The Cranidos narrowed an eye at the Charmander's look, before turning a once more grinning face to the Morph. ~Far as I've seen.~ he said with a proud gleam in his eye. ~Loads of Pokemon are afraid to battle me, though. I got a bit of a bad rep.~ he said with a slightly deflated sigh, ~But, that's okay! I just don't battle as much anymore.~
[/size] { Hurhur. I might surprise you...One day. X3; }

The charmander snorted loudly, crossing his arms. HE could beat this silly pokemon. He didn't say anything however, though the look of complete glowing superiority never left his face. Dmitriy glanced sideways at his prideful pokemon, shaking his head slightly, a smile coming to his face quickly. <Sounds like you've got quite the life then.> He said, grinning at the cranidos.

The small dinosaur caught the look the Charmander gave him, and grinned wider. ~Oh, yep.~ he responded, chest puffed out. ~Everyone leaves me be, though. Kinda lonely. So glad you guys 'ave spared the time to talk to me.~ he smiled, the Magby from before had long scampered off when the Cranidos had padded into view. He stretched a leg, ~Name's Walnut, by the way.~ another gleam in his eye, obviously he had named himself.

<Walnut?> Bane asked curiously, finally speaking up. He didn't know if that was a good name or not because he never heard many names being put in a lab all the time, <Why Walnut?> He had obviously caught on that the pokemon had named himself. <I'm Bane. This is Dmitriy.> The charmander said. <...Thanks?> Dmitriy said curiously, wondering why his pokemon had just randomly spoken up to introduce them. Shouldn't the human introduce the pokemon? He shrugged, not really caring.

~Because.~ the Pokemon stood up a little taller, grinning proudly, ~A walnut has a hard, tough, outer shell protecting the nut inside. Like me.~ refering to his thick skull, protecting him from brain damage when he slammed into objects. He wheeled to face Dmitriy with an even bigger grin, ~Your welcome!~

<You're awful boastful. I'm sure a fight with you wouldn't be as quick and easy as you say it is.> Bane said, much to the dismay of his trainer who could already envision the outcome of such a fight, <I mean.. if we were to fight I'd bet you'd be a little less talk the next time.> His own chest puffed out, trying to match the size of the other pokemon and failing by little under a foot.

~Tough talk, shortie.~ the Cranidos replied, leaning down and lowering his tough headplate, puffing his own chest out. ~But if you want ta throw down, let's do it.~ he took a step back, giving the Trainer-bound Pokemon some room, and looking up at the Morph who had thrown rocks at him earlier for permission to fight. He knew some Trainers were kinda strict, and that some Trainer Pokemon needed instructions to battle.

Dmitriy shrugged, uncaring. It wasn't his choice if Bane wanted to enter a battle he was going to lose. He backed up as well, glancing down at his pokemon. Bane let the air out of his chest, not even attempting to walk with it all puffed out, and took a few steps away from the cranidos, turning to face him when he was far enough away. <Good luck> Dmitriy said, snorting a little. <Wait, aren't you supposed to tell me what to do?> <Am I the one who challenged him?> The charmander shook his head, determination setting his face, but didn't move. <Well?> <Oh. Do I just attack?> <I.. guess.> <I can't do the whole fire breathing thing.> <Just go!> <Okay, okay.> <....We're waiting.> Bane ignored him, muttering something under his breath. <I'll let him come to me.> <That's stupid.> <Just shuttup.>

The Wild Cranidos grinned at the conversation. A first-timer? Fun. "Craaaah!" he shook his head, and began to glow a faint red-orange color, eyes glowing white. ~Fo-cus, Ener-gy!~ he growled, trembling as his focus became completly on this Battle.

The charmander bit his lip, not sure what to do now. He glanced at Dmitriy who's eyes were closed and probably engaged in a world far away from the current situation. The charmander rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed. Finally deciding on an attack, the fire lizard bolted forward, claws outstretched as he readied himself a scratch attack, lunging forward towards Walnut right before he would have made contact. His eyes closed automatically, afraid he would try and reverse it out of terror of hurting his own self if he saw what he was about to hit.

Walnut took the Scratch with ease- his hide was tough afterall- and grinned. ~C'mon, little fella. More effort~ he jibbed, pulling his head back and torpedoing forward at the orange lizard with a Headbutt attack. "Craaahni-Dos~" man, he loved Battling. It was so fulfilling.

The charmander turned just in time to see the pokemon charging after him, putting his hands forward for minor protection. When they caught a hold of the hard head, however, they snapped towards him, pain shooting up his arms as he pushed himself sideways. The damage to his arms was worth it, however, saving him from the damage if the attack hit his stomach or side. Panting, he charged at the pokemon again, lunging at him with his claws outstretched again, trying hard to hit a soft spot by aiming for under his head. Hopefully it would get his face or maybe his neck. Something that would do some damage. The way his first attack had gone unnerved him and he wondered why he had even challenged this pokemon in the first place..

Walnut jerked his head up, keeping his eyes out of the Fire-type's reach, and letting the Scratch slide along his neck, grinning still. Rolling with the move he scooted forward, slid on the dirt, and used Headbutt again; charging the Charmander with his customary 'bumrush' tactic. Crush them before they crush you.

Bane ducked this time, scooting narrowly to the side and slashing his tail in the other pokemon's direction. Flame tails did prove useful when used in battles, he supposed. He tried leaning up on his arms to have better momentum, but they still ached from the original headbutt. He knew another one would probably finish him off.

The Wild Pokemon's eyes widened at the burst of speed, and the tail connected with his back- causing him to tumble forward and lose his footing. ~Ooow.~ he murmured, getting up and dusting himself off, he shook his body with with a roar charged again, head lowered with his signature Headbutt move. The moves were starting to pile up the hurt on him, but he was far from giving up. He could taste victory, and that drove him on.
