Imogene walked carefully into the church past Vincent, placing her hand cautiously on the doorframe as she stepped in. It wasn't the most homey place, but it wasn't as creepy as she thought it would have been. Searching around, she finally found a small bench to sat on, and sat down. "Ahhh..." she couldn't help it. Her feet were so tired, and she was so tired in general. Finally she turned to lie down completely on the bench, curling over on her side and letting out a yawn. "How long are we staying here?" she called up lazily to no one in particular, her eyes shutting on their own accord as her bag slipped from the bench to the chair. Vaguely, she wondered if this place was haunted. Still...she hadn't gotten much sleep in a while, nor a break.

Vincent had floated through the door right after Imogene, followed by the Electrikes, Penelope and a unfocused Haunter. He was looking around the church inquisitively, as if looking for something that was of importance to him. Hmm.. Nothing out of the ordinary as I can see it. No stone angels were moving around, ancient bibles weren’t floating in the air, and none of the windows were shattering for no reason. I guess we’re the only ones here right now. Thank god. But.. Just to be safe.. The red pigment in Kallan’s irises faded, filling his eyes with a pitch black color. Silohettes of wisping flames could be seen through the stained glass and there was a faint crackling of fire above them. Setting a church on fire was definitely not on the inconspicuous side of distractions. But, it was only a illusion, and the other ghosts would see that and figure someone was doing their business inside. “Ignore that,” Kallan said as he floated past Imogene boredly. "Oh, and not very long."
Oran and his Electrike associate walked down the aisle together, staring in front of them where a snoring Girafarig lay and where a Gastly was floating, curiously staring at a giant cross. <This place is weird,> was Oran’s first comment. <Not as weird as Grepa being your mate,> the other blurted. <Eh. True, I guess. Drop it, though. I don’t want to think about it.> The other nodded, looking away awkwardly. She hopped up next to Imogene, feeling strange being next to her when she usually would’ve tackled the Masquerain morph. Oran went up on the other side, not wanting to be left out but still sharing the awkwardness of her peer. Plus, he had to watch the girl. Had to. Not that he didn’t trust her.. I mean, who gives out free berries and magic rain? Unless it’s a trap.. I dunno, she seems harmless. Oran quickly noted to himself how much he hated the lack of trust he had picked up from his parents and pretty much everyone in his tribe.
The girl Electrike was staring up at Imogene for a little while, she eyes reflecting a mind deep in thought. Finally, the right words came up. <Thanks for poisoning me,> she said calmly, barely hinting at the sarcasm. She quickly added after a short silence, <I just needed to get that off my chest.>

Imogene lifted her head momentarily, surprised by the noise and Kallan's side note to ignore it. When she saw the flames she was scared for a moment, but she stared at the haunter/boy warily for a moment before relaxing a little bit, curling up a bit tighter. "Oh, and not very long." Damn it! her eyes shut tight. She was so tired. Their little plan would have to work well. A weak smile twitched on her face as she thought of how nice it would be to sleep after. Ah...just to sink into the darkness... her shoulders dropped a bit, though suddenly she opened her eyes. She had to stay awake. It would be stupid of her to fall asleep now. That would ruin it. Or, at least, she had to convince herself that. In her mind, the faint image of Flash's passionately angry face was still burning. This was for him, and she had to remember that. And at the same time, it was for her and everyone else. If they didn't get Grepa back they'd all be in deep trouble, let alone too exhausted to deal with it properly. Plus the fact that the poor electrike would be stuck in the mansion all by herself, the little voice in Imogene's mind added. This was all for the greater good. Her eyes widened as the Electrike next to her thanked her so graciously for poisoning her. This woke her up a little bit. Flying up into a sitting position, she looked at the pokemon worriedly. "I'm so sorry! You guys were everywhere, though, I mean...I was just trying to save my own skin. You're alright now though, right?" she asked, truly feeling bad. Her guilty conscience didn't let her forget about stuff like that.

The Electrike gritted her teeth but tried to smile. <Uh, yeah… But I’m not sure about Oran over there.> Oran was laying down, his head on his paws and purposefully not looking at Imogene. He shifted into this position because the other Electrike was pointing out a weakness. He couldn’t show any flaws to the girl. What was she thinking? But.. His pelt was still raked with the stinging thorns. They really did make his day a lot worse. He glanced at Imogene for a second.
Elsewhere, the two Ghostly friends stared up at the large cross in front of them. (Kallan had morphed back into his ghostly boy, so no one would recognize him as a Haunter.) <What does it mean?> Vincent called, totally perplexed by it’s shape and its purpose. The all-knowing Kallan answered his question. “I think it’s used to ward the place of evil, like a spiritual guard.” This didn’t seem to satisfy the Gastly, though. He turned his body towards the Haunter boy. <But.. then, how are we in here?>
Imogene could only see Kallan lower his head a bit and not the unusual rush of guilt on his face.

Imogene looked back at Oran as the other Electrike mentioned him, and she frowned. "You need those thorns out, right?" she asked, finding it somewhere within herself to smile. "It's the least I could do after fighting against you guys back at the clearing." She turned around on the bench to be sitting cross legged, and started carefully working on his fur. It was pretty messed up with everything that had happened. For the most part she had to feel around in his short green fur for the thorns, so it wasn't too much trouble to glance up and look at Vincent and Kallan as they looked at the cross.
She frowned slightly as Vincent pondered why they could be in here if it was to ward evil out. Why would that stop them? They weren't evil. I mean, they're ghosts, but... There was no way. The frown on her face disappeared as she remembered the last day or so. She was confident they weren't, but she didn't feel that arguing would be the best idea right now, so she turned back to Oran and pulled the last few of the thorns out.
"That better?"

The Electrike looked shocked as Imogene started pulling thorns out for him. He squeaked as she pulled out the first one, accidently letting loose some electricity. But for the rest of them, Oran seemed to relax.
Kallan raised his and straightened back out. What was that for? That was uncalled for. He quickly forgot his mixed emotion and reassured a worried Gastly. "Vincent, we're not evil. Sure, we're Ghosts, but have we ever hurt anyone? Well, the Electric dogs... Hurt anyone not foe defense" Kallan seemed shaky in his confidence, but Vincent didn't seem to notice. <Oh, okay. Well, I hope the thing doesn't confuse us for the bad ghosts. I hope we don't look too scary.> Kallan nodded and floated over to the bench Imo sat at.
"Alright, um, Imogene. We should get going now.. The sooner, the better. Okay, so we're going to head inside and look for a Banette named Chester. He'd know what's up.. But I can't be seen with you. So we'll have to pretend that I'm actually trying to scare you. There's no better reason that I'd come back.. "Okay, we'll head in, and we'll go into a room where we can rest up.. And then I'll go and figure out where Grepa is. You, uh, might have to come with me to pick her up. Then we'll head out through the library. We'll come back to this church and pick up the.. Tagalongs.."
Oran sat up, staring at the Haunter boy fiercely. <No. I'm coming with you. I have to.> Kallan paused for a minute, but then shrugged. "Suit yourself."
Kallan turned back to Imogene, looking her straight in the eyes.. "So you remember what I told you? You have to understand before we go. Got it?

She looked up as Kallan came over to her, and started listening intently to the plan. So they had to pretend like he was scaring her...Well, that wouldn't be too hard. As he finished, she nodded. As Oran spoke up, she glanced sideways at him, and then back to Kallan as he agreed. "So you remember what I told you? You have to understand before we go. Got it?" She ran over it in her head. Haunted Mansion, be scared of Kallan, keep an eye out for Chester, find a room to rest up in, possibly go with Kallan to pick up Grepa, and then out the library. That seemed right. "Yep, I got it." she nodded with a look of determination, straightening up a bit.

Kallan's black eyes were still boring into her. This isn't going to be that easy, he thought to himself. You'll be wide awake soon, human. He sneered and looked away as he dropped his illusion outside, eyes fading back to red. "Alright then," Kallan said, his voice lightly echoeing in the dainty little church. "Vincent, say your goodbyes to this place... You might not see it again." He knew how important the place was to the little guy… It was the least he could do for him. Kallan kept his eyes on the Gastly, curious of his reactions.
Vincent looked around the cathedral one last time, taking in the wooden fixture to keep deep down in his memory bank. It was so beautiful.. So solitary.. There was darkness, hiding most in sight, but there was also light, cast in a warm and wide varity of colors. That was just the way Vincent wanted to live. He couldn't say why, but for some reason a bunch of nests on the top balcony seem to catch his attention for a while; most were empty, but some had Taillows and Pidgeys in them. He stared curiously as they picked their wings and ruffled their feathers, cooing softly.
Before he floated off, Vincent said quietly, <Goodbye.>
He stayed next to a seious looking Kallan, who was fighting that wierd mix of emotion that sat in the pit of his stomach. Vincent looked at some birds, so what? Something told him there was something deeper to it, but he chose to push it away. Everything gave him wierd chills in here. <Whatever,> he muttered to himself, moving his eyes from the Gastly to the Electrike to the Masquerain morph. Apart from some weary eyes, everyone looked ready to go. He, of course, was as well. He was far from tired.
The unnamed, umimportant Electrike looked sad as Oran got up to follow the Haunter boy. Don't go, she thought desprately to herself. Without you.. I'm not important. She stared at him as he turned out of the aisle and down the carpeted path, and her attention was only broken when she realized the Girafarig's tail was staring right at her. <Stop looking at me,> she growled to herself, since the giraffe was too far away. <Nothing to see here, ya stupid freak of nature.>

Imogene frowned faintly as Kallan sneered a bit and then left, her gaze unblinking as she watched him float down the aisle a bit and talk to Vincent for a moment, and then watched the Ghastly look around the place with an emotion Imogene couldn't quite figure out. Sadness, loss, regret...a mix? As if I know, she thought to herself quickly, looking down at her lap as her hands turned into fists. These two are so complicated...I can't make any assumptions about them. Even if I'm right, there's always...something else. She glanced back up again, a sudden wave of determination coming through her.
A moment later, a flash of red light appeared, and K was let out. The Elekid glanced up, and Imogene rummaged through her bag to give him her second last berry, which he promptly ate and was back to full health after the potion from earlier. "Alright. You need to just play along with everything, alright? We have this all planned out, so don't worry about a thing." she said with a stern face to the Elekid, hoping he'd take it seriously. Recognizing the fact that Imogene was actually determined about this, he nodded, and followed Imogene as she stood up from the bench and started following Kallan and Vincent.
"Well, see ya." she waved to the Girafarige and Electrike, but then stopped, noticing the Electrike looking rather...annoyed. "Hey- do you want to come?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she paused and took a few steps back towards the green dog.

A brief glimmer of hope appeared on the Electrike's face, and she was about to happily accept the offer.. But Kallan shot her down. <No, we can't have so many. We're already pushing it by bringing this guy." He pointed down to Oran, who, tired of being looked down on, bore his teeth at the ghostly figure. Kallan ignored him. "She'll break her puny neck on the the earth when you escape the mansion. I'm not here to attend funerals, so you are definately not coming." <And what?> barked Oran. <I can suddenly fly?> "No. The girl's gonna carry you." <Oh, great,> Oran muttered sarcastically to himself as they stepped outside to the setting sun.
<This is gonna be great.>
