Paulina considered swinging, but leaned more towards sticking to her type when she came to the paradise. The Poliwag wasn't sure what she was being put up against when her trainer left her here, but the place seemed deserted. It was quite possible they were the first pokemon here, since the park had just recently opened. Or, at least, that's what Brandon had said. The small water pokemon bobbed easily in the water, enjoying the aloneness in such a vast pool. Unless, of course, a Gyarados or some other pokemon was lurking in the bottom. This truely scary thought sent a shudder down her back and made her consider getting out. She didn't, of course, thinking the idea was impossible because surely a pokemon couldn't be in danger in a pokemon paradise.

<OHMYGODWATER! WATER WATER WATERRRR!> There was a rustling in the trees near the pool. Something was coming. <GET BACK HERE! I'M-> <WATER WATER WATER WATER-> <You stupid Mudkip! It's just wa-> <SUPERSPLASHSUPERCANNONBALLSPLAAAAAAAAAAAASH!> A mudkip exploded from the trees, an extremely happy expression on his face as he soared into the air and fell down in a spinning fury into the water, creating a huge splash and not paying any notice to the Poliwag in the pool. Shikimou burst through the bushes behind him, stopping immediately and shielding his face with his claws as the water fell over him. How could such a tiny pokemon make such a big splash? Maybe White named him correctly after all... he frowned, staring at the orange water in annoyance as the little pink and green ball that was Splash floated in it. Being colourblind was strange. The blue trees nearby held a colour that seemed like it'd be way too strange to be water. <Idiot.> Shikimou stuck his tongue out at the Mudkip before scuttling over, looking into the water enviously. It did look nice...well, why not. Just before going in, he glanced sideways at the Poliwag floating nearby. And she scared him. He had no idea anyone else was there. <G-gah!> he flailed, and instead of going into the water regularly, he fell in. Turning underwater, he came back up, glaring at Splash with only his eyes above the surface of the water.

The Poliwag was caught off guard by the water attacking pokemon. Dipping under just in time for the Mudkip to make a splash that sent her a few feet back. She looked up at them from under the pool but eventually got back up slowly. When she surfaced again she came just in time to watch the other pokemon fall in. Not being able to help herself at this one, she giggled. The small tiny laugh eventually turned into an all out laught and water rushed up her nose, causing her to stop. With a rather unladylike snort the pool's liquids went back into the pull and she coughed to clear her throat. As if they hadn't already noticed, she added, <Sorry. That was funny.> And didn't offer any other explaination.

Splash burst out laughing with her, stopping awkwardly and watching questioningly as the Poliwag had water go up her nose. As she snorted it back out, a huge grin spread across Splash's face and he laughed even harder, pointing at Shikimou. <That WAS funny! And you call ME an idiot! HAHA!> the Mudkip laughed, rolling over onto his back and floating absently as he continued chuckling. Shikimou dipped deeper into the water, disappearing completely from view for a moment. As he looked up though, and saw the Mudkip's back, a bit of a mischevious grin spread across his face.
Swimming quickly upwards, his claws made contact with the Mudkip's back, and began spinning him. <H-hey!> he protested, flailing in an attempt to get down. At first, it looked like the Mudkip was simply spinning on it's own will; until Shikimou appeared, and tossed the Mudkip like a skipping stone to the other side of the pool.
<THAT was funny.> Shikimou said, obviously happy at himself as he saw Splash finally reappear, shaking his head to get water out of his eyes.
