The charmander shrugged. <I have.. no idea.> He said, blinking. Taking quick, forward steps, it wasn't long before he was looking into the very large tree trunk that led down into darkness. <You first?> he said, though he had a feeling it would be him going first.

The Cranidos smiled, ~Says the one with a torch.~ he jerked his head back towards's Bane's tail. ~But, I understand. Obviously, the stronger of us two should go first.~ he snickered lightly to himself and made to step forward with his head held high. Darkness was nothing to fear.

The Charmander chuckled and pushed the Cranidos as he entered. <Whatever helps you sleep at night.> he said, still chuckling a little as he followed behind.

~What helps me sleep? I do not have insomnia. In better terms, I sleep like a "Rock"~ the dino replied, an even bigger grin on his face. ~Interesting place...Oh, look. Another light.~ this was one very different from the rough shadows Bane's tail threw. The light ahead was almost like it was a policemen with a flashlight, clinging to a wall and flicking it on...and off. Over, and over again.

The Charmander blinked, gripping his tail and glancing around. When his eyes focused on the little light, he turned to look at Walnut, saying <We need to get closer to get a better look.> He whispered very quietly, taking a step forward even though he couldn't really go far with a Cranidos in his way.

The rock-type trotted forward, out of Bane's lighted circle and towards the prettier light of...Well, whatever it was. He bumped into a few smaller roots underneath the giant tree as his stumbled forwards - keeping just a hop ahead of Bane and his light. A humming noise started up, as they got closer and the light got just a little bit bigger...

Testosterone started to kick in as Bane realized he was being shown up. He glowered at the back of Walnut's head, running forward to be next to him, and slightly ahead. He let go of his tail which swung backwards and, luckily, didn't graze any of the leaves on the ground. Though, deep inside he could feel the rush of anxiousness that always crossed him when he couldn't see.

Almost as if in response to Bane's drastic tail movement, the light that they were getting closer to ran around in a wide circle. The humming grew louder, as they stepped closer, and Walnut - by now - was very very curious about this. Then, almost suddenly, another light lit up someways far off to the left, bobbing up and down.

Bane was having a hard time deciding which light to follow. Finally deciding on the one he had been following, he turned and continued towards it, getting on all fours to make faster strides before it moved again.

The glow from the light got brighter, until the two were both softly illuminated by a...Volbeat! And the humming was the beat of it's wings as it floated in place, "Vooool-beat." the Bug Pokemon blinked at Bane in curiosity, while getting stared at by Walnut with unashame awe.

The charmander looked up at the Volbeat, blinking. He was still on all fours and the pokemon seemed a long way up. <Hey there..> he said gently, looking at the pretty light that made up most of the bug pokemon.

The Volbeat narrowed his eyes at the cooing voice. How old did that...Thing think he was? ~...Who are you?~ he couldn't hide a note of irritation. He had thought that light in the distance was a little odd for a fellow Volbeat. It was...Flickery, and never straight. Something was certainly defective with this Pokemon. The other light, the one blinking and rotating off in the distance stopped and blinked twice. The one hovering in front of Walnut and Bane turned his light to the other and blinked four times in response.

Bane blinked at the voice, going out of the wierd trance he had gone through looking at the pretty light. <I'm.. erm..> He stammered a bit, <I'm a charmander. Bane.> He looked satisfied with that, not really noticing the bug morse code, just staring.

The second light was flying closer now, but still a fair distance. ~Charmander? Bane?~ odd sounding, none of those had ever appeared before. ~And you?~ the Bug turned to face the Cranidos, who was just as mesmerized by the light as his companion. ~...Walnut. Cranidos...~ he murmured, smiling with pride. The Volbeat was almost fed up with these attitudes and was about to say something when he was joined by the other, ~'Ello! What's all this?~ this one was a slightly different shade, and not only did his tail light up, but he seemed to shimmer and sparkle. ~I'm not sure...I think they may be here for training.~

The charmander blinked, not processing anything except that the second one was more... everything. More.. bright, more shimmery, more... beautiful. He stared in awe, not even noticing that the thought about fighting them, or was even getting annoyed in the first place. He couldn't think.. at all..
