has a 30% chance of becoming Paralyzed every time they touch Jill.

<I look forward to it,> Hone said with a nod. He freed his hands from Kaki's grip and tapped his bone lightly against her backpack. He was trying to get her to pick up the pokeball and use it to "catch" Jill. Of course, all she'd be doing is making it official.
"Oh, right," Kaki chirped, setting Hone down before she dug through her pack. She pulled out a small red pokeball, pressing the button in the middle and holding it out.
Jill leaned her head forward, staring at the pokeball for a breif moment before Hone gave her a nod and tapped on his skull helm. <She won't keep you there forever, don't worry.>
<Right then,> Jill chimed with a smile, leaning forward and allowing herself to be absorbed into the pokeball. Moments later, Kaki released her and smiled at the tiny sheep.
"Alright, let's go then," She chirped with a smile, hopping to her feet.
<Oi! What, am I invisible?> Ai barked impatiently, already ahead of the group. This was going to be a loooooong journey.

A Rattata had been watching the situation from within the bushes, sighing at the passion that had fueled three sisters and a Cubone in so many heart-stabbing directions, oh.. How Violeta loved a good drama every now and then. This was a rare treat, though. And real.. If a Pokemon had tear ducts, she would cry!
<Violeta, hey.> The Rattata cocked her head to see a fellow friend of hers appear, a stocky Turtwig with a dull but warm smile. She blinked and fluttered her eyelids. <Why hello, Verde. It's a beautiful day, huh?> More than he would know, she thought with huff in her mind as Verde indifferently nodded his head. <Yup, a good day to be green..> The turtle creature paused to soak in the sunlight that glanced down on them. For the Turtwig, the sun was intoxicating to him.. One of the many things him and Violeta didn't share in common.
<A rather pissy day to be blanco, though.> The Rattata was referring to the bitter feelings that Ai threw around, loud enough to be heard from miles away. Verde looked down from his bathing to immerse himself into this situation. He judged upon it with a frown.
The Turtwig crawled out of the ferns without a word, stopping where the Eevee would end up shortly. He wanted to see what this furry thing would do, analyze the kind of character this card was. Most likely it would lead to a battle, though.
