Nathan walked down the road, notsure of how to feel or what to do now that he had received his krabby. He guessed it was ok to just keep moving for now, but he had heard something about pokemon that were in sync with their trainers being better partners. He wondered about that for a moment, and then he pulled the pokeball off of his bag and released the pokemon inside. "Uh, come on out I guess?" He said nervously as he released his pokemon.
<OXYGEN! SUNLIGHT! LAND, SWEET, SWEET LAND!> The krabby said blinking and scuttling around for a moment.
Nathan couldn't understand the Krabby, but he knew that whatever he was doing probably had a meaning of some kind. He kept walking a little bit, trying to see if the krabby was going to follow. "I guess let's go then..." He said as he scratched his head.
<Alright! Let's do this!> Krabby clicked his claws together and began to scurry off with Nathan. <Alright, where's the fire, gimme some action here!>
Once again, Nathan didn't understand the little pokemon. It was sort of... Odd. But for some reason he liked just being around the little guy, and as they walked he smiled to himself.

A pokemon had heard the Krabby talking, and it woke up, letting out a little mutter of discontent as it's eyes opened to the sunlight. Angered, it ran out of the bush, stopping directly in front of Nathan and the Krabby. "Oddish!" it cried, obviously unhappy at being woken up. It stood there, now, motionless; probably waiting for the Krabby to attack.

Nathan jumped back for a moment, unsure of what to say or do. All he could really think of was yelling to his pokemon, "K-krabby, Vicegrip!"
<Alright, let's go little weed!> Krabby clicked his claws together eagerly before rushing at the oddish with an attempt to trap the little thing within his claws.

The Oddish fell to the side, hardly avoiding the attack as it was being clumsy. Rolling back onto it's legs, it popped back up and stood awkwardly a little ways away. Finally, it used sweet scent. The wind picked up, carrying a sweet aroma through the air; it truly was delightful, like flowers mixed with honey and the smell of chamomile tea, as well as a perfect tang of citrus and vanilla. Trying to lower the Krabby's evasion, the Oddish now used Absorb, attempting to suck some energy from the crab pokemon.

"Uh, Krabby, try it agai-" Nathan said, before he smelled the scent of the oddish's move wafting through the area. He smelled it for a moment, along with Krabby. Neither of the two was really paying attention until the oddish tried an attack of its own. Krabby clicked his claws, even through the mist of smell to spark his trainer's attention.
<Hey! I don't know if you've noticed but I'm sorta in a pickle over here!> The krabby tried to say though his impatiently clicking claws.
"Wha- Oh right... Um, vicegrip!" Nathan called again, waiting to see if Krabby was hit or not.
Sadly, Krabby did take a hit. It took him a moment before he clicked his claws again and rushed to the oddish, attempting to catch the little guy in his claws.

The Oddish didn't dodge this time, and was hit hard by the Krabby's attack, struggling to get free. "Oddd..." it struggled, using absorb once again, seeing as it couldn't move.

"Uh- Krabby, dodge it," Nathan tried calling to the little red krab.
<You don't have to tell me twice!> Krabby clicked with his free claw before releasing the oddish and stepping away from the Oddish's attack.
"Use a bubble," Nathan tried, becoming slightly more confident with this battle.
<OK!> Krabby's mouth started to foam as the bubbles emerged and started to fly towards the Oddish.

The Oddish fell backwards, rolling a bit before popping back up on it's feet. The bubble hit, but it didn't do very much at all, seeing as how the Oddish was a grass type. It used Absorb again, once again using Sweet Scent, the two moves flying in unison towards the Krabby.

"Krabby, dodge!" Nathan called, although seeing as how one of the moves was a sweet scent, if Krabby was too slow he'd be hit for sure.
<ALRIGHT!> Krabby scuttled away, barely evading the attack before clicking his claws together excitedly.
"A-awesome... Use another vicegrip Krabby, one more time!" Nathan called, proud of his risk taking on the day he had met Krabby.
<Roger that.> Krabby scuttled over to the Oddish again, snapping its claws in an attempt to catch the oddish in a vice grip.

The Oddish was caught in the Krabby's move, and flinched, attempting to use absorb again. However, for some reason, it didn't work. Not much more happened besides the Oddish struggling, but it obviously had lost a lot of HP already.
