Harry breathed heavily as he watched the ancient bug, trying to regain his breath and his patience. Rosey watched, intrigued by the cautious way this creature moved. She gently sniffed from where she stood, getting a strange, molding scent from him. Ah, right. The smell of old people. Hodoro jittered in place next to his owner, eager to wrap his whole Poliwag charade up and bust a move out yo. Without thinking he tugged on Harry’s shirt, but he didn’t catch his attention as the bug had finally prepared itself for a conversation.
“Hi buggy thing. Um.. Lemme just say, I’m Harry, this is Hodoro, and this is Rosey.” The Stunky had nodded but the Riolu was too unfocused to respond. “We’re looking for, uh, Paul. Have you seen him?” Rosey looked confused, and turned to her trainer. <But.. Isn’t it Poliwag?> “Oh! Right, right. We’re looking for Poliwag. See one of them anywhere?”

He watched them still, not answering until he had thought over the question. <Welllll... If I were fully understanding on who it is you are looking for, it would be mucchhh easier to answer that.> He said slowly, <It would really help if you told me which one. You see, if you are looking for Paul, you must go... hm....> He considered this for a very long time, deciding to himself that he didn't know a Paul so he wouldn't know where he was at this time. He shook this head very slowly. <No, I am not sure about... Paul. I don't believe I know a pokemon here named Paul.> He paused, now trying to remember their other request. When he found the name of the other missing pokemon could not be located in his memory, he finally spoke up again. <If you are looking for anyone, it would benefit you ask the young Chatot down the way. I am quite sure she would know these pokemon. If they are pokemon, that is. I don't know if she'd have any relation to critters like yourself.>

Harry bounced to the aging insect's words with enthuasiam while Hodoro's hopes sunk depressingly to the ground. He thought things would get better from now on but at the words-per-minute rate that the Heracross spoke at, it didn't seem that they would find the Poliwag any quicker if they hadn't started the conversation in the first place. The Riolu sank his bottom to the ground and huffed boredly, picking out a stray tick in his fur. Rosey watched the blue creature talked slowly, doing her best to be patient but losing her patience as the Heracross thought about Paul. Who was Paul anyway? Finally, once the Heracross had finished, Harry shook the creature's meaty claw in a grateful handshake. Hodoro let out a sound of relief upon seeing the conversation closed. "Thank you, Mr.Thing-a-mah-jig! We'll go ask her about it right away. You were very helpful, taking your time out of your day to tell us that." Quietly, the trainer's partner mumbled, <What about our day?> But he was ignored except for a neutral shrug from the pink Stunky. "See you around!" Harry said cheerfully as he signalled to his team to start moving out. He led them until he realized he had another question for the considerate bug. "What's the Chatot's name?"

The pokemon looked pleased at how kind this young gentleman was. He smiled at him. Or, however a Heracross would smile. And turned away. He turned back slowly when the question was asked again, and took ten or so seconds to consider it. Pondering a reply that could answer the question to the fullest.
"We hereeee, in this forest call her... hm... Chatot.." He said, as if that was some strange, unique thing, "I do not believeeee she has any other name... but there are not many Chatots here, so finding her... should not be a chore."

Hodoro stood in place with much frustration as once again, he had to wait for the bag of bones to finish speaking. Heracrosses had bones, right? Once the bug stopped speaking, Rosey piped up with a thank you in place of Harry. The boy reached down to pat his Stunky on the head, delighted by her similar enthusiasm, and added his own graditude to the Heracross. Hodoro said nothing and merely waited for everyone to walk again.
Along the way of reaching the true Damp Grounds, Harry came out with a thought. "Kinda funny, you think, how no pokemon here have names. I never thought anyone would want to be just that Heracross, or that Chatot, or.. that Poliwag. You know? It just isn't that fun." Hodoro grunted in reply. Harry frowned, sensing something was up with him. "Something wrong? You haven't said too much lately." <Nothing,> said the Riolu hastely. <Nothing is up.> Rosey glanced up at the stern-looking creature. She didn't believe him, but she didn't say anything about it. She just kept sniffing for this Chatot, whatever those words. Sounded... Chatty. She had a feeling she might like this Pokemon.
