Escaping

Dmitriy shot Walnut a look, but started chuckling himself in the process. It was indeed very funny how hard he had to work to get his pokemon- who was now staring intently at the ground for reasons unknown- to actually attack.
He watched her, a feeling of dismay filling him at how impossible his mission was. When the bidoof attacked, however, she fell forward into the ground where she had been staring, her face rubbing violently in the dirt. When she got up, she was covered in dry brown dirt all over her front, still staring at the ground where she had come from.
<You squished it.>
A sniffle was the warning before full on tears were streaming down her cheeks and she was shaking. Dmitriy glanced at Bane, obviously rather concerned, before taking a step in her direction. He stopped however when she reached down, still sniffling and picked up a mangled flower, twisted in all directions.
Silence.
Suddenly she whipped around, already forgetting why she was mad and dropping the flower she was holding. She did know that she was mad, however, and used another absorb at the intruder.

[Kai]

~You started it.~ he mumbled, staring at the mutilated flower in the same mix of emotions. And then cringed in pain when he felt his energy get sapped. He turned around on his front leg, pivoting to slam her with his flat tail. On reflex, of course, before looking at the now scattered remains of the once pretty floral fauna.

[Cricket]

Dmitriy felt a surge of pride go to his pokemon. She had actually done what he wanted her to do! Not once, but twice in a row! He watched intently to see what she would do with this next attack.
Kiz shoved her hands in front of her, catching some of the flat tail's blow. She pushed it away gently, walking over to the flower on the ground.
<Your tail almost hit me, silly.> She said, giggling, <Oh... What happened to the flower?>
She looked very very sad all over again, and Dmitriy's excitement took a plunge back down painfully.

[Kai]

~Oh, sorry. I thought for a minute you hit me.~ the Bidoof smiled and then looked over at the flower, ~Oh, gosh. It looks like it got squished.~

~This, has got to be the strangest battle ever.~ Walnut remarked, tilting his head.

[Cricket]

Dmitriy nodded glumly.
<I guess I lost this bet?> He said, questioning a bit.
Bane stepped forward, however,watching the two in front of them.
<I can get some expirience, at least.> He said, not even bothering for an answer. This one would be an easy battle.
Leaping forward, taking Dmitriy's lack of response as permission, he scratched at the Bidoof, doing it as hard as possible to get through the thick fur.
Kiz gasped, backing away from the charmander, her eyes wide.
<Why did you did that?! He didn't do anything to do!> And with that she used absorb on Bane, leeching him of some of his health.
Panicking, the trainer turned to the pokemon beside him. <What do I do now? Do I just let him faint my own pokemon, or what?>

[Kai]

Walnut turned to Dmitriy, blinking, ~Why're you asking me? I'm just a Pokemon.~ he grinned, ~Well, if I were you, I would return Kiz to her Poke'ball.~ he raised a claw to the little Budew. ~Unless you want Bane fighting two...Confused Pokemon.~

The Bidoof fell over on his side, weakened greatly by the earlier attack of Kiz. And with the greater power of Bane he was in the red with his HP....

Dmitriy did as suggested and called back Kiz who probably wasn't sure why she was defending this weird pokemon she didn't know. Bane watched the pokemon, realizing it wasn't moving and feeling a weird satisfaction that seemed rather morbid, but also very natural.
Dmitriy sighed.
<I don't know what to do with it. I can't have to "confused" pokemon. One's good enough for me, thanks.>

[Kai]

~There's no rule that says you have to Catch'em all, is there?~ the Cranidos offered, yawning. ~Kiz is certainly something else. I tol' ya. New Trainers, so headstrong.~ he laughed, and took a few steps forward, not even bothering to look at the Bidoof. It surely got beat before. It would recover.

[Cricket]

<Haha. Well that seemed to be the motto of about every other trainer I met.> He said, chuckling, <It's practically a crime to leave a pokemon defeated.>
As he said this he stepped over the small beaver pokemon, leaving it behind like the cranidos did before him.
<So.. Are you still following us expecting to see me train this Budew, or have you seen how useless that idea was?>

[Kai]

~Ya still got her, right? Well. I'll stick 'round and see how ya do.~ he looked back and grinned, ~'Sides, I need a good change of pace.~
"Aiaiai~pom!" a purple monkey swung through the trees near them, laughing happily and munching on a Berry as it went.
And it also looked like the Route was coming to an end...

Dmitriy ignored the monkey and decided he just needed to restart somewhere else. The crazy pokemon in this road were very hard to deal with and he couldn't imagine a monkey pokemon, of all types, to be any better.
<Sounds good. Let's go.> He said, scooping up his charmander who wrapped himself around his neck like he had previously upon entering the path.

...The Aipom also appeared to be wearing a tuxedo and wearing a mustache... *coughs*
Aipom: Obejection! ))

The Cranidos, after having a short staring contest with the purple monkey, trotted after the Morph and his flame-lizard, humming merrily. ~Where're we off to next?~ he asked, grinning happily. Finally, out in the world.
The Route, however, seemed to let out a collective sigh of relief. That crazy plant Pokemon was gone...Finally...
