The Glaceon-boy heaved a yawn, stretching his arms over his head and hearing a few satisfying pops. It felt good to be moving after such a good rest. Farris, a Pachirisu with the cleanest teeth in the world, was resting on his shoulder, tail curled about the Morphs neck, and watching everything with interested eyes. It had been so long since he was outside...
Keto was trotting at his Trainer's side, grinning happily. He was intent on making new friends again in this Route. But, both he and Psi kept their pace very liesurely - in case the Bellsprout from the Cabin wantd to join up with them. With, perhaps the slightly hysterical Vulpix.

A little farther ahead, a Chatot was resting quietly on a branch, his face covered in glee probably because of the rays of sunlight that beamed on its soft feathers. For a brief moment, it opened its eyes and looked around, and took a second to look at the trainer and his companions. They closed again, but only shortly since they shot right back up. <Hey!> she called, and suddenly sang a happy tune in excitement. <Hey! Hello human boy! Hello Squirtle! It’s so nice to see you!> She played a shrill note as she let out a bundle of energy. <Sorry! I’m just so happy. I’ve been waiting for you!> It could be seen now that the Chatot was holding something beneath her talon, string attached to a little purple box.

Psi blinked as the avian flew over, nearly bursting with apparently sugar-fueled energy. "Waiting..."
~For us~ Keto placed extra emphasis on the "us", pouting at just being called, "Squirtle" when he had recently aqquired a name. After a brief glance at his partner, Psi looked back over at the Chatot,
"Why are you waiting for, us?"

<Ah! Yes!> The Chatot nodded rapidly. <Master told me you would ask this, so he tell me what to say.
He say..>The bird paused for a moment to read the message over in her head. <He say he forget something, from place you come from. He say wait in tree in forest, look for human creature and Squirtle friend walking together. And then he say hand them present, which I can do now!> The bird lifted her wings up and shouted, <Hooray!>
The Chatot calmed down for once and balanced on one foot, slowly lifting the leg clinging onto the item towards Psi.

~"'Master'?"~ Both Keto and Psi said it at the same time, confused. But, still, the bird seemed pretty adamant about handing over the trinket...The Glaceon walked closer, and carefully lifted the purple box from the leg of the Chatot.
~What is it?~ Keto asked, eyes shining with curiousity. A mysterious gift, from a mysterious person.

<Yes, Master.> The Chatot spoke with ominous and determined confidence. Her cheerfulness and excitement almost seemed artifical.
The singing bird stared down at the box, seemly waiting for something to happen. <So, ah.. I think to wait is what to do. Ah! Yes! That was it. Just wait and watch. Box more of message than anything.> The bird then fell completely silent, watching the box as it would eventually reveal itself to Psi and his trusted Squirtle.

It took a while for anything to happen to the box. Upon closer examination, the box resembled more of a toy block, one that a toddler might play around with, and on the bottom, a fancy C was inscripted on it. It seemed pretty old, as the metal letter seemed rusted, and the wood that the cube was made off was chipping..

But, as sound suddenly started to emit from it, the tune it played did not seem eroded at all. It was music, and the quality of it seemed in good condition. The song it played was the familiar (and extremely foreboding) “Pop goes the Weasel”, and before anything could be done, the top of the box ripped off and out soared a springing gag toy with menacing eyes and teeth, hand whipping from the speed of shooting upward. Dark clouds of fog flowed out of the hole where the toy had burst out of the box.

The Chatot, watching the whole event in utter glee, threw its head back in villainous laughter. <Haha! You just walked into that one.. Oh man!> It kept roaring with hilarity until it stopped abruptly, the bird making a sickening cough. It held its breath as suddenly, the Chatot exploded right on the spot, feathers flying everywhere. Underneath all those feathers, a Misdreavus floating with a satisfied grin stretched far on its face. <Master Chester will be happy to hear you got his message! He’ll see you around.. Just follow the music of the jester . . Toodle-loo!> The ghost pokemon flew off, fading into thin air with one last barrel of laughter.

Psi threw the box in surprise while yelping and Morphing into a Glaceon. He shivered, staring at the box with shock and distaste while the Ghost cackled. He didn't even notic the Ghost left until the silence settled onto him like a blanket. Keto was holding him around the waist, looking just as scared, before he whispered, ~I wish I knew more moves then just Tackle. I would have blasted that Ghost with a good Water Gun...~
~Ye-yeah, well. We just need to practice battling is all...Let's keep going.~
~Are you going to stay like that...?~
~Just until my heart stops racing...~ they turned and hobbled off, away from the insane box - and hopefully away from the Ghosts.

A Chatot that sat on the other side of where the Ghost had been was staring with wide eyes and a motionless body, looking as if it been frightened out of its feathers. It lifted a wing and nervously pecked at its plumage, desprately hoping that he was not on the verge of exploding too.

A more concerning sight was back down on the ground, where a Caterpie and a Weedle seemed to be attacking each other, tossing and turning as they tackled and sent needles of poison to each other. They were unconcerned about Psi, and didn't look like they would stop until they shriveled up dead.

~Ah!~ Psi eeped, Glaceon fur standing up straight as his eyes widened at the sound of an epic battle going on. ~We, we should do something!~ he mewled, turning to Keto.
~Hah?~ the Squirtle blinked for a moment, and saw this as a chance to get stonger, ~Right!~ he clenched a fist and dove at the two - trying to hold them apart by the head and keep the needles away by turning his shell at them. He had no idea what he was doing- but he was doing something. And that's what Psi asked him to do.

The Caterpie squealed as it was pulled apart, and the Weedle yelled incoherent words in frustration upon hitting only rock-hard shell. <What is this?> it rumbled, sending lines of string at the Squirtle before it could realize what was happening was not the Caterpie’s doing.
<Hey.. Stop it, I have a Weedle to fight!> It tried to shake away from Keto so it could get back to its match with the other Bug-type.

~Ew~ Keto whined, freeing the Caterpie for a moment to wipe off the white sticky webbing off his face. ~Bleck, you know what- you can fight me now!~ he muttered, shaking himself. ~How about them apples?~
~Uh, Keto, that seems a little...Not what we're trying to do...~ Psi murmured, tilting his head and flicking his tail. Keto was busy glaring at the Caterpie.

The Caterpie landed on the ground, swirming for a second before planting his tiny feet on the ground again. <Rrrgh! Don't touch me! And- and..> He seemed so furious, he could barely form his words. <M-maybe I will fight you!> The worm swayed back and forth, swinging his little stubs for feet as if they were boxing gloves.

<Hey!> barked the Weedle, still angry at the Caterpie. <We're not done, buddy!> The Weedle stumbled over between the two, pointing at his needle frantically at the two. <I'll fire! Don't make me do it!>

Keto, at a cross between scared and irritated, let out a Growl of frustration. ~What are you two fighting about that's so important anyway!?~ he muttered, glowering at the two, tensed. Ready to fight.
Psi was looking between the three Pokemon, shivering slightly. Being a Trainer wasn't too easy, as he was quickly discovering. ~...Be care, Keto...~ he murred, trying to concentrate on Morphing back into his human form.

The Weedle looked up in a bit of surprise, not expecting such a question. It hesitated, and then began to speak in a stammer.
<B-b-because he-> he pointed accusingly with his needle at the Caterpie, <wanted to! It's none of my doing!> he said hurriedly. The Caterpie's jaw droped.
<He's lying! It's not true! HE'S the one who wanted to battle! Not me!> he protested, glaring daggers at the Weedle. At least, they had forgotten about actually fighting each other, now.

"Squirrrrr..." Keto gave both of them a livid look, ~Are you kiddin' me?~ he smacked his forehead with his hand, ~Sounds like your fighting to fight...~ he muttered. Psi blinked, nodding his little Glaceon skull.
~You know, you shouldn't fight for no good reason. I mean, you two could be good friends...~ the little ice blue fox trailed off, wondering what had given either of them the idea the other was attacking, ~So, wait. Who attacked first?~
