A Shinx sat, eyes wide as she watched the waves approach the Sunset Beach. The water ran close to her paws before sinking back into the ocean, lapping at the shells and rocks that were lining up before her. The seaweed argued with the ocean, trying to cling to each rush of water and return into the sea, while the ocean tried push it behind. Cali watched, but didn't register. Anything. Her brain couldn't even tell her why she was here, and she barely could remember if this was Sunset Beach or sunrise. Had the sun already come up or was it the beginning of the day? She wasn't sure.
It didn't really matter though. All that mattered was she was here. And it was beautiful, and even though she forgot each beautiful sight as soon as it happened, it allowed her to enjoy each part over and over again. Though she remembered vaguely some urgency that had brought her here. Saddly, no matter how hard she tried she knew she wouldn't find the reason. She never did. She just had to wait, and hope said urgency found her instead.

Concerned blue eyes landed on the little Shinx, and Nova hurried to cover the distance between him and the stranger of a feline. "Hey, miss." he murmured, casting furtive glances around. Viro's quick invasion of the Island made him paranoid, but she was just a normal resident. Probably. "Look, it's safe here. For now, but. It would be better to travel in a group." he felt instantly protective of the small Shinx; she was the first Pokemon he made contact with today, and he was determined not to lose her like he'd managed to lose his Team. 'Just like how I lost my Mentor, and my Teacher...' his heart broke a little more, if he'd been stronger... But no, not even a Lucario could beat Viro on his own. And Nova wasn't even a Lucario, guilty delusions of the heart; that's all. 'But if I could have protected them better... he shook his head, holding out his paw to her, "Name's Nova." the time was now to be friendly with all he saw, and protect what he had left. For now was the time to truly rise against Viro.
